We love Taco Cabana! BUT we will never be back to this location--Rio rancho location off Unser-- No thank you! The service was horrendous! Just absolutely horrible. The lady working the register should not be in customer service. The food was okay, particularly the steak quasidlla was good and beef flatas. The tacos were extra greasy... hopefully the pic shows what I'm talking about. No salsa - they ran out of salsa... this is a taco place, right? Of course the cashier could have just been too lazy to go refill the salsa bar. Who really knows? They had the green jalapeño salsa and the habenero salsa, both do not taste good in their tacos... as an added, the salsa bar was very messy and not stocked..I have been many times to TC and all locations and never have I seen their salsa bar so bad. The cashier sat down twice looking at her phone - maybe she was on break... but finally when we were leaving, she gets up to clean the salsa bar... WOW! Customer service negative 1 if they had it....

We love Taco Cabana. The Mexican food is very good and the pricing is good for the budget. Their red chile sauce is outstanding. Be sure to order tacos or anything with a side of red. You won’t be disappointed! 🌮 The Mexican plates are good, tacos, breakfast items, literally everything. We frequent this place! Oh, great margaritas too. 🌯

I ordered 2 taco salads this evening. I found a container in one. I have no idea if this was a used container from another customer. Or just a simple mistake. But after waiting in drive thru for about a half hour, i ran out of time when i got back to work. I am tossing this taco salad due to finding this in my food. Since phones aren't an option tonight, i tried to send taco cabana a complaint. Their website was all screwed up so i couldn't even contact them. I suppose the health department oughta be made aware of this. Will see how hangry i am later. Update. I noticed my review had disappeared, and to top it off. Theres another review where it was mentioned that there was plastic in their food. Is this beginning to be a thing?

We used to love this place until they started getting out order incorrect and/or cold on multiple occasions. Called the manager Terry, who has refused to make it right. Food in hand to return and showed the issues, Terry still refused to assist. Corporate does NOTHING! Better off going somewhere service and quality matters!

The reason for 4 stars is going to be for the manager Lori. We ordered after lunch rush on a Sunday around 02:23pm. We placed our order filled our salsas up which the salsa bar needed to be refilled - little to no cilantro. We saw employees hustling around, and watched 4 people order after us and get their food. After 25 minutes I went to the front and that’s where I met LORI. She immediately admitted my order could have been deleted and she will check on it and bring it to our table. 5 minutes later she did so with a sincere apology for the mistake, and a few coupon cards for our next visit, should we decide to return…. The chips & queso are really good, next time I’ll be sure to get my own. The steak quesadilla was more of a chunky cheese with pico & some bites had steak but not all. I would never order that again. The tortilla itself is what made it appealing/ appetizing. Shout out to my abuelita looking lady making the tortillas with a smile the entire time. The flautas were actually really good, the guacamole was definitely fresh! As for the salsas themselves overall they were basic to horrible. The RED was so WATERY. The bright green was the best probably due to the amount of sodium it had in it. The dark green is HORRIBLE at least today it was, all it tasted like was burnt chili skin, think of roasting green Chile only eating the burnt part with ZERO flavor. Horrid. But again we will return back knowing the manager Lori will be there after 3pm. Maybe I’ll try a chicken fajita as recommended by the manager. The salsa bar had ran out and Lori kindly brought me a container of cilantro and jalapeño salsa verde.

My family and I love Taco Cabana. If you want great Mexican food that is fresh, inexpensive and quick- this is the place. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love their chicken fajitas with eggs for breakfast and of course their breakfast burritos. For dinner their chicken flameante is so delicious with the meat falling off the bone. Tortillas are made in house and delicious. This place is cheaper than McDonald's and 100% better in taste.

Great employees here! They went above & beyond to help us. Great breakfasts here, too. That fresh pico de gallo is the best. Very clean dining area. And you can get a frozen margarita. What’s not to like?

I was traveling though Albuquerque and stopped to try this. I don't have one where I'm from, but if I did, I would eat there everyday. So delicious! Crazy good! Ill never eat anywhere else traveling through NM. Thank you!!

Great price. Consistent food. I usually order the beef taco salad. Today I decided to order the chicken fajita taco salad. I expected a tasty grilled bigger than diced chicken, right. Well to my surprise, it was more of a mushy cat food textured salty chicken?.. I think chicken ? . I really enjoy Taco cabana, forever I will not encourage the chicken fajita anything. With that being said, I will be back for the beef taco salad. Enjoy

Dine in! Great experience and the food tastes great. Ordered steak fajitas and got alot of options on the salsa bar. Server/cashier ensured our to go order was bagged and very helpful and polite.

Food is always pretty good, when you get what you ordered! Just today I received my chips, but the queso was inconviently left out of my bag! Nothing worse than getting all the way home and realizing the star of the meal is nowhere to be found! Makes it hard to ever go back.

Had a very good breakfast burrito with chorizo, bacon and red chile. They also have amazing fajitas here. I suggest the family size, half beef, half chicken. Then load up on an assortment of salsas from their salsa bar

It's exactly what you think it is. Regular Mexican food at a reasonable price that tastes like the exact averaged mean of the best and worst Mexican food you've ever had. Like, think of taco bell being the worst and some Mexican place with the Mariachis on Sunday where you spent $300 for your cousin's birthday cuz it's literally THE BEST Mexican you will ever have... Being a 10. Then Taco Cabana is exactly a 5. We used to get it right before band practice on Wednesday nights. It didn't take long for us to start going AFTER practice. I was in a punk band. Lots of jumping around.

I love the food. No question about that. It's just the trashy customer service I get from time to time or not having my order right so very often. Today it did it for me! After I got served by this rude, no manners young chubby with glasses dark long hair very young in the drive through. I repeated what I wanted twice and never gave me what I asked for but I'm used to that, but her rudness with taking orders and picking up the food from her. Jesus christ! Hire more unprofessional youngsters like her so you can stay in business because I'm never coming back because of her!

Typical fast food Mexican joint. Nothing special and definitely nothing flavorful. It all taste the same. Looks better than it taste. I don't ever eat at these places since I first tried it. Just my opinion but maybe you folks may have better experiences

This place surprised us. It looks like fast food joint but the food was good and the staff was friendly. One member of our party had a service dog, and the staff was very welcoming and even brought out water and a few chicken scraps for the dog.

The food is great most the time, depending on who is working. Same with the customer service... I really appreciate when they separate the cheese from the nachos so that when i get home the chips aren't soggy. This isn't always the case, so helps to double check they will package it separate. Even though they have double lanes, they don't always use both and the line can be very long, and the wait longer.

I thought I was getting watermelon juice, not sugar water flavored with watermelon. . As a diabetic, if I actually drank that, I would have gone into a diabetic coma. Maybe you should warn people that this drink may not be suitable for diabetics, or better yet, cut way down on the sugar. It was really awful

They forgot my order, after sitting patiently for my order and everyone was done eating I finally went to the cashier about my order which turns out was cancelled on the computer. I would think the server would have done something seeing the number on the table as she went by a bunch of times. Food was good after I got it.

Just ordered from Taco Cabana, haven’t been for awhile, decided to try for a quick dinner, the young man that took our order was so rude and short with us, I was livid. Plus I did ask for my tacos soft and they werent after we asked and he said he ordered them soft. Keep employees like that in the back, shameful. We are paying for our food. Julian the name on receipt.

The BEST food ever! My lunch at work is five stars

When I do come here, I come here to get the #68 (among a few other go-to items). Although the menu lists what comes with the order, I've had my order miss items a few times now. The portion size is oddly inconsistent considering (again) the ingredients are listed in the menu. The only thing that has remained consistent all these years is the taste. So at least happy with that.

The best refried beans from any restaurant in the state. I always love coming here and this location was my first love. I had beef fajitas and they were excellent. I am rarely ever disappointed and generally always more than satisfied when I leave. My favorite all around Mexican fast food joint of all time. Basically it costs just a few cents more than Taco Bell and more than 100 times better.

Read some of the reviews before ordering for my family, and I have to be honest, I was a bit skeptic, but did it anyways. I have to say that I'm impressed. I've always loved TC, but only have had it in Texas, but they don't have the New Mexico flair like they do here. I WISH they had TC there like they do here. Chile rellenos, New Mexico green AND red are top notch chile. I'm from NM and have been to culinary school so believe me, they're doing it right here, right now. And I understand that almost every place messes up in a while, but give this location a break, keep coming and dont give up on 'em...I still hope that one day they add these items to the TX Taco Cabanas one. Until then, itll NEVER be the same.
