This place has rustic cabins and wood stoves set on a lake full of trout and lots of mountain scenery. There is no phone service which is bonus for me. Just sit back and enjoy the peaceful views. They have boat and fishing rod rentals and in the winter ice augers. Each cabin has its own private out house or a short walk to the washroom and showers. You have to do dishes at the dish pit on the side of the shower house. They supply dishes, pots, pans and utensils. There is a fridge, propane stove and electric coffee pot. Bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. Enjoy your stay.

Our group didn't catch much fish but what we did catch was a decent size 3-4 pound trout. The resort was beautiful. Great sunsets and the cabins were warm and clean. There is WiFi available and a small store on site with friendly staff. Nice stay.

Nice clean cabins with wood burning stoves for heat, Wood was free. No sink but they have a wash house, if your not into it bring paper plates and plastic utensils but I found it a part of the experience. The fish are a bit harder to catch but there all lunkers. 2 pound average easy. Showers are free and there's a small play structure for the young ones

Excellent lake to fish. Before you go check the internet to find out if there was a large fish kill over winter first. If there wasn't go! If there was find another lake

Great fishing lake. Cabins are nice and quaint, and there is good access to amenities. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Have stayed here numerous times and will continue to in the future. I'm glad to see it survived the fire!

I would love to give this a higher rating, but I can't. The staff were nice the view was lovely. We stayed in one of there campsites. My issue is we were just jammed in like sardines and no trees. Zero privacy.

Tunkwa lake resort is a great place to come for a quiet trip to a well stocked lake. Richard and his team handle everything you could need and usually have some decent tips for fishing the lake boats are available to rent if you need and there is a wash house with showers. Each rustic cabin has its own designated outhouse. There is a small playground for the kids and lots of area to explore. If your planning your next family or solo vacation Tunkwa Lake Resort is a great place to check out.
