For
clarification:
this
is
very
much
a
"park
here,
walk
to
destination,
and
walk
back"
experience.
The
bridge
itself
is
free
to
cross
and
open
24/7,
but
unless
you
find
street
parking
in
the
nearby
towns,
you
need
to
park
in
one
of
4
or
5
lots
(all
but
the
farthest
are
pay
per
hour,
the
closest
being
10
euro
for
4
hours,
I
believe
also
24/7
with
automats,
and
at
least
2km
walk
in
each
direction)
and
then
you
walk
along
mostly
flat,
paved
and
gravel
trails
to
the
bridge,
which
does
seem
to
be
connected
to
other
hiking
trails
but
is
the
primary
destination
of
these
parking
lots
and
their
trails.
The
visitor
center
has
brochures
with
maps
and
parking
information,
as
well
as
pay-for
toilets
and
a
pretty
good
restaurant
with
indoor
and
outdoor
seating
and
a
great
atmosphere
and
even
better
food.
The
walk
to
the
bridge
from
the
visitor
center
/
park
platz
1
is
NOT
shaded
for
the
first
3/4
and
on
a
hot
sunny
day,
it
was
kind
of
brutal.
There
are
frequent
signs
directing
you
to
the
bridge,
plus
the
crowds
all
go
the
same
direction.
We
brought
our
three
kids
ages
5,3,
and
1.5
-
I
wore
the
baby
and
the
older
two
rode
in
our
double
BOB
stroller.
There
are
a
few
features
for
kids
to
play
with
along
the
way.
Once
we
got
to
the
bridge,
we
tucked
the
stroller
off
to
the
side
of
the
path
and
all
walked
over.
It
honestly
wasn't
scary
nor
did
it
feel
that
high,
but
the
bridge
does
shake
and
sway.
None
of
my
kids
were
scared,
nor
was
I
worried
about
them
falling
through
as
the
sides
of
the
bridge
are
pretty
safe
without
any
large
gaps.
Once
we
crossed,
we
got
ice
cream
and
coffee
at
a
food
truck
that
was
right
there,
then
came
back
and
had
lunch
at
the
restaurant
at
the
visitor
center.
This
was
a
sunny
July
Saturday
afternoon
and
while
it
was
busy,
we
had
plenty
of
opportunity
for
photos
without
people
nearby.
Overall
it
was
about
a
2
hour
experience
for
the
hike
and
another
hour
for
our
meal.
