I went to the fry for the first time. Their chickens were classic but the rose rice cakes and noodles were really tasty. I’d love to come back here only for that.

The server was very kind and patient! The food was definitely over-hyped. The chicken itself was good, and so was the cheese corn and fries, but the actual flavors on the chicken.....it was way over-sauced and the flavors were all very sugary. The spicy wasn't even close to spicy, it was just sweet. The pricing of everything was fine. I was annoyed you couldn't get a side of tteok-boki, it only came in large portions. The restaurant was freezing cold.

This was the first time visiting there, it won’t be the last 😊. When you place an order, they will provide the best complimentary foods ever!!! I would like to go there again just to have these items!!! Just kidding. Anyway talking about main dishes, I had original Korean fried chicken, that was delicious and perfect. Next time I am looking forward to ordering different flavours.

This is my second time going to the fry and honestly never get bored of their fried chicken especially the soy garlic flavor🤤 the corn with cheese is really creamy and goes well with the chicken. Highly recommend for chicken lovers 😊

Delicious fried chicken! So crispy, light and juicy. We ordered the half and half chicken combo #1 which comes with small fries and side dishes. Two flavors were original and a MUST GET soy garlic! It was enough for the three of us. Both servers were attentive and very kind. 10% off if you pay with cash

Large portions meant for sharing. The honey butter fries are tasty in small amounts, and the fries stay crispy over time! After too many of the honey butter fries, the powdered coating becomes overwhelming. The fried chicken is super tender and has a perfect coating. I recommend the garlic soy. It is less sweet than most of the sauces and flavours there.

We ordered some calamari, and a combo of wings and french fries. It took almost 1 hour for the order to come out, apparently there was a problem in the kitchen.

The food is delicious! The fried chicken seems to use the whole chicken but cooked perfectly and not dry at all. The fries had everything you would want, crispy, potato y, and flavorful. The spicy seafood soup had the right amount spiciness for me. I could definitely imagine warming up to a bowl of it on a more chilly day. The portions are pretty fair. The service was friendly and receptive. The only drawback for me was that it was a little dim and a little loud. It's just a vibe for a younger crowd, that's all.

Yummy yummy fish cake soup! The staffs here are friendly, usually check on us in case we need anything. I went to the restaurant in the weekday’s night so it was not busy. Good music good vibe for having a drink. Soy garlic chicken here is sooooooo good too. Cripsy tasty. It come with cheese corn. If you like spicy, gotta try their spicy sauce. I love it. Definitely will come back!

Every time I have a craving for fried chicken I come here! Love all the locations but this one does everything a little bit better. Got the sweet potato fries, and boneless green onion fried chicken. The butter corn is free!

I was heading to a popular fried chicken chain on Bloor. When I saw the Fry across the street, I get to try this Korean style fried chicken store. I wasnt disappointed. The ambient is like a bar and there are plenty of choices in the menu as long as you like chicken. Sure tasted better dinning in.

First and foremost, the welcoming was amazing. Then the hospitality, from seating to her warm reception. Ellen was the star 🌟 of the night. And compliments the Chef, the food was truly to die for. Flavourful, well balanced and food portions were awesome.

One of my best discoveries in Toronto. I am a new immigrant to Canada and was really desperate to have some hot spicy fried chicken. Coming across this place was a blessing. My partner and I are addicted! I've tried fried chicken in spicy sauce, Mala sauce and cheeselings. All of those were incredible. Rice cakes in Mala sauce was great too, super spicy and just what I was looking for! It's slightly expensive for a single person, but the quantity is perfect for two people to share. The girls working in the evening are great at what they do and I never flinch before tipping them. Hard to find good service in Toronto otherwise. They play ghetto music sometimes, and I'd prefer if they played Korean bangers at all times instead ;) but to each his own. Highly recommend.

Very good radio and nice atmosphere, only complaint is it is very dark inside at first but once your eyes adjust its better. We ordered the corn cheese, fries and Large half and half chicken. The corn cheese was very delicious with wonderful cheese pulls and honey. The fries were streaming hot and crispy, and the chicken is very good as-well. It’s nice that they include a bucket for bones and pickled radish appetizers :)

Food is good .. I love the green onion chicken and rice cake soup . Service is great .. The only thing we notice soon we get there the place very dark. And the music is Sooooo loud. We're screaming already while talking. We ask if we they lower the music but didn't lower it. Love the music but at least make it comfortable for the customer to be able to hear each other while enjoying the food.

plenty of open tables when we visited as a group of six on a friday night. menu is digital on a tablet and i liked that the options included pictures. didn’t have to wait too long for our food to come out and service was quick overall. ordered combo B, which comes with two chicken dishes (we chose the soy garlic and the supreme) and one rose tteokbokki, and added one appetizer, the corn with cheese. portions were good for our group, but we later ordered another rose tteokbokki because we liked it so much! (note: i have a low spice tolerance and the rose tteokbokki’s spice level was okay for me.) music and vibes overall were good. it was a bit loud and we were seated by the overhead speaker so we had to raise our voices to hear each other. would be happy to visit again and try their other chicken dishes!

They got the best chicken here! I 100% recommend the half half, supreme and galbi. So worth it with the amount u get

Enjoyed my time here. The chicken were great and clean dine in place. Would definitely go back with a bigger group. 👌🏻

Very delicious food. The chicken is superb, and the spices are immaculate. The radish is always a favorite part of the meal. The service was lovely, the staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful. They noticed I was trying to figure out a song, and they showed me which one it was. We really appreciated it. Overall, it was a very worthwhile time and the pricing was very fair for the amount of food you get. Easily made enough for two people. The staff really did make this experience one worth coming again for. Please tip the staff well.

Best spot in Toronto for Korean fried chicken!! Green onion chicken is my go-to: with perfectly balanced flavours the chicken is crispy, green onions are fresh, and the sauce is sweet. A great spot for date night or to come with a group of friends.

Amazing fried chicken! Crispy, fried to perfection! Great quantity! Bang for buck! Service was very slow.

I ordered set 2 (Rose teokpokki+half half chicken), and it was sooo good! It has large portions, and it was not overpriced. I went there with 2 people, and the set 2 that we ordered was quite a big quantity for us. You should try green onion chicken!!

Great Korean fried chicken but the garlic butter fries are to die for. It's pretty pricy but the portions are really large and delicious! Great place to order from as the food doesn't lose any sort of quality between the restaurant and your house. Definitely recommend trying with a friend or 2 :)

  • 5/5 A T. 2 years ago on Google
The food is so good. My friend and I had the soy chicken and cheese powder fries. The large chicken is way more than you need for 2 people so if it's a pair of you, get a small to share!

The closest fried chicken place like the ones I had in Korea. Great crispy chicken and sauce! I love their cheese powdered fries too!

This place is so good, and the atmosphere is perfect if you want a casual spot to eat with friends. The chicken itself is so good, but the portion sizes are definitely for sharing so keep that in mind.

Honestly I’m not a fan of fried and greasy food and fried chicken being one of them. This place actually changed my mind about eating fried chicken. It was so good! I had the chicken wings in sauce and the sauce was amazing. It was sweet and the chicken was crispy on the outside but the meat was soft and tender. Not dry at all. I also got some sweet potato fries and fried seaweed rolls. They were very delicious. If I wasn’t feeling nauseous I’ll definitely come back and order again with some beer. I highly recommend this place! Korean fried chicken is on a whole other level.

Best chicken & fries I’ve ever had! all the servings are filling! For example the fries we ordered (there is four of us) a small & it was super filling! also if you post a google review you get a free drink! The customer service is lovely as well and the food comes right off the grill! Highly recommend!!

5 stars mainly for the girl who opened the restaurant today, promptly at 3, and within minutes had poured our beers and was busy frying our chicken in the back. Fried chicken(had the soy/garlic and spicy), and sides of cabbage salad and pickled radish were very good. I’ll return.

The service was great and fast. We had a great time here experimenting with their menu on several occasions. We loved the combo 2 with a large chicken bucket, half traditional and half savoury recipe, with a huge dish of spicy rice cakes! Best of both worlds

One of the better locations of The Fry. Crispy chicken with doused in plenty of sauce, generous portions, and decent prices. The spicy chicken does have a kick, so if you can’t take too much heat go for the original. I actually prefer the bulgogi sauce over the garlic soy.

Very delicious chicken. Great for when you are waiting for a concert at Lee’s Palace as it is just around the corner. Probably meant for 2, but I was alone so that’s probably why it seemed a bit pricey, but it is Toronto and Korean Fried chicken is on the rise right now.

YUM! We got the Wednesday daily special. But be aware that you have to order one drink per person with the combo ($2.50-$3 for pop). Overall great fried chicken - the soy garlic flavour is a must have! 😍 I will admit that service was a little bit slow - but we were also practically the only table seated. So it wasn’t a big deal to us. Also 10% off with cash payment and $1 pop drink if you leave a review on Google (cannot combine this with the daily special requirements).

I ordered the savoury boneless wings and it was really good, sweet sauces and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also ordered some garlic fries on the side which was a perfect balance of savoury. Really great to share this much with. A bit pricey but would definitely come again.

  • 5/5 Karan T. 1 year ago on Google
Best fried chicken I’ve ever had! So soft and juicy - they’re very generous with their sauce and can customize if you want a spicier one. Loved their complimentary appetizers too!

  • 5/5 Harold P. 11 months ago on Google
Probably the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in the city! we got the combo 2 and the portions are huge! It was more than enough for 2 people. Chicken was so crispy and juicy. Staff were so nice and the vibes were great too. Definitely gonna come back often 🙏🏼

We could not tell what the pieces were. They had been cut randomly into indiscernible pieces. The plain version was very bland. Fries were great as was the Suporo on draft. The daikon pickles were good. Server was friendly and polite.

Decided to go to this fry location. The sauce was more heavy than its other locations. The chicken was tasty, but the sauce was too overwhelming.

Me and my boyfriend love the chicken here!! It tastes so good and it’s not dry like other places. Their side dishes are also delicious. I love the butter garlic fries 🤍 I think I will be back here many times later
