Parents were in town so I brought them here for the day. It’s a beautiful historic property, easily spent 2 hours strolling the grounds admiring every little detail. It’s never crowded when I’m here which I love. And the bar has comfortable seating, tastefully decorated. Drinks are consistent. The calamari is fried to perfection. There’s a guided tour if you wanna geek out.

What a beautiful hotel! My husband and i spent a few nights here. And thought this would be a wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately around 9pm one evening we had water leaking on our ceiling. Like gushes of water. This proceeded to leak all over the TV and floor. We put down towels and called the front desk. They said maintenance would be right up. Nobody came and we finally went to bed. The next morning at checkout we complained and was told a supervisor would call us. They never called us. I emailed. They never emailed. We wont be back due to the amount of money we spent with the lack of customer service.

Okay but overpriced. It's not a modern building. While that arguably adds to the charm of the hotel, there is no concrete or sound insulation between the floors. As a result, if you are on the first or second floor, you are going to hear thunderfoot above you stomping around. Kind of ruins your shot at a peaceful getaway. The rooms and beds are nice enough but the bathroom is in dire need of remodeling. There appeared to be mold in the shower. The pool is too shallow and attracts families with noisy kids and boisterous, somewhat vulgar, young people. Again, takes away from the "spa" vibe. They have a parking garage behind the hotel but you have to pay $17 a day to park there. Your best bet is to leave before 7 a.m. If no attendant is at the booth, you can drive out for free. On a more positive note, the hotel restaurant is pretty good and offers room service, with a surcharge of course. There are two other restaurants that are in the hotel. So plenty of dining options. The staff are professional.

Talking about having such a beautiful magical dinner! It’s my yearly tradition to have dinner at The Mission Inn Restaurant during the Holiday festival of lights. It’s such a lovely atmosphere! So elegant! and magical! I also want to add each time I go staff members are sweet and very attentive! I’m so happy with service all the time!

Due to COVID-19 they don’t provide all you can eat brunch like used to be.. but they offer 3 courses . 2 beverage included Champagne 🥂 /juicy /coffee /tea. If you are fan of Champagne you can’t miss it . To ensure the safe environment.they measure guest’s temperature and all the staffs wear 😷 . Recommendation 👉Doneness crab cake 👉Smoked salmon Benedict egg - The dessert is crepe with ice cream but i would prefer French style crepe instead of American sweet style but over all it’s still very enticing experience to have the outdoor

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and now bring my children and I still enjoy this beautiful place of downtown Riverside history. The food, drinks, and service is absolutely amazing and thoughtful. Before or after your meal, I would recommend talking a walk around the beautiful grounds and adjoining shops. If your planning to spend the night, make reservations ahead of time. The holidays are approaching and the Mission Inn decorations are beautiful to see during the evening come December. Follow me for places to visit and to read the reviews before you go.

I booked here end of April due to its proximity to the convention center but WOW, just WOW. I have never seen a more gorgeous hotel! Everyone MUST stay here for the architecture alone. I spent a couple hours just wandering the grounds. Just when I thought I saw it all, lo and behold, I find some other nook that’s just mind blowing. There’s even a Chinese courtyard and a room with this huge Buddha and Chinese antiquities. Aside from that, the room was so clean, comfortable and spacious - down to the satin sheets - I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. We also got a late check out. My ONLY gripe is the facet that the parking is across the street and the close the entrance closest to that at 8pm so you have to walk all the way around to the main entrance. Pool is open to 11pm which is plenty late too. And the grounds staff are so friendly - one guy opened the door and showed us the clock room and pointed us to the rotunda area. I can totally see why so many presidents have stayed here and Ronald Reagan had his honeymoon here! We were also less than an hour from Palm Springs. Amazing stay!!

This was our third year staying here during the holidays. From current reviews I can see that their service is suffering. We also experienced terrible service for a 4 star hotel. Requested room to be cleaned and it never happened. Had the worse experience in their Spanish Patio restaurant. Truly I have had better service at a Denny’s. The food took an hour and a half and came out completely cold. Just soup and sandwiches. Just crazy. We spent $500.00 per day during our stay. Seems they would care more about their customer service. Such a shame when we look forward to that as a holiday tradition for us.

This is such a beautiful location to have a mini vacation or any type of get away. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in some distant place, the peace and tranquility as well as all the history that it brings. I absolutely love the convenience of having many restaurants to choose from as well as lounges and seating areas, you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't want to. You can take a brisk walk around the hotel, take a tour, watch a wedding take place in the chapel. Or walk around the block to the local shops, the library and park. Only drawback is that I am a very light sleeper and depending on where your room is, you may get a lot of noise from either restaurant below, the pool area or the busy street. But you can't beat the quality of rooms and the beds are so comfortable! I would highly recommend for any type of occasion. Or just drop by for dinner at any restaurant. Always have a great time when I go.

Beautiful during the Festival of Lights. Great food at all of the outlets (should always have a table available for hotel guests; they don't). Classic hotel worth the visit; don't expect 21st century modern. Just classic and beautiful.

A HISTORIC LANDMARK FOR RIVERSIDE 🔔 Whenever anyone asks me how I feel about the Mission Inn I always feel positive and excited to share how wonderful my experiences here have been. The Mission Inn is one of Southern California's most beautiful missions. The owner and his family have done and excellent job ensuring it stays around for years to come. They've also invested a lot into it for the enjoyment of local residents and distant visitors. There are number places one can eat inside and outside the hotel, as it's in the heart of Riverside. The pool has a Spanish Hollywood charm. There is also a Holiday Brunch that would knock your socks off, and they do Christmas light decorations every year. It's also where Anne Rice wrote portions of Interview with the Vampire. The rooms are amazing and the property is lush with inspiration. There is also a chappel and art gallery where weddings are held, as well as the presidential bar, and a steak restaurant inside. Our room was gorgeous and romantic. We absolutely loved our sheets, which stayed cool to the touch, while soft and sensual. We can't wait to go back again!

I was with friends and just wanted to explore the historical hotel. I had never been to center of the hotel and I’m actually a local. I guess the rule is if you don’t have a hotel room, you aren’t allowed to view or walk down the rotunda or experience the inner areas. We were quiet and respectful and just wanted to see the inside of the building. While it was beautiful, we were escorted out because we didn’t have a room. I thought about paying for a room before just to wake up to the scenery, however I don’t like the idea of being watched by security or talked down to because I look young. While I have been here before for work luncheons, and have never ran into issues with security or being escorted out, I’m not interested in going again to be watched.

The Mission Inn restaurant was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here and the entire experience was beyond my wildest dreams. I recommend the hot latte, the salmon and the spicy sausage pasta dish. I recommend making a reservation as it is quite popular. The property is beautiful and truly out of this world!

We made reservation to Mission Inn Restaurant to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We dined at their patio… perfect venue for the occasion. We got the courtyard by ourselves/ no other people dining, this was around 4:30pm on a Friday (3 days ago). Beautiful architecture design of the place and so is the landscape/ beautiful flowers blooming now. Our experience is topped with our great server Salomon, coz we got the best service from him… Mission Inn Church is beautiful looking through the pictures that was situated on the windows of a building by the plaza, the Church there would be a great venue for wedding😍 Thank you Mission Inn… and Salomon for excellent service during our dining

This place is amazingly beautiful. The balcony rooms give you the Romeo and Juliette vibe. Great place to have a wedding or to celebrate that special occasion. Good place to bring the little ones as well. We will be coming back to stay soon.

This place was awesome, beautiful architecture! We were in town for Dive Nationals and honestly was not excited about staying in Riverside, but the place made it feel like a vacation! Everyone we came in contact with was so nice! Customer service was way above average! We enjoyed our pool time between events, towel service and a friendly attendant was there to take drink and food orders. We had so much fun exploring this place, so happy we stayed here!!

Overall my 2 night stay was okay. The view and the hotel was beautiful. I will say half of the staff I had an encounter with were pleasant and not the other half. My room was okay I had an issue with the bathroom door to where it would get stuck and lock me in. Lol. My partner had to push the door from the outside for it to open up. Lastly with my reservation I was told we would be able to have 2 complimentary drinks per night. That Never happened.🤷‍♀️

Someone charged my room for misc. snacks. I did not have nor eat these snacks. I was never notified of these charges before I left. The hotel staff just charged my company credit card without any verification or notification. *** update It took a while but my credit card was refunded. Thank you! The hotel is absolutely beautiful!

Upon arrival there is Valet parking available for a fee, street parking and a local parking garage nearby. This historic Inn has so much to offer from the moment you walk into the lobby from the architect and history surrounding it. With a variety of restaurants on property and bars to enjoy a relaxing meal. We ate at at Las Campanas and it was delicious. The guacamole was exceptionally good! After the meal we did a self tour of the property of 238 hotel rooms/suites and experienced the history. Definitely if in Riverside stop in to view this property and experience a nice meal here!

This is a beautiful historic hotel with plenty of charm and character. It is a National Hostoric Hotel. The service is superior and the restaurants are delicious with a wide range of offerings. The rooms are clean and quaint. The hotel is a hidden gem within Riverside and offers a number of breath taking scenes and artwork. Highly recommend a visit and a tour from the museum.

We have been going to the Mission Inn for Thanksgiving for several years now. It was still nice 3 yrs. ago, last year not so good, and this year (today) was awful. The food is all cold, tasteless, and not worth getting "seconds" of. No one wanted to go back for more of anything and didn't finish what they had to begin with. They used to have it in the ballroom....now it's in what seems to be a hallway and glamorized coffee shop. Needless to say for 80.00/person our family won't be going back. They have also gotten very cheap. They used to leave the Champagne on the table and had a station of juices. Now the juices are gone and you are allowed two small mimosas. Very disappointed. I heard many other people complaining as well.

It was good but expensive for this quality. I really liked tiramisu and the bread with butter. But egg benedict was okay. Not so good. They serve champagne for free and you can order three meals for brunch. The price was 80 bucks with tax and tip! The place with ancient building and flowers, vibe and atmosphere are the best!

My husband and I Stayed the first weekend of January 2021 the hotel space was nice. However the service we received was terrible, while going out shopping we left some shopping bags in our room(thinking it would be safe) and coming back to a cleaned room but an item we purchased was missing! We figured it must have been thrown away by the hotel staff, and immediately made a report with the security office on site. After making the report the security and management assured us that they would get to the bottom of the situation and file a report with their insurance company. Weeks had gone by and I continually checked on the investigation with the security office and with the security manager, and still to no avail had no answers to what was going on with the investigation. Finally someone from the insurance company reached out to me a month later and stated they were starting the investigation. Weeks went by and with another follow up with the security team, still no one knew what was going on. I was very patient and understanding that this may take a while but still upset that items were taken from my room. After awhile months went by and I gave the insurance company a call to find out what was going on with the claim, the insurance specialist let me know that the manager of the hotel denied the claim and told the insurance company to send a letter reporting that they don’t want to pay for the lost item. I am beyond furious as I had been patient through this matter, only to find out that the hotels staff assurance of making sure I would be reimbursed for the items missing that they reneged on their promise to handle the situation. I will never stay at this establishment again, as they don’t take care of their customers. I would give them a 0 star rating if I could. Stay away!!!

It is a magical place full of history and beauty definitely must be visited. All staff was polite, friendly, and professionals. We asked many questions about the building, and they were knowledgeable and good communicators. Our order was OK and not equally unique but reasonably priced. We ordered a Tiramisu, a creme brulee, and cappuccino.

We attended an awards banquet here. The venue is beautiful. Our complaint is about the catering format. All the fillets were cooked medium rare. While this is exactly the way I like my steak, many people do not like their steak that pink. I was surprised they didn't have the option to select a preference. Dessert was Casey Cupcakes, which are delicious. However, the catering service chose to use many flavors that people either love or hate. Patrons were not given a choice, just presented a cupcake. Again, I'm easy and like almost everything. But, this was not the experience for most people at my table. I would recommend they change their catering options to allow more advance selections so more people can enjoy the food as much as I did.

Beds are like sleeping on a cloud: so silky and comfy after a long day driving and sightseeing. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. Only had breakfast, but it was tasty and the dining room is beautiful. This is why you stay here; it's a beautiful place and intriguing architecturally and they run a professional high end hotel. I felt safe and had fun.

How can I start this review??? 🤔 Well to start off what a amazing hotel... this location comes with a amazing story. First the building was built back 1876 and still standing strongly.. The rooms had an fabulous view... all of the employees from the minute you drive in, then when you walk to the inside. We're very helpful with all our needs. Thank you all!!!! This is a perfect place to bring you kids, family or friends. Close to many different restaurants and stores...

The place itself is beautiful. The ambience is just excellent and romantic, if you want to bring your better half. They have 3 restaurants, all of them are beautiful and the food is excellent, as well as the service! Definitely recommend this place for business or special occasions. It can be pricey, but is worth it.

Always fully booked. Loved the atmosphere and the food was quite good. The service was a bit slow, we waited for about 20 mins to be served after the meal for the dessert. It would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't 100 degree weather but we couldn't wait to get back to our room for the AC. But it was a pleasant experience though. Loved the friendliness, the food, and the dessert.

We’ve been coming here for years. If you love history and architecture and luxury, this is the place for you. Surrounding area is OK you can find some great restaurants a four-story, antique mall, bookstore, etc. within a few minutes walk. Lovely hotel with all sorts of nooks and crannies and history, and well appointed rooms. Nice pool too!

I have come here a number of times over the years for the restaurants or holiday lights, but this is the first timed I stayed as a hotel guest. Simply put it is amazing. My room was perfect, the staff are incredible. The atmosphere was enchanting. I want to give the front desk staff a special shout out. I made a mistake on my reservation and they helped fix in in away that was above and beyond. I will absolutely be back. The hotel is a destination to it's self. I especially enjoyed exploring the floors and admiring the architecture and decor. Thank you mission inn for making a work trip feel like a vacation.

This place needs to be in its own category as far as hotels are concerned. I just needed a place to spend the night before going to our beach rental. It looked interesting , so we stayed here. My granddaughters thought I had found a castle. This place is right out of a fairy tail. They couldn't believe I found a way to stay here. It's that over the top. You couldn't re-create the property in modern times. The cost would be too high. It ended up being a destination we still talk about, many years later. We spent the whole evening just looking at the various rooms, hidden passages and sections of the property. There isn't a highlight as everything was so over the top... The hotel is giant sized. The pool area looked familiar. I'm not even sure how many movies it's been featured in.

We got the spinach dip and the garlic shrimp linguine....the spinach dip looked like swamp water with cheese on top. The linguine had no flavor. I mean how can you miss the garlic in a garlic linguine. The ambiance and the view was great.

Wow. I had no idea how amazing this place was going to be. Three highlights: dinner in the inner courtyard under the stars, the setting was spectacular and food to match. The presidential lounge, where you can drink great cocktails in the room where presidents and filmstars stayed. And the ridiculously beautiful and evocative furniture on the landings. Stay if you can, a memorable experience!

I have stopped at the Mission Inn to eat many times but I’ve never spent the night here. It was our anniversary so we booked a room on the fourth floor which has the best views. The service of the five star restaurants which we have eaten at two of them this trip are great too. The staff makes you feel welcome and have class servicePlus the cocktails in the lounge are fantastic and handmade crafted. Definitely gonna stay here again.

July 2023: We came back and stayed 5 days. It's an amazing place. Great, friendly staff, clean rooms and the grounds are simply beautiful. The pool is a perfect size and only goes up to 4 1/2 foot deep; this means it's a relaxing environment without diving, splashing or major swimming happening. I highly recommend room service, poolside service and the restaurants on the grounds. You can literally park your car and not leave until you are ready to go home. Valet parking is only $5 more than self parking. March 2023: We actually did not stay here, but plan to soon. We went on the tour of the hotel and had dinner there. It's a beautiful building with a long history. The good was delicious and the service was excellent.

We hosted a business celebration in Riverside, and our local friends recommended we stay here. It was truly an experience. The architecture is fantastic and the grounds are meticulous. The service is excellent. I highly recommend taking the tour via the museum around the corner. Great history lesson coming from someone who's not a history buff. I didn't care for the view of the street from our hotel room, the sound of the trains that prevented us from sleeping in on a Sunday morning, and--most of all--the pillows that were all overly soft and resulted in a 3-day cramp in my neck.

We just went to look through the hotel, it was very beautiful inside and put, but we did not stay there. It was neat reading all the photo captions as to who had stayed with them and who got married there, we also liked the canons they had displayed outside. We had our own self guided tour, wish we could have seen in a room to see if it was old time looking or updated.

if you've never heard of the mission inn hotel in in riverside. add it to your bucket list it's a perfect place for a getaway not far from la . there's so much to do here. You need at least 2 or 3 days. we we were only here for a weekend. there's so much historical history here, and the architecture of this place is just beautiful. the presidential suites are insane. this is a pricey hotel . my only problem I personally had was the beds. they weren't comfortable, maybe it's time to upgrade them. the pool and jacuzzi were really great. we got to meet some interesting people. the food we got at the pool was ok, nothing crazy. the shrimp we got wasn't fully cooked, so I ended up food poisoned. the drinks were actually good. I got a Cadillac margarita. my girlfriend got a strawberry margarita. once we finished soaking in the pool and jacuzzi, we got ready for dinner at the hotel. we had reservations and still had to wait. so we went to the presidential lounge for a drink. finally, we got called, but I'll be honest, the food didn't wow me in any way. I think you're paying for the atmosphere. the night life out here is really nice. There are bars, restaurants everywhere, and even this underground bar across the street. i do recommend coming here it's perfect for any occasion, especially Christmas they decorate the entire hotel in lights.

Staying at this beautiful resort was a life time experience. It’s like walking around in a museum. Every inch has a character. The food and the accommodation was great. The reception staff was professional. Hanna at the front desk was attentive and helpful.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been in. It’s a mix of architecture styles that create a fantastical sense of being in another age. It gets the imagination running. It’s easy to picture a themed event taking place there. It makes me want to go to one there. There are many sections of the Mission Inn to explore, and every corner you turn takes you to a new, unexpected area. The service is superb. Everyone is smiling and quick to provide help, without hovering or making you feel too watched, or uncomfortable, if you are just wandering around. The rooms are grand! They become more and more grand the higher up you go. All of them are incredibly luxurious and decorated in bold and rich colors. I loved how the doors are unique; sticking with the mission style, and look like heavy solid oak.

If a filthy room with a toilet that won't flush and bed sheets covered in gingerbread cookie crumbs is your idea of value for money, you are at the right place! My stay started with the broken toilet being repaired. The toilet was left filthy. Housekeeping then came to "clean" the toilet with NO GLOVES are cleanser. Imagine how well they ate cleaning when you are not in the room watching. This place is done. A beautiful exterior is all they have to offer. It is really a spacious motel 6 once you get inside. I would NEVER stay here again. Pulling your comforter back for bed to find that your sheets are used and dirty with food on them, is insane in a post covid society. This place will make your skin crawl. The icing on the cake, was the poop smeared on the wall near the toilet paper holder. Does it get any better than this minty clean feeling one would get reaching for fresh TP. INSANE!!! Avoid at all cost

Ambience was stunning for dinner, food was amazing, service was great. Every room in this building was very beautiful! Parking was a bit of a hassle due to this place being in a high traffic area. The restroom in the hallway? Right outside the Mission inn restaurant was disappointing, toilet paper all over the floors as soon as you walk in & wasn't very clean for being a high end place. Other than that, it was definitely a lovely place for dinner !

I love staying here! The staff is so friendly and helpful. It makes sense because this is a cool area and very nice grounds. The mexican restaurant and bar are equally friendly and the food is excellent. Came here for a business trip but feels more like vacation

Met some friends for lunch, and we ate at the Mission Inn Restaurant. The Inn is beautiful. However, the bathroom near the restaurant, CLOSED. Front Desk, "Please use the one downstairs"... the stairs are closed off with *wet paint* signs, and the elevator isn't coming. Front Desk, "Please use these other elevators to go up a level and use those restrooms." I have a broken toe and a healing fractured ankle... I already had to walk a block (even with a handicap placard). Just to get into the property, now I have to hunt for a working, accessible bathroom 🤦‍♀️ One person in our party, the first to arrive, overheard the hostess turn away a couple because they didn't have a reservation, we don't have a reservation! they didn't turn us away. It wasn't even mentioned! It's 11:00 am on a Wednesday! The wait staff were fabulous. The food was okay, but only *okay* in relation to what you pay for it. I will say, though, the French fries were some of the BEST I've ever had! The sandwich with it fell flat.

Beautiful Beautiful Historic place!! I had my dream wedding here in April & came last night for dinner at their Mission Inn restaurant. Everything was amazing as I expected! Service is always exceptional! Staff are soo polite and very professional! Same with my wedding, everyone went above and beyond to make my day the most amazing day in my life. The rooms are beautiful and old style, fancy decor, stocked with Kelly’s Spa soaps and lotions. I truly recommend this place for anyone wanting to experience this historical place. It is huge, but every corner is beautiful!

The mission Inn Hotel & Spa is a very nice place to visit! From all the staff that help out and all the beautiful decor, it’s no doubt this place has such great reviews. However, I must have come in a bad time, with blocked off roads, very hard to find parking (Expensive too, up to $60 per vehicle), and intense traffic, it certainly made my experience a lot more difficult to enjoy. The food stands are very expensive, that’s expected, but the main attraction of the lights, is heavily disappointing. There is a huge line that circles around the front entrance of the hotel, only to find a small decorated alley. That’s it, it’s about a 2 hour wait in line just to be able to walk under the bridge of lights and to see a small decorated alley. It’s a very nicely decorated place, however there’s no need to make a huge line, you can easily see it everything from the front, unless you really want a photo at the front, make sure you get a restroom break before hand because restrooms are very hard to find. Restrooms The closest available restroom that I could find is behind the coffee bean. Instead of making line, go to the small bar next to the coffee bean and head to the back. You’ll find a door that leads to another small room, that small room connects the public bathroom to all the restaurants in connected to that building. So expect a huge line for both women and men bathrooms. I’m sure this is a wonderful place, but in my experience it’s not a great one, maybe I should come back in another time of year. November-December isn’t probably the best time to visit.

Needed a staycation alone. Perfect for me. Stayed in the hotel because it gives you an out of the world experience with pleasant food choices with the several restaurants available. Several bars. The hotel is walled in with plenty to explore inside and outdoor areas. The holiday decorations start getting put up in September and I was able to enjoy before the mad rush of December. If you live in the area don't miss out just a visit. They have docent guided tours of the historic hotel

This place is overrated. The room sounds are terrible. The people above us stomped around until 11:30 pm and then again starting at 8am. Some front desk people knew the answers to our parking questions and others were just wrong on how it all worked Parking was restricted because of the festival of lights, streets closed off, would have been nice to get an email about this so we could drive and find the lot. All luggage carts seem to be for valet parking customers. Couldn't drive up to the front doors, unload your things then go park. The parking garage has signs on it that say you need an app to pay. Tried downloading it and making an account for 20 minutes. Turns out you can just pay at the exit with a credit card. Would be nice to have that sign out front also. All this for $550.00 a night. No breakfast and $20.00 a day to park. They own the parking lot too.

Amazing place to stay or just sightseeing. We didn't stay but just walked in to take photos. Take the elevator to 3rd floor, and walk out. You will the the beautiful Spanish patio garden view. They Also have restaurant inside. You can enjoy an afternoon tea. Only street parking outside, and it's not free. About $1 dollar per hour.

Came by to visit some friends staying in the hotel. Absolutely beautiful inside and and out. The parrots at the entrance were fun and entertaining. It was really nice walking around And admiring the history and construction. The pool was fun and relaxing at the same time.

We just love this place. We are actually spending our anniversary there for several days to enjoy the surroundings of everything they have. The museum store and the tour is just beautiful. I encourage anyone to take the tour and bring a camera, just gorgeous insides those walls.😃

It was a magical night, incredible atmosphere - very special. The wait for service, our food, etc was very long. Our reservation was at 545 on Friday night and at 730 our entrees were still not served. Order drinks and appetizers ! The fresh bread was so yummy and the Festival of Lights does not disappoint. There's a "snow" show at 1030 pm and we were still there so our night had the best ending

Visited for the first time today with my family. Delightful live piano music in the lobby. Gorgeous Spanish-style architecture and courtyard. We ate at the Mission Inn restaurant and really enjoyed every bite— the Reuben was delicious; and the French fries are perfectly crisp! Can’t wait to return!

We had 1 night booked on a Sunday night so that my girlfriend could get to work in Riverside easily on Monday morning after a Sunday night concert. Sunday morning, GF was feeling sick with a cough and nausea. We are all told over and over and over: "If you're feeling sick, stay home to stop the spread." So, we cancelled the Sunday night hotel since my GF would not need it any longer due to her doing the responsible thing by staying home. Mission Inn refused to give us a refund even though we were, again, doing the responsible thing. We would have even accepted a credit for future booking, but they just flat out refused to waive their "policy" of 1 night fee for the cancellation penalty. What a bogus policy during times of COVID.... You should be ashamed.

Everything was great. I just wish the jacuzzi was a little cleaner and the jets worked. The first night they did not work and the next day only half of the jets worked. It was really nice to venture around the hotel and see all of the historical landmarks of the place. We ran into a tour that was taking place and got to jump in and hear a little about the place and the many visitors over the years.

We are regulars and the hotel was awesome especially with the Festival of Lights! All the employees we met were nice and helpful. We confirmed a 6pm dinner at the Mission Inn Restaurant and the male host Emok rudely told us to come back at 630pm because he had a lot of reservations. We came back at 6pm and the nice lady host accommodated us. Server Gerardo was great and genuinely took care of us as our entrees took 1 hour to arrive. They were delicious!

This location is a must see. Staff are usually very helpful and the grounds are clean. a lot of history. Food is fantastic in most restaurants.

Beautiful during the Festival of Lights. Great food at all of the outlets (should always have a table available for hotel guests; they don't). Classic hotel worth the visit; don't expect 21st century modern. Just classic and beautiful.

We heard a lot about Mission Inn, so our expectations were high. While the hotel has a great atmosphere and ambiance, it was just an average hotel. We could not find an ice maker, there was not a mini fridge in the room and the room, while large, was barely clean. We tried the two places to eat and the service was poor and we left before we even ordered, or even had water. The location was excellent and there are a lot of food places around there, so be advised to go out to eat. This is the only hotel we have ever stayed out where you could not hangout at the pool after we checked out. We had time to kill before we had to leave and we were flat out told no. And we had money to spend. This has never happened before. We will not be going back.

This is a beautiful historic landmark in the heart of Downtown Riverside California. The Mission Inn has plenty of dining ,beautiful architecture, and, of course, a spa. I have been at Christmas time and it is gorgeous! The views from the top are amazing. You can see all of town down and beyond. There are restaurants in the historic downtown riverside as well! There is also a museum in downtown riverside of fun historic facts and history. Check it out!

Gorgeous beyond words. Pictures don't do this place justice. It was really hot but honestly, it's riverside.. you can put up with some heat for these views. The tour was really nice. Our Docent was very sweet and knowledgeable. We reserved with a package and it was worth the extra money. The gifted spa kit and wine was a nice touch to the package. $50 dining credit per night, that was basically our breakfast bill for 2 per day. Self parking and valet is at the same place so we saved a few dollars and parked our car ourselves. If you want to know the history, take the tour! Then explore further yourselves at night. :) have fun!

The actual hotel grounds are nice looking and the service staff are great. The food is average at best. The onsite Mexican restaurant was pretty but the food was average. Having done the room service on Saturday night, it did not inspire us to want to do their Sunday brunch. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors talking and their kids screaming. The Beignet Spot down the street was amazing! Back to the hotel, the pool is great and the staff are very attentive when it comes to bringing drinks and munchies. But for the price, ($300 a night), I would rather stay somewhere else with better food. The Caesar salad was a joke and the pasta was bland with almost no sauce. Best part was hanging by the pool and having the cocktails. The staff was great. If you are going to do the spa, book ahead of time.

Beautiful hotel. Serene atmosphere, historical ambiance and beautiful landscaping. The service was first rate as was the mission inn restaurant. Comfortable, immaculate room, not too fancy, but nice. Lots to see in and around the hotel. All n all great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel with several restaurants, lots of outdoor areas, and lovely gardens. I was there for a conference, and it was the perfect place for a relatively small conference (500 ish). Food was delicious. The only reason I didn't give service 5 stars is that my room wasn't perfectly stocked with shampoo, soap, etc., but management took care of it quickly. I plan to come back for a spa and vacation weekend. I could spend a week just there on the mission grounds or in a beautiful room because there are so many places to explore, relax, and eat.

Historical Mission Inn. Grounds are nicely kept. Several restaurants on the premises as well as in the surrounding neighborhood within walking distance. Molina Coffee to the west side of hotel. Two museums to the street south of hotel. North side street of hotel has many small and medium sized restaurants.

I enjoyed my stay here! My sister and I were welcomed by an amazing hotel staff member named Alejandro who took great care of us and made us feel valued! He is a great representation on your hotel and I hope you continue to hire such great people!

This historic building is a labyrinth of surprises! The interior and exterior decor are so detailed and unique, that everything is a beautiful piece of art. The stairs direct to you so many different parts of the venue and offers a surprise in every corner. The definite "must see" parts of this building are the chapel, spiral staircases, the roof top, and the restaurant located right in the middle. There are also plenty of eateries and shops to see all around outside of this location. 10 of 10

This hotel is absolutely amazing!! The rooms are so unique and you have to really explore this place. All the flowers and lights make it so beautiful. Lots of restaurants and bars on the property and a nice pool area and spa. Love it

Awesome experience. It’s a several hour drive from my house, so it’s an overnight destination. Lots of architectural and historical significance here. A tour of the chapel is well worth it, so plan accordingly. Restaurants are great! Day spa is great! It ain’t cheap-but you get what you pay for! It didn’t give stars for location. It’s far away and I only stay at the Inn when I’m there.

I loved how everything there is feels special. Especially when you know the background! I wouldn't recommend it for young children the place is tightly kept so 7+ depending one how well behaved they are. The restaurants there have amazing food and the bar has so much to offer view wise and drink wise. Quite the experience and worth every bit of money.
