We absolutely adore this incredibly clean lake, we never have a poor experience, the wildlife does not disappoint, I can see fish everytime I come, just from the shoreline but mostly sitting on the dock, watching the waters dance, the staff is soooo great from Sonny the head Ranger and most humble of people, he lights this place up with his warmth, to the many Camp Hosts, bathrooms r always clean, Camp Store has a log cabin/country feel to it, Chantel is in charge if u ever need her--bait, reels, fishing poles, lures, snacks, drinks and beer, ice creams, clothes, suits, shoes, firewood...I know I'm ranting but the feeling I get when I'm there is a peace I rarely can find, especially in such a large area its still feels like a giant hug. Days r filled with people out and about, yard games and BBQ through until the evening, then u can't help but want to walk around and meet others at campfires to share stories, then crawl into bed with something as simple as a smile. I covet this place, they've won my ❀

Beautiful little camp ground with a camp store and fuel island. Boat launching, great fishing, multiple play grounds, splash pad, good bike trails for the family to enjoy, boat rentals as well. Full RV hook ups, grass lawns on the outskirts of the camp ground, great for day use (keep your tents off). Restroom, showers, laundry facilities also has group camp grounds. Is open all year and no fire bans as of now.

Nestled beside the tranquil lake, this campsite is a nature lover's paradise. The hiking trails winding through the lush greenery provided an immersive experience, allowing me to walk and hike freely. The well-maintained paths and informative markers made exploring the area a joy, ensuring a seamless journey through the diverse landscape. The camping restrooms are widely available and are around most key points of the areas. Definitely a huge recreational area that can fit a lot of needs such as camping options, fishing, walking/hiking, picnicking, or even taking your kiddos to their on-site water park. Definitely a wonderful and remote escape to the otherwise hustle and bustle!

They charge per person to get in rather than per car. No swimming in lake due to it being a drinking water resovoir. But there is boating and camping. Splash pad said closed until further notice. Pretty though and the wildflowers were beautiful! I will come here again but wish they had a big public swimming pool and slides since there is no swimming in the lake. And it should be cheaper to get in. It would be expensive for a large family who struggles financially. I don't know if there are cheaper passes for low income families but there should be if they are going to charge people to enter.

The place is great and huge. The splash zone for kids is wonderful kids have a lot of fun and there's a lot of trees 🌳 to sit under. There are a few picnic tables, bathrooms are very close by, great place for the whole family to enjoy. The only down fall is the entry price is per person not per car.

When we Arrived at the gate we were 14th in line. It Took 40 minutes to enter the park. The CG was very full, it was noisy all weekend. There were barking dogs, dogs not on leashes, remote control cars, electric scooters, loud stereos. People up partying till after 1am around their fires. It Appears all β€œcamp rules” are ignored. Bathrooms were clean. Our Fire pit at spot was left dirty and had trash in it when we arrived. The park in general is very nice. This was our 4th time here and only time it had been so loud. Make sure you check out the camp store and walk down to the lake.

I gave this only 4 stars because it was raining and our site was flooded because it was not graded to drain. Otherwise this is a very nice campground. We went at Christmas time. Went fishing. Beautiful lake!

Many great memories here over the years, fishing, hiking, camping and boating. Check out the boat rentals at the marina or bring your own boat rig. Awesome time always for catch n release bass fishing. An excellent experience with staff at the general store for your camping and fishing needs. Soon my understanding the small restaurant will reopen near the general store.

Really nice staff at check-in. Our family stayed over a weekend (two nights). The campsites are nice and fairly spacious. There are grass areas that allow for fun activities during the day. The lake was larger than expected with options for boating rentals and fishing. The only thing that became an issue was restroom cleanliness. However, to be fair, we came during a busy weekend with lots of campers. Toilet paper was in short supply, and the cleanliness wasn't great. They could have been short-staffed over the weekend. Overall, we had a nice stay and will be back!

It is a great place for disconnecting from the world. Hidden behind a few wineries for some in town fun. They have 3 campgrounds, most with full hook-ups. It is a beautiful place for the family.

Enjoyed our stay! The lake is beautiful and there are lots of hiking trails. Bring squirrel food 🐿 and go before it gets super hot. πŸ”₯ I rated a 4 because the picnic tables are falling apart. One of our campers sat on the bench and it broke in half.

Dry camping for the TVBWF was a wonderful experience. The weather was fantastic this year and love that the craft beer selection is growing!! The restrooms were so clean and the main showers had hot hot water.

A great place for a weekend getaway, or an extended stop as you travel full-time; Lake Skinner has something to offer for everyone. Boating, Fishing, Hiking, or simply spending the day enjoying the best of the California Inland Empire, Lake Skinner is your spot! Nestled in the Multi Species Reserve, the area has great trails for everyone, from light walks, too long hikes, and everything in between. The lake is stocked with Big Mouth Bass, Stripped Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Bluegill, and over the colder months starting somewhere between November and December, the lake stocks trout! As of this writing, Day use prices are $6 per adult, $3 per child 12 and under, with images 2 or less getting in free. Fishing requires a state license, as well as a County permit at $10 per person.

Winchester, CA Lake Skinner Recreation Area. So, I've been here only a few days now but I really love this park. They have really nice large, flat sites, full hookup, partial hookups and dry camping. I'm in one of the long term sites (28 days). There are bathouses in each circle that look nice and clean although I haven't used them. They have a camp store that is well stocked, although a little pricey, but that's to be expected with a captive audience. πŸ˜ƒ There is also a playground in Circle A that looks nice. There is also a laundromat and a cafe that is open during peak season (which is not now 😦 ) Overall, great park and very good price. Oh, and if you are wine drinker it's in the Temecula Valley Wine Country with lots of wineries.

Went for the balloon and wine festival. What a mess. Getting in and out is a nightmare. No organization and only a one lane road. The ride share area had no cell service to order a ride. Food and alcohol booths were way too far away from the main stage. Brad paisley was awesome though.

Great RV camping. We tent camped and it was cold in October but the Halloween trick or treating the weekend before Halloween was amazing. Loved visiting and the green grass areas were great for kids to play. Lots of wide open spaces for kids to run around.

We visited during a week that rained off and on so that could have impacted the occupancy but we had so much space! We stayed in campground B in the 490s and it was right by the trail to head down to the water. The sites had full hook-ups, a picnic table and fire ring. This unseasonably rainy Winter already had things green and everywhere you looked was postcard worthy. 2 fun play areas and a splash zone in Summer. I imagine it gets crazy hot in Summer and there's not much shade but for end if March, it's perfect.

This place is beautiful you can camp you can go to the splash zone on hot days. You can fish in the lake. There’s no swimming in the lake. This place is amazing to spend a weekend or even a day pass. The trails are very nice to walk on the trails😎 just an amazing place. Lost of and plenty to explore. the store is nice and the have a dinner but I haven't been to it. There aren't a bunch of drunks everywhere but the people there are still really chill and fun. I just wish there were more bike/rc car jumps.

Beautiful, relaxing place to enjoy the natural beauty. The Campground store sells Propane, fishing gear and licenses, along with some basic food and drinks. Most sites offer Full Hookup.

Stayed here for a few days over Thanksgiving with family. Very clean and well maintained campsites. Rangers were on patrol even over the holiday weekend. I will warn of the wasps that are attracted to food. Not dangerous, just a bit of a nuisance.
