What an amazing walk. Going from the car park and walking north, you come out of the forest and go straight into fields of sheep and cows. It’s stunningly beautiful and all so photogenic. We walked all the way around Stocks Reservoir on the 8 mile circular route which took us roughly 4 hours with photography breaks and lunch. The route consisted of forest at the start and then fields all the way till the end of the route, with about a mile and half left before getting back to this car park. This made for some fantastic angles for photos of the hills and reservoir. Highly recommend this, make a visit when possible.

Pretty forest paths for cycling and walking. The views into the forest floor from the paths were pretty and quite enchanting. Some parts of the path along the Gisburn Walk were extremely muddy and difficult to get around. There were also parts were the paths were very rocky and uneven. This is also a dark sky area. Torches will be needed to safely get around and I wouldn't recommend walking the paths in the dark.

Very large woodland, very pretty, parking is reasonably priced. There a free maps which show the walking and cycling trails but the walking routes are not very clearly marked and the map is not great. I would take a OS map and compass as it's easy to get turned around. No phone signal either. Lovely place though, peaceful.

Lovely walks through the ancient trees!! We even saw a few deers!!! Lovely 8 mile walk round the resivour! Parking cheap near the resivour but more expensive in the main car park! Easy and hard trails, maps in both car parks with colour coded maps.

Decent little trail centre. Good red, blue ideal for beginners. Hope line, Enduro line and Leap of Faith, off piste bits too. Gets busy earlier in the day, best arriving just on lunch time. Watch out for ebike warriors haha, cafe decent but WiFi intermittent so take cash too.

This place is ideal for biking lots of tracks to do, also great place for walking too. Watch those mountain bikers though! Ha Several car parks around, reasonably priced. Also a cafe at the main hub which was great for a post walk brew.

Astounding bike park. The trails are impeccably well maintained and take you to see some brilliant views. There's a good combination of single track, some technical sections, or if you simply want to roll around, the access roads are well kept too! I went in mid February after weeks of storms and heavy rain, the trails are built so well that there was barely any water on them. Everything had drained off perfectly. Absolutely passable even in the wettest weather. There's a cafe at the trailhead which serves food and drinks - much needed post ride. Prices are pretty reasonable to be fair. £2.50 for a cappuccino. They have some bike parking/storage outside, sadly you can't keep an eye on the bikes from the cafe. I decided mine was too expensive to risk leaving so put it back in the car. There's also a hose to give the bike a quick rinse - pretty essential given the Northwest's interesting weather choices. I'd recommend anyone in the area has a go. The classic 'The 8' is a must! I'm already planning my next visit this weekend! - PS. Parking is £3 for the whole day, or £1.50 for an hour. I wish there was a third option somewhere but heyho. It's quite an old parking machine so you'll need change with you. Non of this contactless magic!

Love Gisburn forest.. Look like you are in a fairytale!! So relaxing, the weather was amazing and inside the forest you breath so fresh air, birds, butterfly, amazing landscapes. The hub cafe is open till 4pm they accept only cash, so come prepared!! To rent a bike is 14£ a person approx. For a day out with family and dogs is perfect..!!

Beautiful forest well catered for young ones and experienced people alike. Well maintained trails that keep getting looked after and cater to all abilities, cafe and facilities are also great and welcome. The forest is quite a trek away from places and is elevated, I'd recommend taking extra layers unless it's the height of summer as you can feel the cold up there, also phone signal can be sketchy, but has improved.

What a lovely forest and landscape Gisburn has to offer, not only is the scenery just spectacular there's tons to do here, if you're into mountain biking or even just walking and exploring this place should be on your list! For mountain biking there's tons of trails available at all sorts of experience levels from beginner to intermediate, I would highly advise to wear a helmet as there are certain areas which have rough terrain but it's great fun and also a challenge too!

I've only done the red route so this review is only relevant to that section.....if you cant get to a good site in the lakes or Scotland and this is your only option....its poorly signed in places, the overall maintenance is poor and in some sections non existence, the top loop (18-26) isnt worth the effort, id recommend just doing the bottom loop twice to make it worth going. The car park is pay on exit and is reasonably priced, the area as massive potential, its just not being used which is a shame🤷

For cycling it is a best place ever. Long bendy quite demanding but fun tracks. For a walk it is an endless route in a virgin wilderness. Beware, there is no internet coverage in the forest so be carefull and dont get lost..

Beautiful forest - but gave three stars as very poorly marked for getting out into it all on a serious hike (Having a good OSMaps or similar app on your phone is a must) Is very much geared up for mountain bikers, and if that's your thing there are some incredible off-roading routes awaiting you!

Beautiful forest. Well worth it. Stunning pine trees for mils, plenty of trails to choose from and sooo many mushrooms to feast your eyes on! Many varieties to see here. Truly a wonderful place to go for a nice Sunday walk
