What can I say, whilst visiting Rimini we felt like a bit of a British dining experience and found the Rose and Crown which claims to be the first British pub in Italy. First impressions, the decor and signage etc felt like we were walking into something quite authentic. Then we sat down and got the menu which to my dismay was missing the fish and chips. So I asked the waiter, who responded by saying they had removed it as it was difficult to get fresh fish! Really? We sat no more than a few hundred metres from the sea!? But anyway, we decided to look through the menu for an alternative. For a British pub, it felt awfully Italian, with a few basic dishes that you could say were a bit British but not the kind of menu you would find back home in any pub. I also observed and heard the Italian guests ordering anti-pasti and lasagne. Anyway, no I wanted something a bit more British, so I opted for the chilli and rice. Which arrived quite quickly, the plate of rice with a small spoon of chilli on top for 14 Euros! It wasn't even made like chilli we are used to back home. No mince, no kidney beans! As a chef, I know it is possible to make chilli in this way with steak and refried beans but it just ain't very British and the tight portion size left me really disappointed. So my suggestion is, when in Rimini, eat like the Italians and find a nice Italian restaurant which doesn't pretend to be something it isn't!

The place is done as a pub, with live music and very nice staff. Food is good, however their bruschetta looks better in the picture vs actual. Salads are good. Overall - food place for a beer and a snack. No coperta charge

A nice British Pub very close to the beach. The owner is English. They have a good selection of beers especially if you like the German variety. Open since 1964. It has a lovely deck facing the promenade.

Such a wonderful relaxing experience. Beach front Rimini, a piece of British Pub life. Pub food, Italian and British style. Nice presentation. Staff all friendly and happy. Pam, the Best, made us laugh and feel at home. Thanks Richard...one for the road. Add to your bucket list.

Have visited several times in the few days spent in Rimini. Nice spot, with live music, hood food and drinks. Fairly priced as well!

Pricey American style pub grub. Don't come for the food as it's just ok. The burger tasted good but was tiny for the price. The fries were decent. The half roast chicken was a better deal though the side salad was more like garnish than a proper salad. It's a big big place with not many servers so hailing down someone to take your order or refill your drink is difficult. They do have "live" music though which adds a bit but on the night we went it was a band singing along to tracks. So kind of like karaoke but with a band and if the track actually had the vocals on too. Still. The patio is right on the boardwalk so it's a lovely spot for a pint.

It's a lovely place. This is the first pub established in Italy in 1964. I love Guinness beer and here you can find several beers, from lager to red ones. Food is very nice, my husband had fish and chips and it was very good. I knew Federica, our waitress, and she was so friendly and amazing. I came back twice for her and Guinness beer. Every night you can enjoy bands who play live music. I think people as Federica make the difference between places and usually I return where workers have something to transmit to you.

I wanted to visit Rose&Crown for a second time before writing the review. First time I went with the whole family and Tonight we were just 2. Located excellently by the beach, this resto/bar offers a delightful dining experience with a touch of Irish charm. Juicy hamburgers, piadinas, perfect cooked pasta dishes at a reasonable price and a drink selection that includes a variety of international beers. Live music with “rock&rock” covers adds to the vibrant atmosphere, making it a memorable night out. With its fantastic location, tasty food, diverse drinks, and lively entertainment, this Irish pub is a must-visit spot for your days in Rimini.

The place is beautiful. They say it's an English bar, but our waiter didn't know anything in English. When I asked if the Shish Kebab was made from chicken, he didn't know how to answer me in English and in the end I found out that it was made from pork 🤦‍♀️😔

We had a very good time here. After all the years that we heard the iconic advertisements on Viserbella beach we wanted to check out this place. Opened over 50 years ago, this is the first Irish pub in Italy and it is still going strong. With live music on every evening and a yearly mini festival, the people behind the pub are actively building a special and lasting atmosphere around this pub. While the pub itself is quite huge and the vibe might not exactly what you expect from a typical pub, it ensures that even larger groups can easily find a table outside and inside the premises. The great band on that evening made more than up for the missing vibe. Fair pricing for various Irish and international food and drinks. The cocktails, cider and especially the Black Velvet were great and refreshing and the various burgers looked mouth watering, so we'll surely come back for more!

Ok bar. Not in any way "British" - most of the beers were German lager. (Certainly not like a "Wetherspoons" as another correspondent has suggested.) Just a regular Italian bar doing meals for families. Service and lager ok - though pricey. Great to talk to the old guy who runs it though , who ran a pub in Covent Garden and sets up festivals worth old British rock bands.

Great atmosphere although the meal I had wasn't the best in Rimini I'm sure the other foods probably really good And the atmosphere is as good as the bounty which is not that far away..

Nice staff, buf below average food for high prices. Also the beer was more expensive than anywhere I've been in Italy.

Good basic food and very good service. Usually avoid a British pub on holiday but I made an exception with this one! Pleased I did

Good selection of beers. Live music contributes to a nice atmosphere, but if bothered there are many tables outside. Especially love the two dartboards, which are also provided with digital scoreboards.

Really slow service. Missed one of our drinks and then when we ordered another with some fries it just never came. Shane. Nice pub but better in Rimini. Manager tried to sort it but still not great when your charges for food that never came.
