I cannot understand why this beach is not over populated like so many other Italian beaches. Just as beautiful as many others and much quieter. Lovely walk through the woods to get to the beach takes about 10 minutes. No cafes or shops which we liked. Lovely water.

Free admission and parking but they say the parking is closed at 5pm (actually once we came back at 6pm and it was still open). Great place for people looking for nature and peace.

Simply a paradise: the walk to arrive is about 30 min from the museum of Eraclea Minoa and offer a top down view on the coast and the white rocks downgrading to the sea as well as Platani river. The landscape is beautiful. Once arrived on the beach you will find the pleasure of an wild place with limited number of people and a water super clean and transparent. I wormy recommend to consider that there is no chance to buy food or water and the road to arrive is basically under the sun (no shadow)

Very nice and untouched beach. Only a few people. Cons: water can be quite rough and there is quite some trash.

Very beautiful place

The beach is quite far from the road, which is a plus for someone looking for an isolated place with not too many people. The beach itself is sand mixed with rocks of various dimensions along the entire length. This is a bit annoying, because walking on sand that has rocks under it will make you sink, and walking on the rocks themselves might sting your feet.

Love this site, as long as I'm away from the beginning of it. You have to go passed and over the white mountain. The Italian campers are awful and the beach is actually pretty gross. So is very much worth it for you to go passed that Italian mess.

Great for an afternoon walk. A small forest by a long sandy beach.

Very pleasant for a walk along the beach on through the dunes, but the vegetation is largely overgrown with invasive aliens (Australian Acacias), so rather sappointing as a Nature Reserve.

Foce del Fiume Platani is a wonderful natural reserve where you can choose different path in order to reach the beach. The sea is absolutely wonderful, we were not really lucky because when we went there, there were too many jellyfish in the fish, in fact some people were putting them out of water (i think it is forbidden). Anyway, there are no bar along the beaches, it is a wild place and this is also why i love it anyway. definitely highly recommended.
