Nice Prime Rib Special! Large portions, and they happily give you a takeout box. So we came away with a whole other dinner. Theyโ€™ll even let you take away your free pie. If you get a table toward the back of the restaurant, the cigarette smoke is not so bad.

The wife and I ate at The Grille twice on a 3 night trip to Reno. Wanted to try the $12.99 prime rib and eat where the locals eat. First night was fine, 25 - 30 minute wait, not full, tables spread out, not sure if wait had to to with staffing, or wanting you to gamble. Service was good, dinner was good, salad, baked potato, veggies and prime rib. Free slice of pie, not the greatest. Went back 2 nights later, and this time had a 45 minute wait, but it was senior day. Sat for 15 minutes before waitress acknowledged us and took our order, luckily someone else at least brought us water. Almost 30 minutes before dinner came out, and another 30 minutes before she gave us our check. No offer to refill empty water glasses, and after first night, skipped the offer of pie. We hope it was a one off, and they were just short of staff, they seemed to be training 2 hostesses or waitresses. Our waitress, seemed to punch in her orders at front register, and since we were closest table to register, seemed to be doing something besides waiting on customers. The locals seem to like it, they were busy, so this may have been a bad night. First night, staff was friendly, second night too busy trying to keep up. Food was fine, except pie, like everywhere else, just needed more help.

As a local avid customer of this place, I love the facts that the excellent quality of services by all the staff had remains, fee to mentions are the following staff that went above and beyond their duties and makes you feel welcome and always accommodate your needs which is always a plus for me to keep on coming back. From the coffee shop restaurant; Monica (busser); Lourdes (server) who have shown me their excellency at work and duties. Debbie (Security Supervisor); Eddie (security) whom I always feel secure and protected each time I come and visit the place; Alida( cocktail waitress) with excellent customer services, friendly with good heart; always ask and serve you cocktails with or without tips. Not to mention mostly all staff are very knowledgeable with their assigned duties and responsibilities to make Gold Dust West a place to have fun, enjoy and safe to stay. Thank you so much and I highly recommend this place to visit! This is only base on my experience and see and try it yourself.

The Grille as they now call it recently went under a revamp. Almost identical menu with a few changes. New silverware and china. The free pie was redesigned. Instead of slices, itโ€™s made in clear plastic cups. All the food tastes great. The prime rib special pricing went up a few dollars which is understandable given todayโ€™s economy, but the value is tremendous with also a free salad. Look at my pictures. I felt like I ate at a high end steak house. The service was outstanding. The presentation was surprising! Everyone was always checking on us, giving refills, and clearing our table which is something other โ€œlargerโ€ restaurants struggle to do.

Recently remodeled inside. They were able to give an overall sense of cleanliness with wide open spaces. This is a major improvement b/c before the remodel it felt dingy and all the gaming seats and other chairs, benches etc.. were weathered and old not so clean looking. The customer service is barely satisfactory. Food is marginal. Maybe it was the time of night I visited but, the crowd was questionable and edgy. Definitely not gonna have much luck getting a misplaced/lost cell phone or other important possession valuable or not returned. Just saying...

I'm adding a half a star 4 1/2 stars. The remodel came as a surprise. They did a fabulous job. Adding another bar and deli I believe. The atmosphere was exceptionally improved and it won't be long b4 I'm down there again to rate the food. Great job Gold Dust.

I've only eaten breakfast at the restaurant here. Multiple times and I must say it's a hidden gem. The breakfast is great and has good sized portions. The best part is the price! One of the last places in town that still has a great breakfast at a decent price. The staff is also amazing. I have never had bad service here and look forward to having breakfast here again!!!

Amazing atmosphere and that $9.99 Prime Rib Special is HUGE! You get so much food! Seriously, you will not leave hungry! Jacqueline was absolutely fantastic and though the casino is pretty smokey, the restaurant was not. I'm too full to even think about anything witty to say, so here's a bunch of pics instead. Enjoy!

I have been a steady player for years. My wife and I first came here because they had my brand of beer. We've been going there for at least 4 years and spend a good amount money. Now for no reason, they removed our brand (Blue Moon). we are not the only ones who drink. Not sure if we are going back.

My wife and i visited this casino for the first time to check it out. Seems there were a lot of older slots that weren't working where the play button didn't work. Also, very smoky in some areas and slot machines weren't clean after someone left their drinks and trash there. More like an older casino that attracted seniors for breakfast where they all sat at slots waiting to be called to eat.

I visited this casino for the first time on 9/2/23 in order to try the slot machines. As I was looking at some slot machines, a big, fat security guard suddenly waddled up to me and told me that "backpacks" were not allowed and told me to leave the premises. For context, the "backpack" in question was a little sling pack that was smaller than some of the large purses that other gamblers had in their possession. I was also alone, dressed conservatively, and did not appear to be homeless, a drug addict, or a gang member. It's their property and their rules, however odd they may be, so I took my money elsewhere without arguing. I just found it strange they would eject a paying customer for wearing what is a essentially a small day pack. If they don't want my business, I won't be returning.

As a local this is the only casino where I go consistently. It's. The most comfortable atmosphere due to the people and most importantly the workers. All the people who work there are genuine and provide a great experience.

This is ONLY a review for their Prime Rib Dinner in the Cafe. Good points - salad is great, huge baked potato with sour cream, butter, cheese & onions for toppings. Bad points - wish they had the cauliflower/broccoli mix pictured for the vegetable - had green beans - a veggie I have hated since I was a child, and the piece of meat I got was over half fat and/or gristle which had to be spat out, as it was impossible to eat. Good point for the meat - cooked perfectly to my request for medium-rare and, for that which I could eat, it was excellent. If I still had my dogs at home, they would surely have died and thought they'd gone to Heaven with the fat scraps I would have taken home.

I can't fault the waitress. She was kind, but it took almost 15 minutes after we were seated to even be approached and a drink and food order taken. We waited almost 30 minutes before getting our food. And when that came out you could tell it had sat under the warming light for awhile. My baked potato was still hard in the center. My boyfriends gravy for his mashed potatoes was so thick and had a film over in you couldn't even pour it out. Our salads had so much ranch on them it was like having ranch soup with lettuce as garnish. We will probably not be returning.

Prices are average for below average food (now). Sad, they got rid of the old menu. They also only offer breakfast to a certain time now. And lay off the ozone machines. It smells worse than the cigarette smoke. Wait, staff is always super kind and attentive. I'm probably letting this spot go... It just keeps getting worse from a place with an already low bar, in my opinion.

We only went to the restaurant and our server (I forget her name) was SO nice. The whole staff really is awesome. We waited like maybe 20 minutes for our food and she was so apologetic for it taking so long. She was very accommodating and friendly.

I used to love this place. Would have given it 5 stars but I never win anything anymore. Really didn't need to tighten the slots did you?

The grille here is excellent fast friendly service very reasonably priced. I'm sad that the sweets are gone but they still have excellent food and friendly staff.

We did not play the slots. We were passing through Reno and stopped to eat. The Gold Dust had a Prime Rib Special and it was delicious. It was a big cut and came with potato and veggie and a wonderful side salad. Great meal and price was so reasonable. We really enjoyed it. Thank you Gold Dust.

I read a lot of reviews before I went to this place... they were wrong.. Our server at the slot machines ( Dennis) was brilliant, always right there for us and always with a smile, such a great gentleman. The slots were good, If I can play for hours and walk away just a little bit down, then I am a happy camper. I would love to win big like anyone else but I am really there for the fun and excitement. I only gave it 4 stars because they haven't gotten a grip on the air flow in the casino. Other than that what a great night spent. Highly recommend stopping by. By the way I live in the area and have been to just about every casino, this one is definitely one of my top picks.

Went into Gold Dust to use my birthday card comp for dinner. Went to customer service and the woman told me to swipe my card and the $20 would be available to use. I did that but no comp. Got back in line, she was working alone. Told her my issue and she said it showed the comp on her screen so swipe the card again. Which I did. Nothing. Got back in line and she told me she was working alone but to wait and after she helped the people in line she would help me. The couple in line wanted the same comp. They swiped their card, no comp. We got back in line as she still hadn't helped us and she said she would call a manager. This entailed about 20 minutes of waiting time. I overheard her explain to the manager that we were the third people with this issue. She finally came out and agreed it wasn't on the machine. She then said there was nothing she could do as it was a marketing issue and they were closed. We gave up and went to the restaurant. Were told we had a 25 minute wait. So we went to get a drink and play some slots. The upside is we did win some money. Went back to the restaurant after 30 minutes and were told we had another 20 minutes to wait for a table. Two-thirds of the tables in the restaurant were empty. We decided to leave and went to Baldini's for dinner. โญโญโญโญโญ Just received a call from Javier marketing...he made good on repairing the issue. ๐Ÿ˜„

Iโ€™ve gone to this place for years and it has always had a strong smell of sewage near the bathrooms and locker rooms over at the bowling alley. The snack bar over at the bowling is really good but itโ€™s a little pricey. When my bowling ball got stuck the staff looked annoyed and really tired of it.

Beware! Double check your bill. Once again when I paid my bill they did not use my $10 weekly coupon. Instead they took the full price from my comp points. I ordered the pot roast. It comes with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. The menu depicts a lovely plate fill of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. What I got was two large lumps of meat, dry mashed potatoes and a vegetable I can only guess was steamed zucchini. It was the ugliest plate of food I have seen in awhile. No garnish! Not even butter for potatoes ( that should have been covered in gravy). I was afraid to ask for some gravy for them cus I figured they would charge me an extra $3.99 for a side dish! This used to be a very good place to eat. No more! The wait staff was however competent and friendly!

No waiting for a table on a Sunday morning is priceless. The food is good and plentiful, the staff is friendly, your cup of coffee is always topped off and the place is clean. $50.00 for breakfast for 2 , but like I said the food was plentiful and way better than Denny's or IHOP and those places charge similar prices. What I also enjoy about this diner is that it's a big place with lots of elbow room even on a busy Sunday morning.

Great for locals. Great paybacks. We Won! The staff here is really amazing.... These three photos are from our dinner tonight I had the California sandwich which is a chicken breast with pepper jack cheese avocado lettuce tomato and onion on some amazing bread along with a side order of french fries my better half had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with a side order of potato salad... Amazing manual it has been altered lately but you will be pleasantly surprised with their choices... if you are in Reno this is definitely a place to eat some good food and the slots pay back way better than most of the major casinos this is a local secret Casino.... And by the way I want a $10, 400 jackpot on a 50 Cent BET here..

Decent casino. Good restaurant. A nice feature for me was that you have to be 21 to even enter the restaurant. So, no noisy kids when you're trying to have a quiet meal. Nice atmosphere and good prices. Better than average staff.

Great local restaurant. They recently changed the menu and got rid of some of their best items, but what remains is still really great. Their prices are better than most restaurants in the area. Super comfortable retro chairs. Free pie with every entree. I go there a lot!
