I love this park I often come here with friends or family to just take a nice stroll in nature. They're always seems to be events here sometimes there are car meets or birthday parties arranged here and I've noticed just about every Saturday in the mornings around 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. you can see Street vendors selling art sculptures or paintings nearby the Carousel Playground. Unfortunately the bathrooms do not have soap at this time and for this reason I have removed a star creating a four-star review. This park is great to do photography and take dates or host family gatherings. Keep in mind there's a lot of homeless that do live off the land in this area, they are pleasant and often keep to themselves. I appreciate the QR code with more information with more information of the planning and future development of the park. I always look forward to coming back to this park and it's great for photography anytime of the day.

Very nice park. You can ride your bike or longboard around. Perfect to just hangout and watch the birds. They have a lot of table and seats around the lake. There’s a couple places to park. The main parking lot has a kid playground and nice seating. The other area has fishing

A gem situated in the middle of the city. We moved to Riverside a year ago and have been looking for places for a quick outing, this is perfect. About 25 minutes far from my place, we had a nice walk around the lake. Beautiful day- not too cold not too warm. Surprisingly not crowded but I believe it gets too crowded on warmer days. Some people were also playing remote sail boats. I saw 2 playgrounds and my kids played at one of them, lots of fun stuff there too. We just had a perfect day

Great park with the big lake. But also one too many people fishing. I’m sure that it is great for them to be allowed to fish here, particularly with little kids. But, at the same time there are one too many people doing just that. Maybe because it was a Sunday late afternoon. I was told that when a couple were there on a Saturday afternoon, they didn’t see that many people at the park, let alone all the people fishing. Nonetheless, it is a great park to hang out and spend an afternoon with family. And it is also an awesome place to do an engagement session. I saw 3 sessions going on simultaneously across the park.

I came to Fairmount Park the other day with my friend and her cousin. It’s really beautiful here. I love the lake, the walkways, the rose garden, and the tank memorial. It’s truly an idyllic spot, perfect for picnics or a morning/afternoon walk. The rose garden is kind of romantic as well. I saw some people creating art together there. You can also easily get snacks like ice cream or shaved ice since vendors are strolling around. The vendors can be pretty expensive though — I’d recommend stopping in at the Food Lab in downtown and bringing some food to a picnic table overlooking the lake.

I have been coming to this park since I was eight years old or maybe even younger it is a very nice place to go with your family and friends. They have fishing and paddle boating, golf and even lawn bowling. They have several playgrounds for the children, and even water features during the summer for the kids to play in. They even have a rose garden which is beautiful. They have a train there which I have played on when I was eight years old. This park like every Park has gone through its ups and downs, if you live within 15 miles of this park you should definitely stop by and visit it

This park is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Riverside. It’s absolutely beautiful, has such incredible historic background, and it’s absolutely huge. You feel like you’re completely outside of the United States, and then back in here when you drive out. The area around is historically beautiful, it’s just a beautiful niche that is nestled in the heart of Riverside.

Beautiful park!! A great place to sit, relax, picnic, and play games with kids and friends. My boys love fishing and buying ice cream. The only down part is that the restrooms are dirty and there are way too many vendors… other than that… I love the events like the car show… pretty cool!

Lovely older park. I particularly love it for running. The lake in the middle stacks attracts fishing and casual walks. They could use better planning for pedestrian, runners, and cycling. Mile/kilometer signs would also be fantastic. The facility is very large, with plenty of room. There are several nice playground, but not quite enough picnic areas or restrooms. City of Riverside should really dedicate more money to upgrades and maintenance.

We absolutely love bringing the kids to Fairmount Park. The playground is huge and there are vendors walking around every weekend with fruit, water, ice cream, etc. The kids love seeing all the ducks and coots around the pond. They even like to walk around all of the trails surrounding the park and wear off energy jumping off of rocks, and climbing on anything the can get to. Even parents can have a nice day just keeping an eye on the little ones.

I drove past this park when picking up some furniture and decided to stop by on the way back. I enjoyed it immensely. A lot of socals parks arent the greatest but I enjoyed this one for all the duck and bird watching, being able to walk around the lake. The atmosphere was festive. There were a lot of food and goods stands (not sure about the occurrence of these). A solid playground for kids. Enough grass to enjoy. I spent only a little over an hour taking a walk around the lake before heading home.

This is a beautiful park. My Godson graduated so I threw him a celebration for his hard work. There was something for everyone at this park. Plenty of trees for shade, a water park for the children. It had paddle boats, and vendors from all walks of life.It was full of life and I loved it. Yes we will be coming back.

A fantastic public park for many activities; walking, running, biking, fishing, family gathering and golf, just to name a few. There are two large playgrounds on opposite sides of the smaller lake (Fairmount Lake) which are great families with small children. The larger lake (Lake Evans) is lined by magnificent Cypress trees with a great walking path that will take you around the entire lake, perfect for a casual walk or run. The Santa Ana River trail goes through this park so you could park here and catch the trail at this point if you wish. Ample picnic tables and benches throughout the park provide plenty of resting and eating areas. It can get busy on the weekends, especially during the summer months, with many events, such as car shows and concert events. You can rent paddle boats during the summer months, located at the boat house. Which offers a great way to see the park from a different perspective. There is a great rose garden that is used often for photo shoots, but I'm not sure if a permit is required or not. I visit the park primarily during the early mornings before it gets crowded, for landscape and bird photography. A variety of ducks and other water birds are present year around. The public restrooms are not great but are available on either side of the park. Overall, a good open space in downtown Riverside.

We went for a car show. There was plenty of law enforcement there in case anything were to have gone down. The way to drive in seems huge but the are they hosted the car show was kind of small. First time going and it was pretty neat. There are homeless near and the restrooms were not that clean at the end of a day. I would come back.

A beautiful and senic park!! A great place to sit, relax, picnic, and bird watch with family and friends. Lots of history and features make it a nice area for a walk as well. The Rose Garden is a neat place for pictures and adds to the area.

I dearly enjoy coming here for my routine runs or even to just walk the park with my partner.. the park is always hosting a variety of events open to public from low rider car meets to bicycle ride alongs. Also make a lot of use of the basketball courts and believe it or not even the water park area has been occupied by me after a long run in the summer.. plus I absolutely love coming here strictly to visit and order from the local vendors..

Great park! Very big and plenty of space. You can have an event or just a casuall walk at the place. The bridge and the trees are beautiful for a photo shoot. Remember, if you have trash, put it in the trash can so the park stay beautiful 🙂

We are visiting every place your dog is allowed and let me just say these pictures couldn’t do it any justice, it is so breathtaking especially at dusk. you can even pull your car up to the waters edge (please be careful). Dogs must stay on a leash and out of the water, go have a picnic there!

I love this park, we have been going here for years. That being said, the playgrounds could use a boost. Maybe add more stuff? They host a lot of events, so you can usually find something going on. There is also a rose garden away from the playgrounds that a lot of people go to and take pictures for events such as prims, weddings, etc

This place is huge! There is a playground, lake, train...doesn't work but it's still cool to look at. Plenty of shade, squirrels, cute squirrels. The bathrooms are decent. If you end up needing to pass some time I highly recommend visiting.

This park is gorgeous. We loved walking around and exploring. I did see some people feeding bread to the ducks- please do NOT do this- not only does it pollute the water but it’s also very unhealthy for the ducks- if you want to feed the ducks please feed them nuts, cracked corn, lettuce, and peas.

This is a pretty neat park. To big play structures / areas for kids. Lots of grassy areas with picnic tables. A few covered areas. 2 small lakes. Ducks and geese, you can feed. this parking get very busy. On the weekends there's vendors that set up tables selling things in the summer. They sell balls for the kids water guns all sorts of different nicknames There's a water area for the kids to play in. They even have people giving little pony rides. There's vendors walking around selling food. This is most Lil in the front park area. The back doesn't have all the vendors, but it's still a nice area. There's also an amphitheater in the back.

This is such a great and big park. I remember coming here when I was little with my parents and brother. We always had so much fun. Now as an adult me and my husband bring our lowrider for the lowrider shows. Making great memories with the kids while enjoying seeing all the cars 😎

The parking situation was a bit difficult, depending on where your group is gathered. Overall, quite nice -- spacious layout, tons of vendors, multiple play areas, lots of rentable gazebos (not all have BBQs), tons to do.

Has all the amenities that you would expect at a family orientated city park. Has two playgrounds, a lake where you can rent boats, go fishing, and enjoy the water park as well. Has a carousel kids park and several parking areas for vehicles and campers or trailers. This is a fairly large park, the largest park in the city.

It's a decent park. They stock the lake periodically so you can go fishing. There are plenty of barbecue pits, benches and grass area for picnics . A few attractions like an old tank and a small rose garden and a few gazebos. It's got a couple of playgrounds and an auditorium for outside concerts and lots of parking. You can rent a paddle boat and feed the ducks or swans. It's also good for a nice run or walk with friends and family. There are a few people walking around selling things depending on the type of year and if you're lucky you'll catch an ice cream vendor.

I go fishing for catfish here at least 4 times a week and I can tell you, from experience, this is not the easiest lake to fish... In fact it's quite the opposite. If you're planning on coming here for your first time expecting to catch a couple channel cats on some dough bait or some large mouth bass on just any lure, you're gonna have a terrible time. It took weeks till I was able to pull anything out of here, but once I did I was hooked because there's some big ones in there, you just gotta know where to find em. I'll post some pics of the two channel cats I caught last night, a 5 lbs and a 5.25 lbs.

This is the best park in the IE. It has a huge lake for fishing and bird watching. It has a rose garden, tennis courts, multiple play areas for kids, a water fountain play area for kids, and has an entrance to a huge bike trail that runs parallel to the Santa Ana River. The only drawback is that maintenance seems a bit lax, the children play area can definitely be cleaner.

Nice place to check out during the day. Difficult to park in any shady spots. Finally found a spot close to the water and it wreaked of pot from other parked cars. Time to go. Lots of people not socially distancing with their kids on the weekend.

A nice park to walk around but keep your eyes open. City is trying to clean up homeless but there are still quite a few visible encampments and shady looking people in the early morning and evening. Nice rose garden and picturesque lake with fishing and the occasional tiny sail boat sailing along.
