River rouge let everyone build pot shops around the park and the school... Like as a student u can see the pot shops out the window, prolly smell em, i thought there was laws against placing liquor stores, strip clubs, bars and pot shops near (let alone surrounding) children's parks and schools. Corrupt officials IMO, bring the addicts, write the tickets, jail & impound, collect the taxes, local children be d&mned ... PS stay away from Schaefer and Jefferson, marijuana mile or not its an engineered speed trap (w 2x school zone), take southfield or outer drive to 75, youve been warned!!

The Waterpark for the kids is nice but do not wear nice shoes they will be black because of the dry dirt everywhere .There are tons of yellow jackets flying around you the entire time .I would not recommend anything about this park but the Waterpark.

Took my daughter to the splash pad for the first time and we both loved it. We’ve recently moved to the area from Southwest Detroit and I’ve never seen a public splash pad in a park! The worker was very friendly and I appreciated he offered to pay the dollar for my daughter so I didn’t have to go back to the car (I thought it was open to the public). The area was pretty clean just a couple leaves but it’s nothing to move out of the way and throw out. Definitely will be coming back soon.

I love this part been going there since I was a kid. Now I take my own kid. Just wish they would have someone pick up the trash a little more. Plus the playground could use a little maintenance. There are some parts on the jungle gym where there should be safety bars & are not
