December '23 update: disappointing customer service with young woman at cash. She ignored the lineup to serve people who walked in last. Paris Brest and eclair were dry and bland. Cassoulet $30 is excellent, however. Previous visits: Excellent everything. Cash only. Mostly for take out as there was no real seating. 2 outdoor tables in nicer weather. As good or better than most of the top French bakeries in Toronto. Hot chocolate and mocha espresso made with real chocolate ganache. Reasonable pricing for the high quality. I ate cannele, passionfruit tart, ham and cheese Danish, and ham and onion quiche. Consistent quality, flavour and texture.

I returned! I bought their brownies. Wow! Must try! They will knock your socks off! My favourite foods here: brownie, cinnamon danish, chocolate chip danish, sausage roll, and croissant. Tip: Eat Eric's danishes immediately. I picked up his chocolate Danish around 10 am and instantly ate part of it, and it was better fresh and slightly warm compared to when I ate the other half 30 minutes later. All of my items (4) came to $15. They are a cash only place. This business is closed Sunday through Tuesday. I am definitely coming back! Wow, what perfect pastry! You will feel and taste the difference in quality here! I would definitely have the sausage rolls and croissants again! Thank you to the customer that highly recommended them to me!

Everything from here is delicious! I've been a few times whenever I'm downtown and have cash with me! I'm no authority on European authenticity of baked goods, but I don't think that matters with how tasty and fresh the food always is. I've heard from other people this place is legit if that matters to you. I'm personally a fan of the croissants, and had the pleasure of having their red pepper and potato soup today (perfect for the cold weather!) Support local, indulge on some incredible pastries and breads without any regret!

Came here for a butter tart but they only had pecan bourbon which I’m not a fan of. I did love the chocolate tart with salter caramel. That was delicious. Service was very friendly.

Clearly a very skilled Baker. Quality of the baked goods is apparent. Every bite is an experience. Danishes, croissants, oh joy! Prices are reasonable. Wait time could be a bit long but worth every second. Take a picture of the schedule so you know when to show up for your favourite items. Been here twice so far and everything was delicious. Will definitely be back. If a 6th star was available this place would get it for sure. Update: ordered a cake for a birthday. Quite frankly the best mousse cake I've ever tasted. It was a hit. Such a hit that pics didn't happen until it was almost too late.

Checked out this bakery after hearing all the rave reviews and unfortunately did not live up to the hype for us both times we went. Fruit tart is supposed to be their stand out item, but it was packaged carelessly and the filling stuck to the top of the box. Taste wise was nothing special, very standard. We tried both the almond and regular croissant. Both were overcooked horrendously - they were crunchy, not flakey which was disappointing Sausage roll was decent but we felt there was too much filling compared to pastry, definitely not a problem we thought we would ever have but somehow found it here. The sausage filling flavour was good but it was a bit tough and dry. Definitely no where near as good as Fleetstreets’ sausage roll. Finally we tried the canelé, which was disappointingly soft. I was expecting a crunchy exterior but it was only crunchy on the bottom which tends to only happen when it’s a day old… The fact that it’s cash only is annoying in a post-COVID world as well and makes it easy for us to skip past this bakery in the future

Delicious authentic French-style bakery. Couple in front of me spoke French and the man at the cash had no trouble switching back and forth. Sausage rolls were so good! Also bought butter croissants and a pain au chocolat.

Came in this morning before they were open like a bull in a china shop after just missing my train, not realizing it was even open yet. Eric greeted me with a big smile and a ‘what can I do for you’. Only then I remembered, it’s cash only. No problem, he says - come back when you can, can I get you a croissant too? Eric, your Guelph folklore only continues to grow, sorry for bringing that chaos into your space and thank you for reshaping my morning. Next when I have cash… I will take you up on one of those delicious croissants. Cheers.
