I came in for makeup only. Had the pleasure of meeting Fay. Somehow got onto the topic of hair. Next thing I know I’m making an appointment to get my hair color corrected after being assessed by one of the stylists Melinda who was with a client but was kind enough to help! 2 weeks later I am getting my hair done by Chanel. I’ve known about Ulta salons but I had no idea the level of quality and talent of stylist they housed there. Chanel asked questions and was communicative the whole time! She was personal and professional! Spacious, clean salon my favorite are the ergonomic shampoo chairs!! The most comfortable I have ever sat in! Thank you Chanel for making me feel beautiful again, Melinda. Ulta Salon Renton, you should be grateful to have these ladies at your location.

Today, i used the testers to apply them on my arms and legs, then a female employee told me testers r only be used on hands, not on body. OK, but then she went to gossip with another female employee nearby and she laughed very loud. She has a pink/purple hair and is overweight. Btw Ulta is a beauty store, so i think there should be at least some standard about employee appearances. Lots of employees have weird heavy makeup. I wonder who would want beauty advices and services from them

the minute i walked in with my friends around 8 staff started following us. i understand that we’re a group of poc teen girls going into a makeup store together but was that really necessary? we had items in mind that we wanted to buy from there, but the staff made us extremely uncomfortable and it made my social anxiety skyrocket to the max. even when my friend said we didn’t need help, they kept staring and lingering around us. when we left the store i saw them scoffing at us and it made me and my friends feel horrible. staff stereotyped us and didn’t even give us a second to breathe. would not come here again.

This is my first time shopping at Ulta, I wanted to start using makeup but I’m a complete beginner and the amount of information is overwhelming. Carla (Karla?) was my lifesaver! She was extremely patient, helpful, and kind! She listened to me well, then picked out some products that were perfect for me. I could not have asked for a better store associate. I ended up spending $75+ and did not regret a thing. Ask for her if you want 10/10 customer service :)

Had great customer service from Taryn at checkout, 2 stars were decked because a small asian women started following me (quite obvious) and checking my basket to see if I was stealing, I get the, “are you finding everything all right?” But 3x back to back is just harassment. Please take into consideration how your employees make customers feel, and treat every customer equally.

I had a very bad experience with a guy that works there. I had a product in my hand that I was on my way to the till to pay for but I decided to open it and check it first bc they had no testers for this specific product. He rudely told me not to open their product and I explained to him that there are no testers and I’m going to pay for this product anyways. He continued being rude and argued that the tester is there when it was not. He was so disrespectful.

My granddaughter and I, along with her mother discovered alot of wonderful beauty products. There service was great, We bought their facial products at good prices.

Clean store. Helpful associates. Great options. Reasonable prices. Love it!
