If I could give a 0 star I would. My family was looking for a motel for my brother and a friend to stay in and my husband went in to get the prices of the rooms. Keep in mind, it's cold outside so he's let his beard grow out and is using a old, worn-down winter jacket over another jacket to keep warm. The lady at the counter informed him that she needed proof of income BEFORE she gave the prices. When he informed her it wasn't for him but for someone else but they did have proof of income (which is strange. I have NEVER heard of that before), she REFUSED to give any information unless it was to the people who wanted the room. We informed the friend that was also looking and he went in to inquire and the woman told him that my husband was rude and because of that refused to inform him of the rates as well. I do have to put in here that our friend is black. I wanted to test something out so I called and asked about the prices and she had no issue giving me the information I wanted over the phone and when I asked why she couldn't tell someone face to face the information she became hostile and said that my husband was rude from the get. First off, I highly doubt it since I'm the rude one out of us two. He has better people skills then I do. and Second, when she answered the phone she had attitude with me. I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE since the lady at the desk obviously profiles people and uses the "Right to Refuse Service for No Reason" as she put it to profile people and refuse them on their look or if she is just having a bad day. I do not have a issue with her "refusing" to give my brother service. Hell if she would have just told us it was $61+ a night we would have said thanks but no thanks. I have an issue with her profiling my husband.

I wanted to thank larry, he was god sent to me, I m from cali and took the bus to reno. Well my ride couldn't show up and I was stranded in a city I never had been. I went to a few hotels that sat. Night and either there was no vaccines or way too much. I found reno royal and prayed they had a room. I've been dragging my luggage around with me trying to find a room. Tierd,stressed,and at this desperate for a room, well when I got there larry came to the window and I told him what happened, his big heart and professional mannered person he gave me the last room with hesitation, why because the room was still not cleaned all the way and kept saying so, I was just relieved to hear there's a room. And with a price I could afford . When I went to the room I didn't even noticed any mess that needed attention , in fact I thought the room was roomy, cozy, clean and perfect for me to crash, and I enjoyed my stay but also wanted to thank larry so much for helping me when I needed it the most. I will go back anytime to reno royal! Thank you again Sincerely sharon buchanan

Property manager needs to learn customer service or at least some general manners. He treats people like less than scumbags…which he fits the description perfectly. Can’t say enough about this guy. Real issues. Little guy syndrome with a huge complex of daddy/mommy issues

No bugs, no drugs, no noise except the city. Quiet clean. Manager is on top of any problems. Stayed about 3 yrs still living it. New manager has worked hard at room upgrades and keeping it clean and peaceful..

Manager does not tolerate drug's, noise, trash. Clean, quiet, reasonable price. Close to hospital, Walgreens, groceries. Just what I needed. Pay your rent on time,no problems, not on time, problems. Yeah, it's that simple.

They have really cleaned this place up over the last four years. It is an old motel that still needs to up grade it HVAC system, But I give the manager Larry Williams huge credit for the hours of hard work and on going problems he has faced. When remodeling and keeping this place open at the same time. The assistant manager/house keeper (Bree) gives this place a feel of being part of a family. While working hard to keep it clean and ready for the next tenant. It is no longer just another downtown weekly. It's well on its way to being a place you could call home.

The new management has done a fantastic job on this place. My son got a monthly room that had been newly renovated. The place is clean and quiet and the manager does not mess around with shenanigans like drugs or visitors.it is downtown but on a nice quiet and clean street. If you are looking for a monthly, I recommend this place.

The manager went above and beyond, and is truly amazing. This place is perfect for in-between living like myself or extended stays. It is quite peaceful considering it's wonderful location, right downtown. I couldn't be happier!!

I have been here for 4 years (almost) no bugs no drugs no issues. Management is helpful will work with you as long as you communicate rooms are clean and taking care of build is old but still in great conditions. Perfect for locations of shopping river walk
