😠 This ER is a joke! I took my 63 year old mom there yesterday because she fell off a stool and hurt her back. She was crying, shaking, and visibly in excruciating pain. When we got there I told them she was a diabetic and her sugar needed to be checked. There were 4 people in the waiting room before... People often mention care, staff, nurse, doctor, hospital, time, room, brother, hours, nurses,

This ER is a joke! I took my 63 year old mom there yesterday because she fell off a stool and hurt her back. She was crying, shaking, and visibly in excruciating pain. When we got there I told them she was a diabetic and her sugar needed to be checked. There were 4 people in the waiting room before us. 2 hours went by and she still hadn't been tended to. People came and went who had gotten there after us who were clearly not in pain like she was. She couldn't even walk. They finally took her back and put her in a hallway. They told me I couldn't go back with her because she was in the hall but could go back when she was in a room. I don't know why she was never put into a room. 3 hours had gone by and still hadn't had her blood sugar checked. After another 2 hours, they finally took her back to get X-rays because x-ray hadn't seen her orders so they had to resend them. She's DIABETIC, insulin dependant, she needs water or snacks but they didn't even give her that because they had to wait for the scan. They gave her pain meds, but they left her sitting in the hallway, crying in pain, in a wheelchair, by herself for over 3 hours! I asked if I could go back and check on her myself and they said no. She said there was nobody back where she was at, so why couldn't I be with her?? They were letting other people back with their loved ones, but not me. When she needed something she had to call out for someone or try to wave someone down when they walked by. She called me upset because she had to use the restroom and there was nobody where she was at to open the restrooms. They were locked! The snarky triage nurse up front told me "well she has a call button, she can call for help" She did not have access to a call button because again, she was in the hallway BY HERSELF and didn't have a call button. She was ignored, I was brushed off when trying to get her help. This is completely unacceptable! You can't treat people this way. We were never rude to the staff, we didn't go in being disrespectful, and they were terrible to us! You're supposed to help people and be compassionate. We were treated terribly here! Never coming to this ER again.

The only reason I’m giving two stars is because my husband’s nurse was compassionate and kind to him. My husband arrived at 10pm to the ER with a high grade fever that has been constant for 5+ days and an excruciating headache. It took about 6 hours to make it through the lobby. We’ve been here for 14+ hours now and haven’t been visited by the doctor for the last 6 hours. His fever is rising, his spo2 dips into the low 80’s, and his heart rate spikes to 180+ while laying in bed. At no point during vital monitors going off did a nurse check on him. After hitting the “help” button on his bed, no one comes. Thank god he’s not here alone because I can only get him help by finding someone in the hallway and telling them that his monitors are going off. Even then, no one comes by for 20 minutes. His IV fluids ran out and an alert went off for that. After flagging down staff, a rude paramedic came in, threw it away, and didn’t replace it. She was very abrasive to us when we asked if they had received any test results, and asked if the doctor would be by anytime soon. She seemed annoyed by the most basic questions. Despite being sleep deprived, scared for his health, and emotionally drained from stress and illness, we were in no way being impolite or demanding with our two simple questions. I think someone doing their job as a paramedic should be able to show the same respect to a patient who is concerned about their health. Luckily the compassionate nurse came by after this. She said he was supposed to be on constant IV fluids and asked if the rude nurse was bringing a replacement. She wasn’t. We asked her the same questions as the paramedic, and she gave us some info on his test results and expected wait time for a doctor visit. This has been a difficult time for my spouse and it’s very hard to feel like he is forgotten about in the ER.

This is a review for Rust ER. Be prepared to sit and wait for a big chunk of your time. My husband and I have been at this ER facility a couple of times and waited a minimum of 6 hrs to be taken care of. The first time we walked out after 6 hrs of sitting in pain in a full room hoping to be treated (never happened). The second time was for my elderly mother on a Sunday. Took 7.5 hrs from the time we walked through the front door of the ER to the time we left. Most of those hours were spent waiting. If you have other options for your health care, opt for those instead. Do not recommend.

I did not want to come to Rust hospital, last time I was here, such a bad experience with Dr's, it was terrible. I've been here 5 days now, leave in a couple. Drs I have now, are listening and providing for my health. The staff is responsible, but forgetful. House cleaning is terrible, in the 5 days the female house cleaner came one. She did ask me if anyone else stopped in to clean. I told her know. I know it's a busy place. But the whole reason staff is here, is because of the patients, and providing for them. Not forgetting them.

I am so disappointed at the ER here and it use to be better. I came in (while pregnant) because I was having contractions and severe bleeding. They had me wait in the ER lobby (clearly in pain) and I even had my mom tell them a second time how it was getting worse. Sat there for about an hour and delivered my dead baby in the ER lobby. It wasn't until that happened then they decided to take me back to start an IV just in case I need a blood transfusion (which I got poked 4 times before they got it). There was no sense of urgency on their end for the fact I was pregnant and severely bleeding. They're going to start having lawsuits on hand for negligence if they don't start cleaning house of the inconsiderate and incompetent workers.

Unless you like to be belittled by your night-nursing staff, don't go here! I was recently admitted to this hospital after suffering serious complications from my first time contracting covid. I was admitted with both pneumonia and blood clots in my lungs. Keeping in mind that I had never had either before. When I started throwing up the blood clots, I called for the nurse. She then proceeded to belittle me because it "wasn't a whole lot" of blood. She then called in a colleague to show the "large amount of blood" I had just thrown up. This obviously didn't make me feel any better at the time. Even after notifying the daytime nursing staff of her actions, nothing ever happened. Nobody came in to speak to me about this occurrence or anything. Unless I am not in my own mind and have no choice to make myself, I will never set foot in this hospital again. I look forward to hearing from the hospital to talk about this (I even took a picture of the board to make sure I didn't mistake the nurse's name, but I won't hold my breath about that.

This review is directly for Marissa the nurse in the emergency department triage. It’s 8:05 pm on 7/25/2023. She was so rude and with a terrible attitude. When you come to the emergency room wheeling your Dad in and you’re concerned the last thing you want the triage nurse to be is to be the most unhelpful person in the department and on top of being unhelpful just rude, unfriendly. If I could give 0 stars for her patient care, I would. For a nurse to have a major attitude with patients who are coming in because we obviously need attention and care, that’s a serious issue. She needs to learn what patient care is, because either she has no clue or she doesn’t care. With all that being said, I would like to thank Bonnie she was so helpful and kind with us and every interaction we had with her was a pleasure. She checked in on us and asked if there was anything she could do to help. Bonnie would serve as an example to Marissa as how to treat patients. No one is asking for a red carpet but basic patient care and respect goes a long way, clearly Marissa is lacking all these values. It’s obvious Marissa is not happy in her current position and she has better things to do than to be a pleasant person to be around.

Wow! Just amazing workers here at RUST! From emergency room, to greeters, awesome nurse "Tria" and cafeteria staff! My mom has been taken care of so gently here. I really gotta say dining staff members Haywood, Veronica and Ismael make you feel welcomed and with their kindness and patience. I feel they go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Good job you guys keep up the great job!

Based on these reviews I wonder how I got out of this hospital alive, but I did, and I received some of the best service in the process. Dr. Ismail was helpful with informing me of what was happening. Every nurse I had was friendly and attentive. The kitchen staff was nice enough to provide me with food when it was before or after serving hours. I will say, I went by ambulance, which might have made a difference, but the customer service remained stellar while I was there. My only complaint was a nurse that was a bit condensing at times, but still did her best to keep me comfortable.

Their staff is the most unfriendly, rude staff of any medical facility I've have ever attended. The security guard was rude to everyone that walked in until I said I'm making a complaint then low and behold he was nice to the person after that but you can tell that this was a regular thing and it just continued from there on. I understand they're probably overworked but people are there not to be treated with disrespect.

The nursing staff was amazing. The trouble started with the case manager(s). They did not work with the family on choosing a rehab facility. They instead, allowed a very sick woman choose a substandard facility because "I want to see the balloons". She was not in any condition to make that choice. We tried repeatedly to change the rehab but were blatantly ignored. They sent her to a rehab where she was not fed or changed for hours. She's diabetic and unable to walk. Also being treated for sepsis. I finally had to call adult protective services for help.

I was comparing Google reviews to other hospitals in Albuquerque and when I saw how low this hospital was reviewed I had to leave a better review. I gave birth in 2018. I was so pleased with the head nurse Denise who I still remember to this day. I was very well taken care of and after I gave birth I was giving a room by myself and was next to the window. The nurses came to help me and there was a feeding nurse to help me latch with my baby. I enjoyed all of my meals while I was there for a total of 3 days. I live in Albuquerque but would drive to Rio Rancho to deliver here again. After I gave birth I attended many breast feeding glasses by volunteers that I paid a one time $20 fee for. I would absolutely do it again and again. I breast fed for 1 1/2 years thanks to the help from the class. I hope after covid they will have it open again.

If no stars where available.. So I didn't attend the first visited my brother had with his knee doctor.. he says it went fine.. he exactly saw an ex ray of his knee total blow out. Doctor told my brother total knee replacement surgery needed.. the doctor give him a shot in the knee it relieve some discomfort a brace and some prescription for swallowing or inflammation.. Second visited I attend The nurse u gonna pay today.. huh.. doctor come i room 15 minutes later.. doctor accusing my brother of cutting hole in knee brace , then even though he said you need a Total knee replacement , asks if shot helped.. my brother was wheelchair to the back..my brother says couple days if not weeks. doctor refused to give a second shot.. even though that's all my brother would say.. at lease they can give him another shot because that what was told!! Doctor tells brother take over the counter meds.. because the one he give before give my brother a bad reaction.... Then the bomb the doctor ask if my brother smokes or chews tobacco .. my brother says yes we talked about that last time.. the doctor says well you can't get knee replacement surgery till you have 8 weeks clean.. my brother says to the doctor could of told me that in October.... With out receiving any good news only bad.. my brother wants out the office.. understandable.. before u get it wrong.. my brother retired and pays out of pocket for medical insurance.. anyone got a story like this one!! It blow my mind!! All my brother wants to happen is to get back to walking on his own.. a little closer to the best treatment.. he's nowhere near it according too the doc.... Sorry for spelling and grammar my brother doesn't know I wrote this..

Food is fine, room was fine, but they act entitled and you are there for them, not the other way around. The oncology drs were overall awful. The oncologist who treated me did not have the patients to explain what was going on in my own body and did not explain to me treatment options. She did not want to explain stuff to me without my mom being there. Excuse me, but I’m an adult and if I was too much to explain then I’m going to take my time, and my money somewhere else. You are a freaking DR that’s your job. Why did you choose this field? I have stage 4 cancer, give me a break. I did not choose to have cancer, I never wanted to take time or resources from other patients. I did not have a choice and because I’m an inconvenience I went somewhere else. There were also many medical errors made during my stay. If you value your life, go somewhere else. The quality of my medical care was awful. They would not even help me to the bathroom. They even accused me of being a drug attic. I’m sorry, but if you are extremely dehydrated from chemo yes you are going to have extreme head pain. They had the odyssey to give me pain pills and imply that I was addicted to them. When my mom came to get me they just dumped me in the hallway without my meds. Even though I’m dying, I do not want to be there, even if it was the last hospital on earth. Screw them🤡

It’s always nice when you visit the cafeteria and there is literally no food or cooks and hardly any staff in sight. And when you want to order something your told they close in an hour so everything has been shut down. I don’t know about the rest of you but when I was a cook, I took orders to the front doers were closed, but this is New Mexico where people lack all forms of professionalism and common sense. If you have procedures scheduled till six then the cafeteria needs to be open till 7 so you can accommodate your customers, it’s is literally that simple, like literally!!!… Do better, because it does not seem like you are trying at all…. Update, My husband was admitted to this place, and it was the worst night possible, the nurses and I use that term loosely, we’re no where to found, as a matter of fact I had to go find a nurse when my husband needed something, not okay. And they don’t monitor anyone here, my husbands vitals machine was sounding off for an hour before they showed up, and I had to get the nurse, as they were not monitoring anyone, which was the reason they admitted my husband in the first place. We will be leaving first thing in the morning, this place is a death trap and we would like to live. Never again!.

My family and I traveled to New Mexico for a wedding but unfortunately life had other plans and I had to get my appendix removed! It's always hard to be in a hospital and even harder being in another state in a hospital especially traveling with your 3 month old but literally every nurse/doctor were super sweet and some even went above and beyond. I'm extremely satisfied with the care I received here. Hopefully I won't have to come back here if I ever return to New Mexico but if in case I do. I know that I'm in good hands. Thank you so much! You guys are awesome!

Now it took Pres 40+ hours to get my pops from the emergency room to a hospital, and then it was to the Rust facility clear across town! But I'm glad it worked out that way. Pops had nothing but good things to say about the friendly personable nursing staff, the facilities were "extremely clean", and even the food was good ("fresh & well cooked"). We lost my mom this time last year; at one point in this stay, (Pops chuckle when he tells me) "Had one young nurse crying with me while we were talking about it". I realize that with Covid and RSV that everything is running at 130% capacity; nurses and doctors are stretched thin, and of course, care can suffer because of it. But my pops is doing better than he has in weeks, and he has the right medications for greater prospects in the weeks to come. Thank you for taking care of my pops.

Why wait at a 24/7 urgent for 2 hours just to see the doctor when you can have an emergency. Come here and wait in the lobby for more than 3 hours plus just to see the doctor. Feel neglected as you wait and see everyone who barely walks in and goes in the back as soon as they possible can while if your having an emergency then you have to wait. Ever seen the staff have their own issues and get pulled to back by security. Well now you can, all while still waiting for your check by the doctor. Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, come for disappointments, stay for the shenanigans they call a hospital. FYI never come here if you have a real problem. Go to a real hospital.

100 negative stars! Terrible hospital. Did my mother so dirty during covid. Craig Jensen her doctor should be fired for malpractice. The hospital treated my son awful as well in the ER on a separate occasion. Avoid this hospital at all costs!

I was from out of town. I went to a concert and got severe heatstroke. I was taken by ambulance by wonderful EMT's. However. When I was admitted to this hospital. The triage nurse was horrible, I had to ask for an IV and medication to stop violently throwing up. I arrived around 2pm and didn't see doctor until around 6:30 or 7. Then they stuck me in a room filled with wheel chairs, and kicked me out when I regained consciousness. This was the worst medical care facility I have ever had the mispleasure of being in. If you love or care for someone don't take them here. The people who work there are awful, and have zero empathy or care, or compassion for others.

In the past year and a half, I have been in at least six hospitals between Florida, Alabama, and New Mexico. Presbyterian Rust hospital has been the best, bar none, that I have been in these past year and a half. Their staff members have been absolutely incredible, polite, caring, hard working, and accurate in all their works. This includes the doctors, nurses, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, Etc. They have all done exceptionally well. There has been no negative energy while I had my stay here for the past 6 days. Keep up the good work people you all earned my biggest reward and that is the bank account in Yahuah's (Almighty God's)Heaven! Caleb

Took our 5 month old here at the direction of her pediatrician for COVID. Waited over 6 HOURS with a sick, over tired baby. Didn’t get home until 1AM. We are still trying to get her sleep schedule under control. Absolutely ridiculous.

I’m SO thankful to have delivered our son at Rust. The labor and delivery unit is outstanding and all the nurses were supportive of me having a natural birth. My midwife (Nina Simon), who I’d been seeing for prenatal appointments, was able to be present and delivered our son. Everyone was incredibly professional and the rooms were clean and well equipped. I definitely recommend Rust if you’ll be giving birth.

It’s rare that I review an ER but I took my daughter in last night and I am so grateful for how kindly the staff treated my two year old. They were soo kind and caring with her that the made an ER trip as comfortable as possible. My daughter left the hospital smiling thanks to nurse Jeremy and the rest of the team.

Alexandria Bledig took care of me and kept me informed on how she would do the surgery. She went above and beyond helping me. Which I am grateful for a person like her. If any issue of the same in the future, I will make sure to ask for her.

My experience was absolutely amazing! My nurses, Grace and Rose were both great. Went above and beyond. The care I received was greatly appreciated. I wish there was a way to show them both how much I appreciate their kindness and compassion. They really are the best. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me.

I'm impressed with the care and handling at RUST. Everyone has been friendly, kind, and helpful. There hasn't been a question unanswered or a concern unaddressed. Special thanks to Dr. Gumradi and Nurse Tech Adrian on the 5th floor for taking excellent care of my brother!

By far this is the best Hospital I've been too.. they got to me right away and also the nurses & doctor were amazing so why I gave them 5 star ⭐ because each and everyone of the EMT nurses and doctors are doing their best to save people lives and get to everyone that needs help! So WE AS PEOPLE SHOULD BE APPRECIATED WHAT THEY DO FOR US! All the hospitals I've been to were the worst places . UMN , Sandoval Regional are by far the dirtiest places I've been too!! Anyways be happy we have hospitals and get help.

I had a day procedure. And I'm sure the nurses in the GI clinic remember me. As I was a tuff stick. They had to call a friend of a friend to get my iv in. I'm use to this. However, the team I had yesterday were amazing. They were kind, understanding and so very patient. I expressed that I am in remission and I'm also in recovery. The way this staff cared for me was unbelievable. And I just wanted to thank you. For making what was an awful experience before. So much better. You all keep up the beautiful work you do. ❤️🌹🫶

I honestly don't like it. I have family on the Forth floor if I am not mistaken but I could be wrong about which floor she's on. We came to visit but when got to her room it smelled bad. So we went in and she was soaked and has not been changed for a day or more. The bedding never changed. She called and called and no one showed up. Not Evan a sponge bath. Nothing. I wouldn't recommend it due to my experiences. Everyone's different.

2022 I was hospitalized 4 days in acute care, and I was treated with tender care and respect by the Rust staff. They were quick to respond to my call button, they didn't nag or lecture me. My room was kept clean, yet they let me keep my nest in my bed, where I had enough blankets over my feet and legs to stay warm and comfortable. I did have trouble with the separate company that has the physical therapy, as the PTs were weird. They kept insisting they would go home with me, and talked about 2 weeks of constant home care.. The law and patient rights are that a person can't be forced to allow someone in their home, if you don't want them there. At first I smiled and said NO. Then I said, Hell, NO, Then I'd call the police if they ever showed up at my house. A Dr. kicked them out of my room. The nurses told them to leave, then the nurses got hold of my case manager. I had a severe internal infection that depleted my potassium levels, so I collapsed Presbyterian Rust took excellent care. I also had bladder surgery earlier that year and my care was of the same high standards.

Getting my dad in and out of their cardiology offices was a breeze! The crowds were minimal, the office staff was punctual, parking was easy. Only negative I have is there were no wheelchairs and/or assistance personnel to help get around. But there were plenty of places to stop and rest as needed, but was quite a walk for someone with a heart history. Much better experience than dealing with the downtown Pres campus.
