I arrived at 9pm on 5/16/2025 to check in with my 5 year old. After 25 minutes we were given our keys to head up to the room. We tried to get into the room but the keys didn’t work. We went downstairs and told the front desk who gave us new keys and we went back to the room, keys did not work again. It is now 10pm and cold. We went to the phone and called the front desk and they said they would send up someone from maintenance. After waiting another 30 minutes with no way to get into our room we decide to head inside near the front lobby to get out of the cold. We told the front desk we still could not get into the room and they acted like they could care less. It’s now 1100pm. At 1115pm I addressed the front desk and they again acted like they didn’t care. My daughter was super sleepy and a very nice bartender offered to push two seats together to for us in the presidential lounge, we said thank you but no thanks. Very nice offer however. The front desk offered a different room which was a lower option than the one i payed for but given that it was 1115pm i accepted reluctantly. Still no offer of compensation for hotel management. We went our room and the keys worked but we going the room smelling of smoke with an ozone machine running. We unplugged the ozone machine and went to sleep. We spoke with manager the next day to see if we could get into a different room and were denied. No compensation or apology. We called that night for extra face towels and were told they didn’t have any left in the whole hotel. All in all we payed $600 for two nights and don’t even enjoy the amenities. I have been coming to the Mission Inn or over 30 years and I will never go back. So sad what this place is turning into. 2 star hotel at most these days.

I took the tour this last Sunday at 3pm. It was FANTASTIC. The tour guide was so knowledgeable, there was no question he didn't know the answer to and had a great sense of humor! There was incredible art on display, and overall, it helped with understanding a bit of our own history. Plus, the food is top notch.

It is very vintage and rustic. A great place for photos if you like that foreign European architecture type of look. Although, it smells like a grandma’s house once you enter, and it is not the cleanest place to stay in.

I recently stayed at the historic Mission Inn in Riverside and loved it. The building itself is rich in history and exudes an old-world charm that transports you to another era. The intricate architecture and beautiful courtyards make it feel like you're staying in a living piece of art. The location is fantastic…within walking distance of great restaurants, lively nightlife, and the Riverside Convention Center, which was incredibly convenient since I was attending a conference there. The area also has plenty of options for large groups to gather, making it perfect for both work and leisure. The service and staff at the Mission Inn were exceptional, providing a warm and welcoming experience from start to finish. Every detail was attended to, making my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I would absolutely recommend the Mission Inn to anyone looking for a unique and memorable place to stay in Riverside!

I have stayed here before and I will say the staff at the front desk has always been amazing and great customer service. The rooms always have been amazing, The location and the views are also so amazing and perfect. I decided to have my wedding at this beautiful place, due to the customer service being a plus. Unfortunately, my experience on my wedding I will have to say that I was not happy. I went on with the day and the evening was great due to family and friends making the day memorable. The service provided at the reception was amazing!!!! The staff went above and beyond. Once again, the staff at the check-in desk was amazing as always, however certain things that were gone over in the meetings with the wedding coordinator were not met. The staff at the front desk had no knowledge of a few things, which I totally understand and that it’s not their fault because it wasn’t in the system. They were kind And they did accommodate to what was confirmed with the wedding coordinator. I totally understand that the day was a very busy day, and a lot of other events were going on in downtown Riverside and the overwhelming of guests. I did email The point of contact for weddings, and as of today, I haven’t heard back.

Lovely hotel with a lot of history. We took the 1 hour tour and it was very interesting. Celebrities and presidents have stayed there. Some have been married there. There is a beautiful chapel . 3 restaurants are in hotel. We didn't try as they were a little pricey. We opted for more casual supper at the Food Lab. We had a nice little breakfast with yummy beignets!
