Nice place to sit and watch the boats if the weather is nice. Also, if you are interested in shopping there are a number of shops and shopping arcades & passages in the area.

The annual floating Christmas tree is always wonderful to see. But the Christmas market also has its own special flair, especially in the dark. This year the dog bakery, chocolate tools and brush making caught my eye.

Good place to chill, relax and linger, I imagine it would be really pleasant in the summer, but it will definitely be very busy. Unfortunately we were there at the end of January and it was cold. Otherwise recommended if you are traveling in Hamburg. Restaurants and shopping options within walking distance.

A widespread terraced boardwalk along the Binnenalster. A place to see and be seen. And, of course, to watch the tourist boats. You may also decide to drink a coffee in one of the local cafƩs.

Very nice view of the Binnenalster. As someone who has never been here, I find this place to be a place to relax with the view of the calm water.

Hamburg is also worth a trip, there are many sights to see. In my opinion you can save yourself the hop on hop off buses. The Jungfernstieg and the harbor with fish market were the most interesting things for me, as was a harbor tour. If you like musicals you can also visit some here. For me, Hagenbeck's zoo was something I always wanted to see. The Reeperbahn is not for me, there are only drunk homeless tourists there during the day and drunk tourists in the evening.

No longer as atmospheric as before the pandemic, no more express bus to Blankenese, no more cars, only wooden boards on the street, no more atmosphere, bans, bans, bans, no freedom, no atmosphere. Simply not like it used to be, just a parade ground for a dictatorship!!!! Is it wanted like that? Should we get used to a dictatorship of a coming autocrat of a dictator?????

Should you ever find yourself in Hamburg with 48 hours to spare, just grab one of the cityā€™s legendary fish rolls (and maybe an umbrella) and follow our lead!šŸš¶ First, weā€™ll stroll through the party district of St. Pauli, taking in the Reeperbahn and a range of cool and trendy shops. From there, we walk past the Elbphilharmonie concert hall to the historical Speicherstadt warehouse district. On the second day, we explore Jungfernstieg, Hamburgā€™s perennially popular promenade along the Inner Alster Lake to round off a truly magical experience. šŸŒ‡

(Translated by Google) Nice seating (which you can move) a great coffee / Restaurante next door. Source Wikipedia: Originally built as Reesendamm for damming the Alster in 1235 under Count Adolf IV of Schauenburg and Holstein, he was the site of the upper mill. One of the oak piles from which the dam was built has been turned into a sculpture by Richard Luksch that can be viewed on the platform of the U1 and commemorates the victims of a water leak during the construction of this station in the 1930s. The Jungfernstieg was in 1838 Germany's first street that was paved. After the Great Fire in 1842, a regulation of the Alster was made, their main drain was passed through an old moat under the ReesendammbrĆ¼cke by the Kleine Alster on the Alsterarkaden, while the old drainage through today's Nikolaifleet was. The south side of the Jungfernstieges was rebuilt. From 1843 to 1881, the first large shopping arcade, Sillem's Bazar, was on Jungfernstieg. The street was given its name by a bourgeois rite: on the boulevard on Sunday, families took their unmarried ladies, the maidens, for a walk.
