Went to SC to see my son graduate from the army and we had a wonderful time. Just for the hell of it we searched for a Puerto Rican restaurant and we found this gem 2 miles away from Fort Jackson. Food was amazing, staff was super friendly and the atmosphere reminded me of some places in 🇵🇷 where I'm from. Don't think and just stop in and get some fantastic food. The menu is in English as well so for all of you non Spanish speaking people, please don't be afraid. Enjoy

Quaint, tasty, Puerto Rican restaurant! We had yucca fries, fried fish entree plate with yellow rice and stewed chicken entree plate with yellow rice. Big portions, flavorful food! We loved the green sauce!! This is a family restaurant, and service is whole-family affair! These folks are certainly proud of their heritage and super supportive of the US military.

This is an authentic Puerto Rican eatery. The food is amazing! The cilantro sauce paired well with the empanadas. The fried pork chop, pinto beans, and fried sweet plantains were very good.

Quaint little place with so much pride 💖‼️ We ordered so many authentic dishes that were freshly made & all delicious 😋I couldn’t stop eating 😂. Then to top it off we ordered to go dishes for the next day. This is now my new go to place for Spanish food.

This gem is one of Columbia’s best restaurants. Close in proximity to one of Fort Jackson’s gates. I love the roasted pork with beans and rice—with sweet plantains. Authentic Latin food. Personable staff.Clean.Exceptional food. Don’t pass up an opportunity to eat here.

A great little Puerto Rican restaurant. It is somewhat small inside, so if it's crowded, be ready to sit outside. Food was good, but not fantastic. Maybe it was just my dish, but I've had better. Plenty of parking, though not all on an actual marked parking lot. Handicap parking spots marked.

Food was delicious and staff was great! This little spot was perfect for a visit right outside of Fort Jackson military base. So many photo spots surround it. We had a great time!

Amazing food very authentic. Small place so get there early for seating or later time after lunch.

I had the Cuban sandwich with fries and my husband had the stewed chicken w/ yellow rice & sweet plantains. And tried a ground beef empanada. It was all delicious. We did wait for a while, but the lady serving us let us know it was just her working. After waiting 30 minutes it was just too warm inside to eat, so we asked for the food to go. The lady was very apologetic about everything and was doing her absolute best to cater to everyone on a very busy Saturday afternoon/evening. Over all, I had a good experience and the food alone is worth the rating. It's a must try for anyone. (And the meats were the most tender I've ever had!)

I was in South Carolina for a Graduation at Fort Jackson. We saw this little Beautiful Jem on the side of the road and had to stop!! Wow, it was Delicious!! Everything was Made to Order... Fresh and tasty and the portions were Big!! It felt like we were on the Island!! It was a wonderful experience and the Outside Environment was very Eye Catching!! Hope I make it back there 1 Day soon!!💙

Picture on the left is just one Flan. Right hand side is an alcapuria, that tasted sour. Not going here again. Portion of the food vs the cost is not worth it. 3 flans & 3 alcapurias total was 30.00 bucks. Absolutely outrages and the size of one flan, is a quarter of a round small one.

Food was good but the price was high for the portion. It's a kinda small plate for what you pay for. The workers are all super kind though.

I love it here . I felt like I was eating with family. There was so much life in this restaurant! The place is beautifully decorated and the walls are decorated with pictures of great legends of Puerto Rico. This is truly a gem of SC ! I didn’t even think South Carolina would have this much rich culture! I love it here and I love this spot . Thank you ❤️

The best empanadas I have ever had in my life. Drove all the way from California you most definitely can't get this there!!!

The food was NOT what I expected. I order a steak sandwich, a Cuban sandwich, and garlic chicken with white rice and beans. I am not sure about the type of steak they used, but it was strange. I had a lot of white rice and a few Pinto beans. $35.00 down the drain. The only thing I like was the Pinto beans which I wish I had more of. Last time!!

Brought back memories of being in Puerto Rico. Small place but super nice and staff/owners were amazing. Owner actually served in the military herself. We got a few quick things to eat like Alcapurrias de pernil, jueyes, and carne molida. We also had tostones and empanadilla de pernil y pollo. Nothing disappointed! Amazing and fresh. Next time in this area, we will definitely sit down for a meal.

Always seeing this restaurant whenever I'm on I-77S from work to the house, my girlfriend and I decided to try it for the first time a few weeks ago since we like to try not only local eateries, but also food from different cultures as well --- and we LOVED IT! You get plenty of food for your money, and very authentic! Their empanadas are a good size and filling, so don't make the mistake like I did and get two thinking they're sorta small. We will definitely order from there again in the future!!!
