Passed here for three times when I was in Rimini. I do love this Arch because of its elegance and long history.

The oldest surviving Roman arch in Italy. Although it looks like it was pieced back together, it's still impressive. Definitely one of the top sights in Rimini.

Wasn't expecting much, but got surprised. Lucky for me! On a day-trip, on the way back from San Marino, stopped from the bus on stop before the last one to check this monument. It's worth it, and doable to walk around town back to the train station, as you can check also the Roman Theatre and some other monuments.

Amazing to think the amount of people who have passed through here and the history it has stood through. And to think in England these days we can't even build a house that can last 30 years with falling apart. ๐Ÿคฃ

Over 2000 years old remains of the main entrance to the roman town Ariminum, the preeecessor of todays Rimini. Not much is left of it, obviously, but at least it has been preserved in a quite good shape, with the city wall long gone. There is an info point with a few, but too few information about Ariminum, but much more could be added here, especially as that town was one of the Roman Empires more important towns in Italy.

It's a spectacular Roman arch (built 27BC) but it's been ravaged by time and wars. The way it stands now on its own, makes me wonder how much more impressive it must have been in its original state attached to walls surrounding the city.

Old city entrance gate - a historical marker of Rimini, which today serves to tell the story and to be visited by tourists.

We did a Tour here at night and it looked very pretty with all the lights but we came back the next day and while it was still a nice city there didn't seem to be much to do

An ancient Roman arch, very well preserved. The other end of the road across the centre of the city is an ancient Roman bridge.

I really like the look of the arch. It seems full of stories. I wish I could have chance to know more about it. Right at the entrance of the city center.
