Went here as it was recommended to me when asking a group about Vegetarian options in Rhodes and I was also told they this place "doesn't rip you off when it comes to drinks" and wow wow wow I am so glad me and my Mum went!! I had Vegetarian Lasagna and my Mum had Vegetarian Moussaka, we both tried each others dishes as well and really liked them, we ordered some potato wedges on the side which were lovely as well. You could tell both meals were made fresh, I even asked for no parmesan on top which they were able to do, absolutely lovely and only €7.50 each!! A great sized portion! Would highly recommend, they have meat options too and lots of drink Options, we just had an English Tea each. Absolutely lovely environment, covered in trees and flowers and mini waterfalls. There are a few cats roaming about like anywhere in Rhodes. You get a table mat which is nice as you know it's clean, the cutlery came in a wallet/envelope and the cutlery was warm so that was nice too. The staff were great and spoke English really well. There are Female and Male toilets, which were clean. Great atmosphere, Great food, Great Service...Happy Days!! 2 mains, a side and a tea each came to just over £20! Bargain! Especially for the old town area!

Whenever we have come to Rhodes in the past we have always walked past and said how nice it looks but never actually been in. This time we actually went for drinks and also a meal a few days later and was really impressed with the restaurant. It has a really relaxed, chilled vibe and has amazing trees and flowers which help enhance the relaxing experience. It’s easy to forget that you’re in the hustle and bustle of the old town while you’re chilling have a drink. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food and drinks are excellent with attentive service by the staff. Overall a brilliant experience and we will be back when we come back to Rhodes in the future.

A little piece of paradise in the old town of Rhodes. Greek music playing in the background, surrounded by trees with the odd water feature here and there. A delightful place to stop for a drink or have lunch.

Very nice place to take a break and relax of busy alleys. Its beautiful garden with bar and restaurant. We had a great coffee and cocktail made from fresh strawbeeries. There are enough places to sit in the garden. There are also two fountains that create a great atmosphere. The service was nice. The toilets were very clean.

We stopped by here on the last day of our holiday, im so glad we did. Its tucked behind the shops and opens into a beautiful, tranquil garden area. Very welcoming and incredibly pretty. Their prices are very reasonable and the coffee is excellent

Lovely cool oasis in the middle of bustling Lindos Old town. It is a little bit hidden but if you know where then visit. Hard working waiters - so leave a tip! Good snack type food and fab milkshakes. Or just a long cold beer in the shade. Recommended without hesitation. 👍😊

A beautiful garden hidden in the middle of the city where you will find a selection of delicious Greek dishes. It's worth it especially for vege moussaka :) ! In addition, cold beer and the coolness of greenery around, what more could you want in July in Rhodes?!

Dropped in for a coffee whilst visiting Rhodes for one day on a cruise. A beautiful garden which is well shaded under trees which on a hot day is exactly what was required. Only had a cappuccino which was very nice and served with a little pot of cinnamon. Good value.

This hidden oasis is a great place to grab a drink or a snack while shopping in Old Town. Truly a garden setting with all sorts of tables, even some made out of stone. We enjoyed the chocolate milk shakes, beer, pizzas and club sandwiches. They also have specialty drinks like Pina Coladas.

Lovely calm setting plenty of shade. Service was good drinks lovely which I found reasonable - visited twice plenty of seating definitely recommend!

Excellent place, the most beautiful settings in Rhodes, a definite hidden oasis from the hustle and bustle, they do not rip you off with prices for food or drink, most places are for example €6+ for a pint of beer, they are €4.40 for Rhodes own draught beer, rest at great price too, Cocktails are stunning, Moussaka was the best I've tasted and only €8.80, staff very friendly and attentive, food great, setting stunning, cheap... Why would you go elsewhere?!

We had a beautiful drink here on a lovely October morning! So nice and peaceful, you wouldn’t think you’re in the middle of the Old Town when you step into this tranquil garden! Lovely and friendly staff who made us feel very welcome! We had two lagers priced at €4.40 each, very reasonable for the location and they were lovely lagers as well! Highly recommend this place for a nice pit stop whilst walking around the Old Town (& they have toilet facilities too!)

This is a beautiful little place, definitely worth a visit when you're in Rhodes, the staff are very friendly and polite, we visited it twice, 3 days apart and the staff remembered us straight away, 5 star's

Stopped here for a frape and a beer. Absolutely lovely place to have a drink. Nice and shaded and a wonderful atmosphere! Lots of little fountains and greenery to help you feel cool in the hot sun. It feels like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle.

It's a nice restaurant with a very nice garden to have dinner or a drink. It's not as crowded and packed as other places in old the old town of Rhodos. Staff is friendly, although a bit slow. Prices are fair, especially for the location. The food itself was good, but not that special. I'd recommend eating here just to have experienced dinner in such a unique location.

As other reviewers have said, Socrates Garden is an oasis of calmness and tranquility away from the tourist packed streets of Rhodes' Old Town. Thankfully, there wasn't a pushy waiter harassing passers by at the taverna's entrance. Joy! We deliberately avoided such places in our search for a lunchtime rest. The shaded interior offers a welcome respite from the sometimes intense heat, with the abundant foliage and gentle trickle of the water features adding to the serenity. There's a good choice of Greek dishes available, all at reasonable prices. The enticing cocktail menu may need further examination 😁. The staff were friendly, chatty and the service quick. My only criticism is our food was served without cutlery, napkins or additional condiments. Ok, not the end of the world: we still enjoyed our Club Sandwiches and beers. Socrates Garden is definitely earmarked for an evening visit before we move down to Lindos for 2nd week of our holiday.

Known secret place in between the shopping street. Beautiful location. Been there at day and evening. Polite and kind waitors. We didn't ate, we just relaxed and took some drinks and cappucchino.

Really friendly waiter .... Fantastic orange juice and melon with ham. Davis got beer. Beautiful and cool area. Go if you see it.

Really nice place for relaxing with some coffee/drink with Greek music in the background. It is all green, full of plants and service is good. I could have stay all dah there. Recommended!
