Here
you
are
paying
for
history,
nostalgia
and
the
timeless
elegance
of
a
castle
built
hundreds
of
years
ago.
Given
a
choice
between
the
nearby
luxury
property,
Lipprandt,
and
Schloss
Wasserburg,
my
family
would
pick
Schloss
Wasserburg
everytime.
I
do
have
some
quibblels
which
I
will
talk
about
last.
The
comfort
double
rooms
are
spacious
and
luxurious.
You
can
feel
the
history
and
each
room
has
a
unique
feel
with
artworks
and
luxurious
trimming.
Many
have
a
full
or
partial
lake
view.
We
were
able
to
peek
in
many
:)
Our
family
suite
was
located
in
an
end
unit,
in
a
very
quiet
place,
which
was
wonderful.
The
suite
was
elegant
and
luxurious.
The
historic
artworks
wonderful.
The
master
area
was
very
large,
separated
from
the
bathroom
and
a
spare
bedroom
by
a
hallway.
The
master
bedroom
had
two
seating
areas.
One
was
a
full-size
couch,
with
a
hideaway
bed.
The
other
a
large
built
in
nook
with
cushioned
benches,
a
table
and
a
large
window
with
beautiful
views
of
the
property
and
the
lake.
We
enjoyed
sitting
in
the
nook
and
passing
the
hours!
With
windows
in
the
master
open
and
the
spare
bedroom
we
had
a
cool
breeze
coming
through
even
on
hot
days.
Curtains
set
back
from
the
windows
let
you
open
them
at
night
and
keep
the
bugs
out,
as
long
as
you
don't
have
lights
on.
The
breakfast
at
the
hotel
had
a
fair
selection,
limited
though,
but
all
available
was
good
quality.
The
coffee
machine
brewed
perfect
cappacinos,
lattes....
Lots
of
seating
choices
inside
and
outside.
Staff
is
somewhat
friendly,
though
not
always
entirely
helpful.
At
check
in,
the
young
lady
spoke
good
English,
but
the
next
morning
the
lady
spoke
none
or
simply
was
unwilling
to
help
with
our
question
about
the
ferry,
not
something
expected
at
a
luxury
property
where
the
suite
is
$750
a
night
at
full
price
in
peak
summer
season
(Most
high
end
luxury
properties
would
have
a
concierge,
none
here.)
At
breakfast
we
had
similar
experience,
and
a
noted
hesitancy
to
speak
English.
Perhaps
some
of
the
young
wait
staff
are
from
the
nearby
German-French
school.
The
rooms
and
halls
are
clean.
The
cleaning
staff
did
a
good
job.
The
grounds
of
the
property
are
nice
and
maintained
fairly
well,
given
the
current
pandemic
situation
and
lowered
occupancy
probably
as
well
as
could
be
expected.
The
property
doesn't
have
a
spa
or
pool
(which
is
okay
as
we
don't
usually
use)
but
the
beach
area
wasn't
maintained.
So
these
are
services
missing/not
as
expected
at
a
luxury
property.
A
definite
recommendation
for
anyone
who
wants
to
stay
in
beautiful
Wasserburg.
Speaking
of
which,
we
loved
Wasserburg,
exactly
what
we
were
looking
for!
Less
busy
and
less
touristy
than
nearby
downtown
Konstanz
or
nearby
Lindau
island.
The
Echte
Bodensee
card
given
to
us
at
check-in
let
us
use
public
transportation,
including
the
bus
and
the
train
for
free
around
the
area.
