Absolutely recommend. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The prices are super fair, cheap for the city really...and portion sizes are so much more filling than you'd think The menu is authentic, the servers know the menu very well and helped us not over order since we wanted to try so much. The food was very filling! The dumplings are so much larger than I expected, the bread boat with cheese is mouth watering, I enjoyed the eggplant with walnut sauce but it is a cold app and the eggplant flavours really shine through, also tried the compote juice which was super tasty. I'll be back, make a reservation because it is busy, the servers are moving in fast forward to ensure quality experience for anyone coming through

I’d never had Georgian food before but my bf & I were in the beaches and noticed that this spot was packed and decided to check it out. We had the Chashushuli, cheese Khachapuri, traditional Khinkali, and the lamb kebab. All we did all night afterward was talk about how happy we were to have stumbled upon this restaurant and how great the food was. The bread was delectable, so fresh and fluffy, the stew was gorgeously spiced and fragrant, and the dumplings were the perfect texture & filled with delicious broth. We really enjoyed trying out a new cuisine! We spent about $100 between the two of us, including two beers. We definitely overate and could’ve ordered less since the portions were nice and big, but our eyes were hungrier than our stomachs and we wanted to try quite a few items on the menu. Our server was lovely as well and we enjoyed the warm atmosphere :)

This was my first experience tasting Georgian food and we had an incredible lunch. Great care goes into the preparation of this food and it shows. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to go back. The pickled vegetables, Georgian salad and Khachapuri are a must try! So many fresh, delicious flavours.

Can I give 6 stars? It’s not fair to call this spot a hidden gem; but I’m really happy with this find regardless. Located in the beaches on Queen St East, the location is obviously trendy. For appetizers we tried the Georgian Salad, Pkhali sampler and the chicken gizzards. Everything was amazing and delicious. It has a homemade feel but came with restaurant polish. As a veteran of Georgian food, I can attest that they do everything right here. For the mains we got the lamb bbq (chunks on skewers) - it was phenomenal. I forgot to take a lot of pictures, but I promise to update this review with more pictures once we go back.

Have dined here twice, both al fresco so I can’t say what the vibe is like inside. Did go in to use the washroom and it’s clean and well presented, simple. The food is excellent, I’m astounded that in a city like Toronto where they is an abundance of amazing food to have discovered new flavour profiles and delicious food. Simple, clean, so flavourful. Very good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Georgian restaurant in downtown Toronto, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. As a first-timer to Georgian cuisine, I was thoroughly impressed. The appetizers were a standout, particularly the eggplant dish, which was a delight. I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a refreshing cherry syrup, a perfect start to our meal, and a unique Georgian wine that was exceptionally tasteful. The warmth and friendliness of the staff added to the overall excellent experience. Each dish was not only delicious but also unique, showcasing the distinct flavors of Georgian cuisine. This restaurant has quickly become one of my top recommendations in Toronto for its outstanding food, cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned lover of Georgian cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

Great restaurant! First time trying Georgian cuisine, the staff were very friendly in giving us recommendations and explaining the dishes. Generous portions and delicious flavours. Recommended dishes: cheese bread boat, soup dumplings (traditional and lamb), any of the main dishes. The dessert Pelamushi can be hit or miss depending on personal preference, we did not enjoy the texture but the grape flavour was good.

I parked on Queen to go to the beach and noticed this place next to Buds coffee on a bustling area of the beaches. I heard great things about Georgian cuisine so I picked up an order of dumplings and it was a great experience. Really nice person served me the takeout and I got to learn a bit about Georgian cuisine while I was waiting. The dumplings were very unique and were similar to Bao soup dumplings. They were delicious I was only grabbing lunch but looking forward to coming back and giving the other items a try. I highly recommend.

This was my first time tasting Georgian food and wine and it was so good! We had a fantastic dinner as a group of 11 people. The food and wine were delicious, and the service was great. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area. If you like cheesy bread, you must try the penovani and khachapuri!

1st visit to this restaurant. Clean establishment with friendly and helpful staff. Stopped by for a quick bite and they offered several features items for brunch (11am-3pm). Our table got a cheese pie which was delicious - flakey pastry and cheesy filling just the right amount of saltiness. The other dish was a lamb sausage (?) in a wrap and that was served with two types of yummy fried potatoes (crispy fries & savory/garlicky wedges). Reasonably priced. Will likely return but maybe when the weather is warmer because the dining area can be quite chilly whenever the entrance opens. Since there’s nothing to block the cold air from coming in it was quite uncomfortable.

One of the best experiences of dining out! The atmosphere is very cozy. The place is not too big by itself but it's spacious and with the right number of tables so you dont feel jammed. The food is extremely delicious! Starting with bread and ending with meats! Everything is fresh and super tasty. Definitely great experience of Georgian cuisine!

If you are looking for a cozy and authentic place to enjoy delicious Georgian cuisine, look no further than Tiflisi restaurant. My family and I visited it recently and we were very impressed by the quality and taste of the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the desserts. We tried some of the vegetarian dishes, such as khachapuri with four different types cheese, badrijani (eggplant with walnut paste), and khinkali with vegitables. Everything was cooked to perfection, with balanced flavors and spices. The portions were generous and satisfying, and the presentation was appealing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke different languages and knew their menu very well. They gave us some recommendations and explained the ingredients and were able to find perfect vegeterian meals for us. They also checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. The decor was simple but elegant, with some Georgian elements and artworks. The walls were adorned with pictures of mountain views and a lot of traditional items, including wooden firetorch holders. My mother-in-law, who was born in Georgia, told us that the food and the restaurant atmosphere reminded her of her childhood memories. She was very delighted and thanked us for taking her there. We all agreed that it was one of the best dining experiences we ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food or wants to try something new and different. You will not regret it!

What a great little place! Wonderful service and excellent food. I strongly recommend you call ahead and make reservations. Note, you will need to pay a deposit for the reservation. I'm guessing the restaurant has had too many people not show up for their reservation and losing out on potential walk-in business. The food is super taste. They seem to use quite a bit of cilantro, and if you are not a fan of it, like myself, the servers were great with providing recommendations of things I might like or dislike. We were a group of eight, so we were able to order a variety of items. Some of the highlights for us were: • Penovani - Puff pastry with cheese inside • Georgian Bread • Traditional Style "Khinkali" - Soup dumplings with beef & pork (this is one of the items with cilantro in it) • Chkmeruli - Fried chicken covered in a cream sauce with garlic (goes great with rice or bread) • Mixed Plate with Pork - comes with tried potatoes, marinated vegetables and rice. The menu says the platter seats 4 but we all agreed that I could easily feed 6 of us. • Strawberry Kompot We had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

This was my first time trying Georgian food after being recommended it by friends, and discovering this restaurant on the Michelin guide. 🥖 Food: 1. Assorted Pkhali - Colourful veggie balls, served cold! My favorite was the beet one. 2. Imereti - Eggplant and bell pepper covered in a creamy walnut sauce. Also served cold! I was expecting a warm healthy dish, whereas this was surprisingly refreshing. 3. Georgian salad - Reminds me of a Greek salad but with a creamier, nutty dressing. 4. Khachapuri Acharuli - Bread with cheese, egg yolk, and a generous heap of butter. Very, very rich! It's as yummy as it sounds. 4. Georgian bread - Basically the same bread as the Khachapuri. So soft and tearable. Great for dipping. 4. Spinach Khinkali - Really enjoyed this dish! It's a bit messy since it's filled with soup. I found it easiest to hold it in my hand and slurp up the soup. Hot tip: If any soup spills on your plate, I recommend soaking it up with the Georgian bread! Goes well together. 🛎️ Service: Booked a reservation for 7pm on a random weekday. There weren't a ton of people when we first got there but it filled up quickly by 8pm. The servers were very attentive and the food came out super fast. Almost too fast! We barely touched the appetizers before the main dishes were coming out. Much prefer that to slow service though! Overall, I really enjoyed trying Georgian food and will pass along the recommendation to others!

This brought me back home. We love good Georgian food in Ukraine :) Each dish tasted just like my mom would make it! Shashlik was juicy and flavourful and potatoes are cooked to perfection with lots of garlic ;) you have to have everything with adjika! So happy I found this spot in Toronto!

Food: The beef stew is okay. Served piping hot. Beef is not super soft as you would expect, has to chew them and was a little dry but was okay. The flavors of tomato, onions and spices are there. I just wish they would add more beef onto this $18 dish as it only comes in (4) small morsels of beef.🤦🏽‍♀️ My partner liked the Saocari the fried eggplant. But it didn’t feel like fried. It was probably grilled? Didn’t have the texture of it being fried but it tasted okay, was a little bland, the cream insides was stuffed into it. Chef’s plate was baked overflowing with cheese when you get down into the bottom of the dish it barely got any meat. It came into small pieces of beef for a $ 20 dish. I would have expected more meats at least. Taste is okay, texture is not there but its not bad but it didn’t surpass my palate I wouldn’t mind paying more for food that surpasses my palate but it didn’t. And the meat pieces are extremely minuscule to the portion of the dish. Street parking.

The food is really tasty 👌. The service is good, but the waitress made a mistake in our order and didn't say sorry. Our friend got his food late, and she didn't apologize 😔. Overall, the food is very tasty, and it's Georgian cuisine

It was my first time trying Georgian food and I was quite impressed. It is a bit of a shame as I couldn't eat most of the dishes due to a diet I was trying. But every bite I had was still quite tasty. Flavours are definitely interesting, and different, service was comforting and helpful, and the atmosphere felt very warm. Overall, it was a tasty bite and I would try again.

First time trying Georgian food and it was delicious! The food was extremely flavourful and filled with many aromatic spices and satisfying textures. I ordered the Chef’s “Acharuli” Kachapuri which was delicious, and I also tasted the duck stew and one of the soups. Everything was great. Even the bread was freshly baked and straight out of the oven. Aside from the food, the place is very modern and clean and the servers are very nice. This is definitely a great place to experience Georgian food for the first time!

What an absolutely wonderful experience! Why didn't I come sooner? The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and assuming, with very pleasant decor. Our server was terrific and extremely helpful and courteous. The aromas and flavours of our dishes were inviting, and the dishes were so satisfying. I recommend this spot, and I look forward to coming back!

The place was nice and cozy and a bit busy during dinner. It's best if you'll make reservations just to make sure you secure a seat without time limit. We called in the morning asking if they were open and to make a reservation for 2 but the person on the phone told us that there is no need to make reservation. So we went to this place as walk in customers but they told us that the table should be vacated in 40 min. because all tables were already reserved i guess, So we agreed as we travelled hours just to try this restaurant. Food we ordered were all great I just hope that the khinkali had more soup in it. I really loved their eggplant roll, it was creamy and very addictive. So if you crave for a georgian food this is the place.

Ordered for takeout today. Waited about five minutes in the quaint dining room while they got the food ready. The staff were courteous and helpful. The diners all seemed so happy. The aromas were making my mouth water. The food did not disappoint. The khinkhali and khachapuri were excellent. Lovely flavours! Can’t wait to go back and dine in person. A bit pricey but worth it.

If you want to experience authentic Georgian cuisine or immerse yourself in memories of the country, this is the place to be. My husband and I visited Georgia several years ago, and when we discovered this spot, we were delighted. The food is incredibly delicious, evoking memories of that beautiful and vibrant country. Thanks to the staff. The only challenge is high demand, so it's advisable to call and reserve a table in advance. We've had instances when we couldn't get in. Wishing the restaurant expansion so that more people can enjoy these dishes.

Hey! Today, my friends and I decided to visit this restaurant of Georgian cuisine! Impressions of dishes, atmosphere and service 10/10! The waiter was polite and pleasant, which is a big plus! In the menu you can see photos of dishes, which is very convenient and easy to choose food to your taste! Traditional khinkali turned out to be hotter than the spicy khinkali that was on the menu. Due to the slightly higher than usual prices, $20 for 5 pieces of khinkali on the menu. In the end, it cost us $230 for four people. You can see everything we ordered in the photo below. But this is a great option if you want to go here on a date or try something new with your friend. Many thanks to the employees for their friendliness and care! Will definitely come back here again!

Absolutely Delicious! Went for some late night eats and was very impressed with the authenticity of the dishes and the quality of the food and ingredients. Each dish was very tasty and well seasoned. The staff were lovely and the patio is dog friendly! It’s great for sharing between 2 or 4 people since each dish comes with enough for at least a few bites each when splitting 2 ways. I would highly recommend giving this place a try and see if you can test a few things on the menu as there’s quite a bit of variety between the cold and hot appetizers as well as the mains and the breads. Need to try the cheese bread next time!!

  • 5/5 Ali S. 2 years ago on Google
The cheese pastry (Khachapuri) is the best thing you will ever have that involves cheese and bread. Only downside is that it would cost you $20 and around 30 mins wait!

  • 5/5 Mandi G. 2 years ago on Google
This food is absolutely delicious! We’re vegetarian and there are lots of options. The cheese bread is a knock out. Must try. We also had several appetizers with a mix of vegetables and walnuts and lovely herbs and garlic. The borscht is also vegetarian and excellent. We will be regulars!

Really enjoyed this dinner out, the bread was amazing, the appetizers were so good, the beef stew was amazing and cheesy, I didn't get pictures of everything we ate, but there was a lot of sharing going on! And a lot of CHEESE! We will be back for sure.

Georgian food is probably one of the world's most underrated and under-appreciated cuisine in Toronto. It has distinct flavours comparable to Greece and the Mediterranean as well as influences from Turkey and Persia. Toronto doesn't have a lot of Georgian restaurants so we're happy that we can at least try Georgian comfort foods at Restaurant Tiflisi. If there's one dish that you should try here - it's gotta be their Khinkali. Think of Khinkali as a comparison to a Chinese Xia Long Bao. The main difference being is that Khinkali is boiled while Xia Long Bao is steamed. Khinkali's dough is also much thicker which is similar to a Turkish Manti. Ordered Tiflisi's Traditional Style Khinkali and it was the real deal. The ground beef/pork filling was well seasoned and encased in a light and fluffy dough. It was pure heaven biting into one of these dumplings with delicious juices flowing into your mouth. Kachapuri Acharuli is another favorite here. It's a Georgian cheese boat bread with egg yolk in the middle. Buttery, cheesy and doughy, this cheese-filled bread ticks just about every comfort food box there is. Tiflisi is also a meat lover's paradise as their main dish menu is a plethora of meat and potatoes ranging from barbecue to stews. Their Chicken Shashlik and Beef/Pork Georgian Style Kebabs tasted juicy, moist and flavourful. Authentic comfort Georgian food, Tiflisi also now carries the Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction which is awarded to restaurants that offer multi-course meals at reasonable prices. An award that is well-deserved indeed!

Such a great experience trying Georgian food! We tried the assorted pkhali, I definitely recommend that with Georgian bread. They are dips but thicker, very interesting, beetroot and leek were my favorite. The soup dumplings were great, but I absolutely looked the beans with corn bread so simple yet so well seasoned. It’s a grey experience. It’s a small place so you may not alway finds seating, we called before reaching and that was a good idea. Good service, definitely worth a visit.

Best Georgian Food place in Toronto IMO. Amazing ambience and interiors, almost feels like you are in Georgia. Polite staff. Try their drinks right from Georgia, the Sodas I mean, we tried Georgian Lemonade Tarragon and peach, I would recommend the peach not the tarragon it's too sweet. Try their cheese pizzas and meat pizzas, by that I mean the Original Cheese Kachapuri called Acharuli Kachapuri and the Kalakuri Kachapuri. Try their dumplaings if you have any space left which is highly unlikely. Their dumplings are really huge and always check some youtube videos on how to eat Georgian dumplings called Khinkali. We went 1 hour before closing on Wednesday and it was almost empty. In case it helps.

The food is good. Tasty Georgian cuisine. The restaurant experience is not that good. Server ladies were repeatedly addressing us in russian or Bulgarian, as Ukrainian myself I had a hard time understanding what they were trying to say. It was unethical. Also we were served Khinkali on a plastic plate. There was a gentleman server who saved the day, so 4/5 just for his professional attitude to the guests and tasty food!

Visited this restaurant in August 2023. The interior design was amazing. Staff were friendly but seemed a little short-staffed with delayed responses. Ordered Khinkali, badrijani, and Chakapuli. All were cooked professionally. It was an amazing experience and recommended all to visit this restaurant.

Such a great restaurant! It was my first time trying Georgian food and it did not disappoint. The kachapuri, khinkali and beef and lamb stews, and fried chicken were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful with navigating the cuisine options. Will definitely return!

This is the best Georgian food I've had in North America. I'm not sure how the chef created such a homemade taste in the meat and the broth, but I felt I was back in Russia or Georgia. Staff is so pleasant, service was great. As I write this my mouth is watering for more. This is a must try while in Toronto, get the Khinkali, turn it upside down, grip it from the twisted base, take a small bite, then sip out the broth (it's hot, be careful) then start to bite into the meat and eat the rest. You don't have to eat the twisted thing your holding if you don't want to. Staff speaks English and Russian fluently, have a great experience.

We had dinner here during the evening. I'm assuming it's because it's peak time, the servers weren't as attentive as I thought they would be. The environment and ambience generally met what I expected for a 4.7-sar Georgian restaurant. Washroom was clean. No wifi. Here're my 2-cents on the dishes that we ordered: Assorted Pkhali: leek and beet ones are tasty, rest are average but go well with the bread; Khachapuri "Acharuli": the pizza has right amount of cheese but everything else about it is just average; Chashushuli: the beef stew is done ok, goes very well with the bread; Chakapuli: the lamb stew is executed poorly - the lamb was overcooked and the grape leaves doesn't go add much of anything to the stew. Maybe it's just me, but the flavour profile doesn't fit.

Literally the best place! Awesome food and pretty good service. One little thing to note is the chill that you feel every time someone opens the entrance door (in winter). Otherwise, 100% recommend

I've been told it's the best Georgian restaurant in Toronto by a Georgian. Surely that means something! Great food, I've quickly made my way through half of the dishes on the menu by now, dine-in and take out. Keep coming back for khachapuri Acharuli or Kalakuri, and Odjakhuri for a main.

Highly recommend to visit and try different options from menu, cause everything what I tasted here was sooooo delicious
