This place is crowded in summer and in warm days people used to come really in big groups with the boat and go around the Alster and that city park in Hamble I'll come and it is a very nice place and very good service.

The prices and ride were decent. I just wish the people manning the rental were a bit more welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It makes a world a difference. We had no idea how to stir but with a bit of trial and error you’ll figure it out.

You get kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddles. They operate much later into the evening - closed at 9pm on a Saturday that we went there. We took solo kayaks and had a fun time following and rowing along the canals, looking at the maps they provided. Good place to spend a weekend at!

It is good place to visit. However, the cost per hour is so expensive and we had to pay extra for vest which was not even clean. I mean what they charge per hour would be enough for free Vest and drinks. What do you think? How was your experience in this place?

Zur Gondel is usually closed by now, but this year they will be open till just before Christmas. Wonderful ambience, excellent service - even though we only had coffee, we were treated so well. The little wood stove makes a difference - it's really cosy. Highly recommended!

Nice place to rent all kind of boats but you have to arrive at 11.00 or 12.00 the latest on sunny days to avoid long lines. Restaurant is very good and attention from the personal also.

We weren't able to experience the service to the fullest as it is extremely crowded on sunny days and weekends. We were told to wait 2-3 hours for a boat. Other than that, the place is in a nice location. Maybe they will have extra boats next time.

You have to be there early otherwise all the boats will be gone. But also when we were there we saw 2 free boats but the manager told us there were no boats, that was weird. But it was a good experience.

I am very often at this place that's my favorite spot in Hamburg for a Kajak ride or just have a drink close to water or eat a delicious pasta with Scampi. I can only recommend this place! The team there is also super simpatic on their way ;)

I always had good experiences there, but lately everything has changed, the staff is very unfriendly and the boats are old and dirty. After they rent you the boat no one guides you to your boat and no life-jackets. hopefully it will change soon.

No-nonsense kind of place. Renting two kayaks was easy and fast, there was close to no waiting time when I was there. Prices could be a bit cheaper and in my opinion a plastic container for valuables shouldn't be an extra thing you need to pay for but already be included in the price. Good starting location for a boat tour through the canals.

Beautiful view, perfect if you come from the waterside in canu or kayak. Plain cake and coffee...

Convenient for the neighborhood. Easy to rent. Sometimes might have big lines during hot days. Overall fair prices and conditions. It takes around 30 min from here to Alster by boat which is okay. One the way back might be longer as you tend to be more tired.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place as the personnel is not trustworthy. Let me explain: we rented a canoe for four and my friend left his wallet on the dock when leaving. He only realized this 15min later on the water. We let him out so he could go back and check for his wallet as he knew by the AirTag in his wallet that it was still at the docks. When asking the owner whether it was found he said no, although after getting directions for the AirTag it was with him the whole time. My friend confronted him and the guy (older man with long hair and hat) wanted to run away…. Eventually the guy returned the wallet with all its contents, but this was just mad. The canoe was in poorly used condition as well as the paddles. 26,50€ an hour is not appropriate in my opinion. Hope this helps.
