A
fantastic
public
park
for
many
activities;
walking,
running,
biking,
fishing,
family
gathering
and
golf,
just
to
name
a
few.
There
are
two
large
playgrounds
on
opposite
sides
of
the
smaller
lake
(Fairmount
Lake)
which
are
great
families
with
small
children.
The
larger
lake
(Lake
Evans)
is
lined
by
magnificent
Cypress
trees
with
a
great
walking
path
that
will
take
you
around
the
entire
lake,
perfect
for
a
casual
walk
or
run.
The
Santa
Ana
River
trail
goes
through
this
park
so
you
could
park
here
and
catch
the
trail
at
this
point
if
you
wish.
Ample
picnic
tables
and
benches
throughout
the
park
provide
plenty
of
resting
and
eating
areas.
It
can
get
busy
on
the
weekends,
especially
during
the
summer
months,
with
many
events,
such
as
car
shows
and
concert
events.
You
can
rent
paddle
boats
during
the
summer
months,
located
at
the
boat
house.
Which
offers
a
great
way
to
see
the
park
from
a
different
perspective.
There
is
a
great
rose
garden
that
is
used
often
for
photo
shoots,
but
I'm
not
sure
if
a
permit
is
required
or
not.
I
visit
the
park
primarily
during
the
early
mornings
before
it
gets
crowded,
for
landscape
and
bird
photography.
A
variety
of
ducks
and
other
water
birds
are
present
year
around.
The
public
restrooms
are
not
great
but
are
available
on
either
side
of
the
park.
Overall,
a
good
open
space
in
downtown
Riverside.
