Great value for money. We were greeted by friendly staff upon arrival. The booking has breakfast included and one time 3-course dinner which was delicious and freshly prepared. Breakfast buffet has great selection. The Welcome Drink is definitely not to miss. We spent the 2 hours private session in the wellness center which has four different types of saunas. Overall, a lovely experience.

On the positive side: Cozy hotel lobby, nice staff, great breakfast, and a good location. On the negative side: The dinner in the hotel's restaurant was disappointing. There was only a buffet option, and that was quite expensive (23 Euro + drinks). The buffet itself consisted of two kinds of soups, a choice of salads drowning in mayonaise, and five different "main courses" of poor quality. I would have expected more for that price. The room itself was okay, the bed was comfortable. The balcony was very small, so it felt as if you were standing in your neighbor's room if you used it.

Top hotel

The only dinner option is a buffet, which should be made clear from the beginning. During the weekend, there's no way to get to Monschau Altstadt unless you have a car. Apparently, there's no bus on Saturdays and Sundays. Rooms are very nice and clean.

First time in my life that a waiter seats with me to take the command. Schnitzels served with no lemon, panakoek halfway to thick omelette and bad face if you ask "water uit van de kraan." Avoid for lunch, better go somewhere in Hoffen or surroundings of Monschau.

I booked for a party of eight men with eight motorcycles. I dealt directly with Robert Hoevenaars and obtained a better deal than Booking.com, i.e. cheaper price, pay at premises and free cancellation. This was all done on trust as no card details were taken. I am grateful that the evening buffet was extended because of our late arrival and the free, secure garaging for our machines was appreciated.
