This was our first time eating at Rack City Rivz, llc. A Blacked owned business. God is good!!Y'all know we we from Memphis, TN where the Bar B Que and Soul Food will literally make you slap your mama!! Lol... Im just playin....The Ribz was Fire!!! Smoky and Tender! This is a food truck so you can also sit down at the outside tables and eat or like us we ate in the car, When it comes to food, there is no color. People from all walks of life patronize this business! It 3:30pm was around we missed out on the Brisket, people were linking up! We got the Rib plate with 2 sides, Cole slaw, Mac n cheese, and greens, peach cobbler and because the corn bread pudding was almost gone The host threw it in for free so we could sample it! We slso got a sweet tea and lemonade to drink. THESE guys mean business. You can smell the aroma in the air. You can see one of the guys cutting the meat up on the food truck. We sat in the car so long one of the guys checked on us! Such a friendly atmosphere!! You can also buy barbecue sauce in a bottle to take home. I was told that this business was started by retired policemen and that their children are now running the business. Support them and yall show them some love ❤️

This was my first time ordering and my food arrived very quickly. The food was nice and and hot and very fresh. I only have one thing to say about the greens/cabbage mixture (lighten up on the sugar). I recommend this restaurant and plan on visiting to place another order very soon.

Awesome BBQ. Super moist, amazing rub, and BBQ sauce. Collards are well seasoned. Baked beans and potato salad were great. It's worthwhile for a visit!!!

My first time visiting and they did not disappoint. I met the owner and staff, and everyone was very polite and professional. The meats had that smoke flavor, which is so good, and the sides,, speechless!! Highly recommend the meat mayhem if you have 2 or more folks to feed. They also have specials, and the day I went it was the BBQ meat tacos. Great concept and something different. If you’re in the Gibsonton area, this place is a MUST to try!!

Great place. Wasn't disappointed at all. The ribs are in the top 2 best ribs of any food truck or restaurant I've had ribs at. The brisket was 🔥 too. I also had the pulled pork which was great. This is that Q that doesn't need the sauce. I hate when I order BBQ and all I taste is smoked meat- no flavor. Most definitely not the case here. You can taste their rub/seasoning. The peach cobbler was 🔥 as well. I went with my other foodie friends and not one of us was disappointed in our decision to try this place. Pricing and the portion size were on par. We'll most definitely be back. I didn't get any of the Mac&cheese but my bros mentioned that it was good enough to get more and none of us are big on mac&cheese.

BBQ is my jam and Rack City Ribz is the DJ. In addition to the flavor, the pull pork was the most tender I can remember eating. Also, the potato salad & corn bread casserole was top notch. Thank you for a great lunch!

Stopped by last night, almost closing time. Ordered full slab of ribs, some pork, sausage, and Mac and cheese. Gentlemen working were very nice and brought our food out to us when it was ready. Ribs were juicy and perfectly smoked. Mac and cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had. Tried every BBQ sauce cause they were nice enough to include all of them as it was our first time. Going back soon to try everything else.

After driving by a number of food trucks we decided for lunch on Saturday we'd give one of them a try, and ended up going to Rack City. Because it is on the side of a fast and busy highway it can be easy to miss, so just keep your eyes peeled and slow down as to not cause any accidents when turning in. There's no parking lot specifically for this truck, so you're just using the trailer supply or bait/tire shop lots. However this also means that parking isn't always available; e.g. there were cars waiting for spots while we were waiting on our food (more on the wait in a bit). When we arrived there was one couple who already ordered and was waiting on their food, and two other groups in line. Ordering was straightforward from the menu and they give you any drinks you ordered right after you pay. While ordering they also offer you one of their BBQ sauces that come in a ~2oz container. They offered us Sweet, Spicy, and Vinegar. We both asked for a spicy. Though I wish they gave more than one container each because it was so good. After ordering we stepped away from the truck to give room for other customers. They have an open area/kitchen for the smoker so you can see the chef cutting the meats and building orders. Everything smelled great! Things to note before I move onto the food: • The staff doesn't wear masks. • The staff doesn't offer hand sanitizer. • They don't take any of the other COVID safety precautions. So if this is something that you are not comfortable with, then maybe wait until you're vaccinated or etc. You are outside at all times though and the truck the staff is in is *VERY* well ventilated. Regardless, I know many people who would be uncomfortable with this so, to each their own, and now you know how this place operates. Now onto the food.... From the time of getting in line to getting our food was a good 30+ minutes. Not that long, however does feel longer in the Florida afternoon sun. We ordered the rib dinner plate ($14) and added brisket ($8). Got the coleslaw and BBQ beans as the sides, and added on an 8oz mac and cheese ($6). The ribs were absolutely DELICIOUS, especially with the BBQ sauce added. Great texture and pull. The brisket was perfect, with the fat completely rendered, and the meat so juicy. My mouth is salivating now remembering it... We've only tried a handful of BBQ spots in the area so far; e.g. Johnson's, but in my personal opinion, this spot is far better than any of the other ones. As I continue my food journey around the area, we'll see how this spot holds up in comparison. In the meantime, I'll be visiting this truck whenever I have a BBQ craving. They're going to be a tough one to beat.

We ordered ribs and chicken for my daughters birthday party 5/24. The owner delivered our food to our home which I thought was very considerate. I couldn’t resist so I tried one of the ribs and when I tell you the ribs was so juicy, Full of flavorful meat that fell off the bones. I was hooked!!! The chicken was delicious as well. The owner followed up with us to make sure all went well. I loved the hospitality of this business and to top it off the food is AMAZING. This will be my new BBQ spot from here on out.

4.75/5 Amazing brisket, Mac n cheese, and absolutely delicious ox tail (certain Saturday's only). One of the best overall spots to get BBQ in Riverview. The BBQ here is fire. The ribs are really good. The chicken is very juicy and tender, but could be a little more charred. Still pretty good though. The cornbread casserole is pretty decent, but not to die for. It's moist though! The BBQ sauces imo need to be more different from each other. The mild, regular, and hot are too similar but they're all delicious. The vinegar sauce is not my cup of tea but it's good in mild amounts. I have confidence that if anyone likes BBQ, there's something to enjoy here (except fish, which is fine). The Ox Tail though... Is AMAZING

I have had a lot of barbecue in my life and by far this is the best I have ever had! I had them cater my office today and we were all blown away at the unbelievable taste of their food. The corn bread casserole is to die for. Had ribs , chicken, pulled pork and the sausage was incredible. Don’t wast your time with anyone else. These guys have cornered the market with the best barbecue in Tampa Bay! Thank you Alex and Lisa!!!

The ribs were huge but I prefer small ends. They were still tasty nonetheless. Macaroni & cheese and peach cobbler slightly underwelming but the bake beans was great and so was the customer service. **Update** I am updating this post to 5 stars due to the response by the owner which demonstrates the superb customer service I mentioned above. My statement on the 2 sides were just my personal opinion. Unfortunately you cant please everyone bcuz what one person may not like the next person might love. But you can't beat there service and I would highly recommend anyone to try them out for yourself. And now I know certain cuts can be requested. Thanks guys

(7/19/20 visit) Got the chicken dinner w/ cornbread casserole + mac n cheese. Chicken was savory, well seasoned and the bbq complemented it well. The mac n cheese was perfectly cheesy and seasoned great as well. The cornbread casserole was slightly sweet, but overall good. No complaints. Friendly service. Will be back to try other menu items.

First time my girlfriend and I tried their food and everything was AMAZING. We ordered ribs, brisket, coleslaw, cornbread and peach cobbler. The meat was extremely tender and the brisket was juicy! The sides were amazing and everything was great even after reheating! Definitely will be back and wouldn't hesitate to try anything on their menu!

Rainy Sunday afternoon, my niece had a sudden urge for beef ribs. They didn’t have ribs but the brisket was excellent and hit the spot! She declared the brisket much better than seaworld’s 🤦🏾‍♀️😄. The mac and cheese was super yum 😋 but the service and gorgeous smiles 🤩 are what will have me a repeat customer. Don’t believe me?! See for yourself. Well done gentlemen! I’ll be back!

If you want BBQ you have to visit. My mom is very particular about greens. A lot of places have disappointed her but she enjoyed the ones here and that’s saying something. Definitely frequenting after today

Honestly, their food has no business being as good as it is. My wife said it's the best BBQ she's had outside of South Carolina. We would give 6 stars if we could. See y'all again soon.

OUTSTANDING food. Best ribs and pork in the area by far. Haven't tried their chicken yet, but I know it will be excellent. Very personable staff and they offer to bring you the food to your vehicle. Our favorite ribs place. A++

The ribs were tender and smoked perfectly! They were out of mac & cheese, but I’m sure it’s because it’s so popular. Will have to return another time to try it. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, but that’s just personal preference. I also don’t care much for peach cobbler, but theirs was good.

This is the best rib place I've been to since moving to the Tampa area 3 years ago. You have to try their "special" Mac & Cheese... It's unlike any other out there!

We had a Christmas luncheon for 30 staff members. Rack City Ribz delivered our food hot and ready to go. We had ribs, smoked chicken, shredded pork, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, greens and potato salad and everything was delicious. There was so much food. We had a luncheon again the next day! This was my first time eating food from this business but I will be eating it again!

I've been meaning to come here and finally visited. This won't be the last time I come. Some of the best BBQ I've had in general. I got a combo platter and everything was on point from the chicken to the suasage, brisket & ribs. Moist, flavorful. Amazing. They give you sauce with your serving but the meat was cooked so well that I didn't really need it, although the sauce is also amazing. BBQ beans didn't disappoint. Highly recommend driving out to try!

Overall experience was a great experience though I wasn’t a huge fan of the smoked oxtails and peach cobbler for $25 for the dinner I really expected to be 😩 the ribs were fire will definitely go back for the ribs!

I'm from Texas and we're serious about our BBQ. This place is the best BBQ I've ever had. I recommend the chicken, sausage, ribs, and brisket. Everything was amazing.

Okay don't shoot the messenger. I'm just giving a review. The ribs and the sausage and the potato salad is absolutely phenomenal! That's all that was available when we got there. The owner threw in double Peach cobbler. The peach cobbler was absolutely horrendous. I don't know if those are biscuits that's being used in the peach cobbler, no ma'am no sir. The cornbread souffle if it was not dry would be absolutely phenomenal! The barbecue sauce, if you mix the sweet barbecue sauce with the mustard barbecue sauce absolutely phenomenal. I'm only giving them a three because that peach cobbler was terrible. Very dry no taste no flavor. And that cornbread souffle was absolutely dry. Other than that if those two items were on point and maybe if I didn't get the last of what they had I would give them 6 stars!! I'm going back tho!

Mannnnn this place is fire 🔥!! The seasoning is banging and as others have said, you don’t NEED any sauce at all. Their sauces are great, my fave is the Sweet Mustard. We had Mac N Cheese, Peach Cobbler and Potato Salad, all 10/10. I tried other BBQ places in Florida, this is only one I’m a raving about.

Great spot, the Brisket was so tasteful from the first to last bite. The cornbread casserole was made to perfection and perfectly paired with the Jalapeño Brisket Mac N Chz. Highly recommended!

I had the St Louis ribs or ribz. They were perfect I mixed their vinegar and sweet sauces. All I can say is Wow!!! I also had the corn bread casserole and bake beans. I highly recommend. I will definitely eat hear again.

They should be ashamed to sell the portions of food for the price they charge. My 3 year old needed more from there bowl. You want great BBQ with a healthy portion for the right price. Go to Trust Me BBQ on 301 in Riverview. You will forever be changed on BBQ food n portions.

Wow, I am a big fan of BBQ food. How Rack City Ribz has these reviews is beyond me..Stopped today for some food and I'm not pleased at all.. Not a good size portion for the price and not at all the mouth watering taste I was expecting to experience. His non stop talking is what probably has people off there game about BBQ food.

Went here today on 7/30/2020. Chileeeee. When I tell you these ribs are sooo good!! The baked beans and greens w/cabbage was hittin' too!! The meat falls off the bone!! I been looking for a BBQ place since I moved here to Gibsonton for over two years and this one here will be my go to!! The owner was very handsome, friendly and eager to tell me about each selection. Will return back again rain or shine 😂.

Tried the ST. Louis ribs dinner with mac n cheese, cornbread casserole, shrimp gumbo and peach cobbler. It was hands down the best barbecue that me and my family have ever tasted. Alex and the guys that work on the truck were very nice. My wife was so impressed that she did a review of Rack City Ribs in a local Restaurant Facebook group that has over 15,000 thousand people in it. I can't wait to try the other dishes!
