Cueva del Colom

Tourist attraction

People often mention cave, children, para, find, difficult, route,

It is difficult to get there if you do not have a map with other people's routes because there is no signage and the path is not so marked. When you arrive there seems to be nothing but it is behind a tree and the cave at first seems small but then you can still walk a little further, always with caution and warning about anything that may happen. I recommend comfortable shoes and flashlights

There is no signage and it is quite inaccessible. Either you come with someone who knows the area or with an external map or you will go crazy.

Difficult access, there are no trails or signs on the route. The road is full of stones and unevenness. Not suitable for very small children, much less a baby stroller. I do not recommend going if you have any type of injury that prevents you from walking well. The cave is beautiful, but people have damaged many stalactites and even made graffiti. Very sad to see how they have damaged the place.

The joy of wild adventure, unmanaged. Halfway up the mountain, the entrance is blocked by trees. The location on Google Maps is accurate, but the path to the cave is secluded and difficult to find. The highlighted point in my picture, at the start of the hill, is a house, facing the house, go around it to the right, on the left side of the back of the house you will find the path leading to the cave, note the yellow markers on the way and where you arrive , as for the cave, I think it is spectacular and worth taking older children to explore. Note that it is necessary to wear hiking shoes, long pants, and bring a flashlight.

I don't have much more to add to the rest of the reviews, both those with good scores and those with bad scores are right. It is a difficult place to find, not suitable for people with reduced mobility, small children, large dogs over 10 years old or with leg/hip problems. We went with our dog and he couldn't go down, so we went down in turns, since the entrance to the cave is steep and with a lot of loose stone. The path is not very well signposted, and there is no good connection, so Maps does not help you much. It's not a bad thing to see if you're in the area, but I don't recommend going on purpose to see the cave either, in fact I highly doubt we'll return. It is typical that once seen it is not worth a second time. Good footwear for the trail is important, and a flashlight if you want to see the cave well.

The cave is impressive, although visitors should respect it more, it is a shame to find rubbish and deterioration of the stalactites. It can be done with children, but not very small. Flashlight needed. You have to be very observant to find its access.

The cave is impressive and the route is pleasant, it is a shame that the cave is not cared for and in a better state of conservation, and that the route is not signposted, finding the cave is the luck of meeting people who come from it and guide .

Super cave, small but nice to see. Access to the cave entrance is not marked but is not difficult to find. The entrance to the cave is a little complicated depending on who you are. I went with two children of 4 and 5 years old and helping them a little to the end of the cave. I recommend bringing a flashlight, with the light of your cell phone it is difficult.

(Translated by Google) The route is fine. You have to walk between dirt roads and some piece of road. The cave is spectacular!! You can go with children. You have to go with appropriate shoes and clothing (you have to climb rocks and pass by brambles).

The images are deceiving, access is more complex than it seems. You have to be very careful. The access descent to the cave is quite steep and has fallen rocks. It's deeper than it seems. It's a shame that the Riba Roja City Council does not look after the preservation of the local natural heritage.

(Translated by Google) A very nice cave, although a bit short and the stalactites, as mentioned in other reviews, are broken. There was access to a 3m hole going down but it seemed very difficult to climb back up.

(Translated by Google) Magnificent route very close to Valencia. Suitable to do with children, very short for those initiated into hiking and caving, as it is a very simple and easy cave. It is necessary to bring a flashlight. Access to the cave is hidden, only accessible to the most astute and observers. You can enjoy a very native flowering of the area.

My visit to the Cova del Colom was an unforgettable experience. As a nature and adventure lover, this cave in the province of Castellón, Spain, provided me with a unique opportunity to explore the subterranean beauty of the region. From the moment I entered the cave, I was amazed by its mysterious atmosphere and impressive geological formations. The play of light and shadow along the stalactites and stalagmites created a truly mesmerizing visual spectacle. The Cova del Colom is a testament to the power of nature over millennia, sculpting these underground wonders. The experience of walking through its narrow galleries and discovering secret corners was exciting. Although the cave required a certain amount of physical stamina and agility, each step was rewarded with a sense of exploration and discovery. The guide who accompanied us offered valuable knowledge about the geological history of the cave and its importance in the region. One of the highlights of the visit was the underground lake that we found inside the cave. The tranquil atmosphere and the beauty of the calcite formations reflected in the water created an unforgettable scene. The Cova del Colom is a testament to the wonderful natural diversity that exists on Earth, and my visit here reminded me of the importance of preserving and protecting these underground treasures. In short, Cova del Colom is a magical destination that provides the opportunity to explore the beauty of the depths of the Earth and connect with the amazing geology of the region. It is an experience that I would recommend to any lover of nature and adventure.

impressive! Not so accessible by bike. Very interesting to find such a damp and beautiful cave! Just follow the direction of map, a bit climbing. Sort of steep the rocky path. The entrance is hidden. Go look for it!

(Translated by Google) You have to look closely since it is covered by a large tree and on top of it 🤔 well, it is good for people who like caves, large and somewhat deep, yes, go well prepared with footwear since it is very humid inside (Original) Hay que fijarse bien ya que está tapada por un gran árbol y sobre ella 🤔pues está bien para la gente que le gusta las cuevas ,gran dimensión y algo profunda eso sí ir bien preparado de calzado ya que está muy húmeda en el interior

(Translated by Google) Suitable to go with children too but unfortunately the state of some stalagmites and stalactites cut by unscrupulous people leaving evidence injured in thousands of years.
