This was our first time visiting this location and we think that the food and the service weren’t as good as it is normally at the Lawrence Ave location. The service was very slow and a little erratic even though our waiter was very friendly and as diligent as he could. They had run out of several items, some of which were very basic, like bread, cocktail sauce, etc. However, it’s possible that due to the pandemic, they could’ve been understaffed and short on supplies. That said, we still think that for a seafood restaurant with its own seafood market, they should be offering much better portions of seafood. Also, even though the food was tasty, it wasn’t particularly memorable compared to other restaurants in the same category. Nonetheless, the oysters were definitely very fresh and delicious.

Was there tonight to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday, just the 2 of us. Food was good and service was sub par. Upon paying and tipping below standard our waitress confronted us on the below average tip, which I can understand and feel it is the responsibility of the restaurant to train their employees on exceptional customer service and servicing to attain a quality tip. I did explain my reasoning for the lower tip to the waitress. My tip was reflective of the service - 1 waitress for the entire restaurant during prime dinner time about 9 tables of which 3 tables were large groups of 6 or more. I ordered a $70 bottle of wine in which we had to fill our own glass throughout the night. Upon being seated, the waitress approached us and asked us what we wanted to order, no introductions, or effort to make introductions, intro/info on market specials and what it included. I’ve eaten at many $$$ restaurants and received more attentive service at a $$ restaurant. We also had to ask for containers to get rid of of the seafood shells, after having to play a balancing act of piling it on the side of our main plate. I was quite disappointed by the waitress confronting the tip that was left, based on sub par service the restaurant should expect with 1 waitress, left a sour taste in my mouth and it was obvious the waitress was not pleased with her tip. My tip was a reflection of the service and not to make up for the lack of training, staff or pay the restaurant may fail to provide. For a total bill of $255 before tax, I would expect attentive customer service at the minimum to provide a proper tip. As much as the food being good, I will not be returning to this location based on my experience.

Diana’s has a variety of fresh oysters, with some that are available for $1 on certain times/days (Lucky 88s and Malpeques, if they have any). Their food is good but on the pricey side (ex. pan seared scallops is $20 for 2 scallops) Not sure if their menu items are worth it but definitely come for the oysters!

Diana's Oyster Bar in Markham is my go-to for awesome, fresh oysters, especially when they're on a sweet deal. The oysters are the real deal – super tasty and worth every penny. But, gotta be honest, the other stuff on the menu is a bit hit or miss. Some good, some not-so-great, you know? The parking situation is solid, though. Plenty of spots, so you don't have to stress about finding a place for your ride. That's a big plus for making it a smooth trip. So, bottom line – if you're an oyster fan and dig a good deal, Diana's is your spot. Just don't expect every dish to be a winner, and you're golden.

Came for dinner and really enjoyed our meal. The food is super fresh and cooked very well. Favorites of the night included the steamed mussels, the crab cake and the seabass. The mussels were super fat and juicy. Prices are proportionate to the quality of the food. Portions were not too small either. Service was friendly and efficient. Would return for a special occasion.

Sat at the patio on a lovely sunny day. Server was very descriptive and helpful with the Oyster menu. The oyster recommendations were delicious and entrees were just as amazing!

I loved the wide assortment of oysters that was offered at this restaurant. The quality is certainly worth the price. My family and I had also ordered the paella which had a strong tomato aroma and fresh seafood. They really prioritize their ingredients and service!

We went for a family dinner, they had a special dish of the day that was really enjoyable, although a bit pricey, but it fed 4 people! Also they have such a great menu of meat, pasta and seafood, something for everyone! I had the mushroom and truffle oil pasta, sooooo delicious! A must try! I strongly suggest to go, no matter it’s date night or family gathering, it’s perfect for! Service and ambiance were great too, not too noisy, it’s lively!

Very nice. Not too many clients on a Friday night. Great deals if you are an oyster fan. Found the dishes are cooked to perfection. Boneless branzino means boneless! Desserts are also done right especially the chocolate lava cake. Recommend.

The food at this place is incredibly fresh; you can tell just by biting into the shrimp in the pilaf or swallowing an oyster. It offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it for gatherings with friends/family or romantic dates. The staff speak multiple languages and the environment is very welcoming. (Highly recommendation: Seafood Pilaf)

Diana’s Markham has been around for many years and quality of food and service were always consistent and excellent. We just visited few days ago, and everything were as expected. They have oyster special $24 for dozen providing you order a drink, great oyster deal as they were not the low cost malpeque, and they were so tasty we ordered 5 dozens (for 8 of us). We also ordered clam chowder, calamari, steamed mussels as appetizers, sea bass, salmon and lobster as mains. All were done right and we all had a great evening dinning here. Price is a bit steep but you get what you paid for. Highly recommended if you’re into seafood and oysters.

Came here on a Monday for the buck a shuck promotion in a group of 6. Head's up everyone at the table needs to get a drink in order to qualify for the promo. One type of oyster (PEI, east coast) was available for $1 each which we thought tasted fresh. Our table also got a fried calamari to start which was very tasty and tender but the small portion size caught us off guard. For entrees we ordered their specials for the day, halibut fish and chips and smoked salmon pasta which were both great. The fish and chips came with 2 large, thicc pieces of fish, seasoned fries and coleslaw. The pasta came in a good portion size but we thought could've used some more smoked salmon flavor and less oil... It was crazily drowning in oil. Service was great, especially considering our server was brand new. Keep up the good work! Dining room is also spacious and wheelchair accessible (altho please look into fixing the outer accessible door) will definitely return for another buck a shuck night when the craving hits.

Nice place, good food, very fresh and delicious oysters. Try Appetizer Platter, have everything you want. Only $1/each for oyster, go there on Monday, you can get 50% off for selected bottle wine. Really enjoy it.

Oysters taste delicious with with an exceptional high quality, buck a shuck is indeed an attractive deal and they really gave great oysters not those tiny ones. Grilled octopus was normal but the salad tasted great. Surf and turf was yummy as well, the steak could be cooked a bit more rare but still good, scallops were very fresh. Definitely would come back again.

Good service and nice server. They don't have fancy menu, but seafood is all about the freshness. I really don't like shrimp cocktail normally, but this is the first time I actually thought it was good. Grilled octopus was perfectly done. Sweet and juicy oyster. Pasta was delicious and fish tasted really fresh. The only thing wasn't too great was the lobster, maybe it was frozen? I do understand people commenting on presentation. It's not fancy yes. I won't come here for romantic dinner. It's more like Fisherman's fresh seafood type of restaurant. My family loved it.

Great place to hang out with friends, and I love their $1 oysters special! Great friendly service and the food is always good. This Grilled Octopus is a must tried starter, I usually ordered that for lunch along with a dozen oysters to share. Thank you for staying open during this difficult time!

Had a group of us from my firm come for lunch. Service was excellent and attentive. Very accommodating team. Friendly and courteous as always. Food was fresh and delicious. I had the fish stew and the flavors were spot on. Shrimp was nice and not mushy as some places are. All claims and mussels were open and none closed. No fishy smells and everything was fantastic. Melinda and her team are fantastic and are part of why I went in the first place.

The number one deciding factor of quality seafood is freshness, and Diana's delivers. All the dishes we had were satisfying. Loved their oysters (including oyster po'boy) and bouillabaisse. Haddock and fries on the kids menu was delicious too.

This is a decent place to get oysters, especially when there’s the dozen for $12 but you actually have to get a drink per person to get that deal. The other dishes are quite pricey but the shrimp cocktail was good. You have to call to make reservation which seems antiquated since every other restaurant has online booking systems.

Recently made a visit to Diana's Seafood and had an amazing experience. The service was fast and the staff were incredibly attentive, making sure that all of my needs were met. The food was simply delicious and exceeded all of my expectations. I especially enjoyed the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and had a delightful taste respective of where they came from. One of the highlights of my meal was the buck-an-shuck, which added an extra special touch to my dining experience. I was impressed by the quality of the food and the level of care that was taken in preparing each dish. Overall, my experience at the restaurant was wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The combination of fast, attentive service and delicious food makes for an unforgettable dining experience that I won't soon forget.

This place is my go-to for oysters, and the other dishes are also impressive. Highly recommend the tuna tartar, fried calamari, sea bass, and clam linguine. Cici, my server on multiple occasions, is super friendly and helfpul, especially when it comes to oysters. Trust her recommendations—they never disappoint

Amazing experience at Dianas for my birthday. The oyster selection and variety were very good. It was fresh and delicious, I'm partial to the large creamy ones! Staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drink options. They had a lobster special for $35 bucks, which we gladly had (potato salad side, random but tasty) plus an assortment of oysters and wine pairings. Im already looking into going back there when i come visit toronto again. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Food was great! We ordered grilled calamari, lobster roll, pasta of the day, clam chowder and everything was delicious. The servers were really chirpy and accommodating! Loved the experience and will be coming back for sure.

Very nice place, good service. Kids meals are only $10 each. The adult menu is a lot more expensive but the quality is good. Surf and turf is very epic. Oysters are very fresh.

My friends and I dined here for my friend's birthday and the waiters provided very good service and were quite patient. To start off; calamari and crab cakes for appetizers were cooked and seasoned very nice. My seabass was cooked perfect although the portions for the main dishes could be bigger with the exception of the steak which received few compliments by my friends. The oysters were good; fanny Bay, lucky lime, salty kiss, Arcadian gold. Pistachio cake and tiramisu were amazing for deserts! The ambience and vibe was definitely better than Scarborough location. I recommend this place for its fresh seafood and oysters!

We came here a group of 7 for dinner, all of us enjoyed the food here. The mussels are perfectly cooked and full of flavour (not mentioned a very generous portion), tried a new flavour this time - miso and coconut (thanks for Keith’s recommendation). High recommended this place if you are looking for some high quality seafood!

My favourite place for seafood. Best oysters around. Clam chowder is amazing. Chilean sea bass is the bomb.

Food and service good but portions are smaller now. We have had their lunches before and the portions were big but they have shrunk. (Their grilled calamari was good. We just forgot to take a photo.) Even though things shrank, we were full so I didn’t deduct a star. But was sitting on the fence cause not exactly good value. Food was delicious though.

This is a gem in the city. We tried many oysters and love “French kiss” the most. The Caesar and lava cake are also super good!

First time at this restaurant after it was recommended to me by a friend. Excellent service and seafood, especially the delicious oysters. The Waiter was attentive and provided great recommendations for oysters and main courses. Will be back soon!

Haven't been here for long time. It's surprise me with a buck of oyster that I don't expect it. The service is good. The food is amazing. Only thing that I take out a star is because the food are coming so slow.

Really wanted to like Diana's Oyster Bar but unfortunately it just didn't live up to my expectations. I'll preface this review with - we went for lunch on a Sunday so perhaps dinner offers a better experience. As a note, buck a shuck oysters are no longer a thing. Their current special is if each member in the party orders a drink (at least $4/person) then you can order a dozen oysters for $24 - not the greatest deal. Clam Chowder was an excellent starter. Lots of assorted seafood in the chowder and ordering a "small" size provided a rather generous portion. The oysters themselves were relatively fresh but almost a bit too brine-y with only three options for garnish - marinara which was very pasty, horseradish and a red wine vinegar. We also split a lobster roll which was too watery and had more mayo than lobster. Service was just ok. For the price, I think there are better options out there, but we were happy to give Diana's a try.

We had an amazing dinner last night for my mom's birthday. We originally had a reservation for 7pm but last minute had to call to change to 7:30pm. They were very accommodating to the last minute change and we were seated right away when we arrived. We have been to this location a few times before and due to the amazing service and food, my mom wanted to have her birthday dinner here. Highly recommend the Appetizer Platter, we get it every time! Although it says for two, it's the perfect platter to share amongst the 4 of us as we always get oysters to start too. They have a $1 Oyster Special (Buck-A-Shuck), but everyone needs to get a drink in order to get that deal - which was fine as we were going to get drinks anyways. We got 3 mains to share - Diana’s Seafood Pilaf, Lobster & Shrimp Tagliatelle and the Pink Peppercorn Crusted Ahi Tuna Steak with a Caesar salad. Everything was fresh and delicious! Overall, service and food was really good, as usual. I would definitely recommend making a reservation as it was full last night - with people waiting, on a Tuesday night.

We came here because I really wanted some oysters. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful in recommending dishes and drinks since it was our first visit. I would come back again to try many other dishes the restaurant has to offer.

Service was good, it did take a little long to get all the food but that's usually a good sign that it's being made to order. I got a lobster prawn pasta with a saffron cream sauce. It was amazing. The prawn was overcooked in my opinion and the portion was smaller than expected considering the price but overall i would order again and recommend to people.

Buck a shuck!!! Got our monies worth on that deal but also had to order some of our faves that weren't a buck but still enjoyed them just the same. Lobster was perfectly cooked, tender and sweet. Pasta was good filled with flavour. Surf and turf was ok but why order a steak at a seafood restaurant if you are looking for a really good steak? We also ordered the sampler platter for two which was a good variety however they ran out of octopus (which is actually my fave) and subbed with calamari. I found the portion size of the sampler platter wasn't much for what it cost.

First time dining in. I usual pick up oysters from their Scarborough locations to shuck at home. The service was decent. We were tended to immediately as we arrived and seated. Water and drinks were brought relatively quickly. Nothing special about service. The food was good. Seafood is definitely really fresh and that is what you are paying for. I ordered the oysters for the month of October. Server was honest and said the French kiss oysters tasted better than them. They know their seafood as she was 100 percent correct. The lobster and shrimp tagliatelle was amazing but the portion was tiny. Decent amount of shrimps but very little amount of lobster. For the experience, I would recommend visiting. I probably would not return as the portions were too small for me.

We came for a birthday lunch celebration and requested to sit on the patio. The wait staff were very accommodating and setup a 9 personal table for us complete with umbrellas for shade. Ross was our server and came around very often to make sure we were well taken care of. Everyone was very happy with their meals (and buck-a-shuck oysters), and they didn’t charge us a cake cutting fee (we brought our own cake). Ross can speak both English and Cantonese! He even got us a box for our leftover slice of cake. Great service! Would definitely recommend! 👍🏼👍🏼

Patio dining on the weekend was great. They accommodated our bigger party (not without some fuss) and sat us outside. The service was excellent. Our server, Ross, was amazing and super attentive. The food was pretty decent. They have buck-a-shuck all days of the week (only for Lucky 88 and malpeques). Oysters were fresh and delicious. The lobster and crab roll was ok. I was looking forward to more lobster meat but the bun was instead filled with tomatoes and lettuce. The clam chowder was excellent. Great place for a lunch overall.
