I was disappointed by the lack of sushi roll variety they had despite seeing so many pictures online. Their online menu is very clunky and long, the paper version doesn’t have half the stuff the online does. The sushi itself was just okay as well, kinda fishy and basic. Service was fine.

We came to Cafe Asia on the recommendation of a friend who called it " the best Asian food you will have in your life." After eating there, I have to agree. The delicious smells enticed us as soon as we sat down. Everything we ordered was incredible. The decor is also unique and beautiful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and friendly. It was truly a five star experience! We will be back!

Always a great experience! Coworker and myself went for lunch on a Wednesday. Had the choice of bar seating or a table. Service was excellent and quick. Was able to get in and out in less than 40 mins!

Went for my birthday with a few friends of mine. First issue we came across was the prices. The portion sizes compared to the prices were crazy to all of us. Secondly, and the main reason I am writing this review is due to the manager lady being blatantly disrespectful to me. I have celebrated my birthday at this establishment for the past 3 years. I have always brought my own cake when doing so. I have never had an issue with this. I even called the first time I did so. Something changed in someone's mind today however. The lady walked over to my table when I have a cake with candles on it. And right before we were about to sing, she told me that I either need to put the cake away or leave. I was shocked by this because it caught the attention of everyone in the room we were seated in. It was not only embarrassing to myself and my group but just straight up rude. And yes, I get it; their restaurant, their rules. All for that but that doesn't mean I can't write a review expressing the morality of a manager. I can understand a bottled drink or something but I was trying to have a good time with my friends and celebrate the occasion. Will definitely not be returning. I still am asking myself what she wanted to come from this interaction? Did she expect us to buy their overpriced dessert? Because that certainly wasn't going to happen. Thankfully, the wonderful ice-cream shop across the street, Katies; allowed us to finish our celebration. The rest of the night was fun and full of laughter. I really hate that this woman went out of her way to attempt to ruin our evening. I have one thing to say to the owners; please do better with the next group.

We've been dining at Café Asia 2 since they opened several years ago. Their food is always top-notch, their public facilities are always kept clean and organized (dining rooms & restrooms). The service is excellent. The staff are well-trained, knowledgeable and personable. They have a large selection of Asian food, and everything is always delicious. Keep in mind, this place does a lot of business for a small café. It's *always* busy, which is a good thing. It can be crowded at times, but they make it work. Expect a small wait during the dinner rush, but they turn over tables and seat parties efficiently. It's very well-operated, from the management down. The owners know what they're doing. They have the best Asian cuisine in southwest Roanoke County.

Tried this place on the advice of a friend. Now considering making them pay me back almost $80 for this experience. My wife's szechuan chicken was leaking oil and tasted of very little but sugar. My General Tso's chicken was just wet. There was literal standing liquid in the takeout container, and no it wasn't sauce, just an oily brownish water consistency that continued to leak out of the food after plating (picture included). This made the breading all soft but honestly texture couldn't save this because the chicken itself was basically flavorless, all tough and stringy. The steamed rice was good, nice consistency, only highlight. Nothing else to say. I learned a valuable lesson, will stick with my neighborhood chinese place with almost twice the food for half the price.

When the waiter came over, they brought warm towels to the table. Was highly recommended the elevated general tso’s chicken. It did not disappoint. This is the peak American-Chinese dining experience, I highly recommend it. And so grateful for such awesome service by Evan.

If yesterday was any indication, the food here is first rate. We tried various dishes and everyone was so good! The atmosphere is unexpected but very pleasant and appropriate for an Asian restaurant. Our server, Reagan, is friendly and right on time. She was also helpful in helping us select our meals. Overall, this is a great place for an enjoyable dining experience and we will make it a regular stop.

Female owner/Manager very unprofessional. Shrimp in summer roll tasted off in one of the apps we got and she said it was made fresh and she tasted it and it was fine. I’ve eaten shrimp almost my entire life and have also been eating at this location for years because I like their version. I don’t like throwing up or diarrhea and have worked in a restaurant environment for over a decade prior. Disrespectful and unprofessional, don’t worry, we will not return and I’ll be sure to let everyone know how well you handle your business in front of guests and employees. Also, they charge a ridiculous amount for extra sauce $2 for yum yum sauce?

I’m really surprised I haven’t left a review here yet. Cafe Asia never misses —always a 10/10. The owner, Feng Cheng, runs a very tight ship & once told me his world traveling inspired the menu, specifically the sushi options. I’ve recommended CA2 to several friends and it always becomes a top favorite of theirs. Get the Volcano Roll if you like cooked sushi, or the Golden Dragon.

This is my go to place for Asian food in Roanoke. Not once have I been disappointed, from the usually common General Tso's being elevated to an inspired dish to the not so common sushi offerings. Stop in or order online for delivery or pick up. You won't be disappointed!

I had wanted to try their food for awhile, but the prices scared me. I have to say that it is worth a splurge every now and then! The food was incredible, the service was amazing, it was a dining experience, not just going out to eat. Dino was the best server I've ever had! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Sushi is good here and Evan was a great server. The temperature of hot items was inconsistent, even when they came on the same plate. The party room is intimate but has no windows and feels a bit claustrophobic. The food is good though and that's the point.

We're new to the area so we wanted to try out different Asian restaurants. This one has a great variety of food that is very tasty and well presented. Our server Ethan (I believe that was his name) was very attentive and gave us information on the level of food spiciness. Our 6 year old wanted to try eating with chopsticks and he provided him with kids learning set. Also, my son ate almost all of his Lo Mein which is amazing for someone so picky 🤣 Our Drunken noodles were delicious. We'll definitely try out different dishes next time.

Sushi was good. Had the spicy tuna, salmon cucumber and volcano roll. Biggest annoyance and reason I’m likely not to return, is the fact that they wanted to charge us over $4 for 2 yum yum sauce/spicy mayo sauces. 🫠🧐 No, thanks.

love this place. food is great, kind staff, never had to wait long for my food. Most of the portions are decent. My fav is the pad thai and thai seafood rice. My only suggestion is that they include more Yum Yum sauce when you order a side of it. One little container is two dollars and they fill it up about 3/4 of the way but still yummy!

Amazing Food. Lovely atmosphere. Would suggest Singapore Rice Noodles, Plum Wine and mango sticky rice pudding, Mochis and Red Bean Ice cream. Flour is little slippery on shoes. Watch out.

With not too many Asian restaurants around Roanoke, this place will satisfy a hankering for many dishes. I got the Drunken Noodle while my husband got the Orange Chicken with a Blue Hawaii. We also ordered the Lamb Yaki as an app and it was aromatic and flavorful. The Blue Hawaii drink was made perfectly as well. As proof to how popular this restaurant is, while we dined I saw at least 20 different take out orders go out. I've ordered Pad Thai from this place as takeout and definitely would again. The sushi felt a bit overpriced, but once we tasted a roll you can tell the quality of the ingredients and it is definitely top of my list to come back for sushi.

One of my all time favorite places to go! The service is on point, the food is even better, and the place itself is just gorgeous. Would rate higher if I could!

Cafe Asia 2: where the sushi is on a roll, and so are you on their slippery floors! 🍣😅 Embrace the challenge of a sushi slide with every step. It's like a taste bud tango followed by a dance-off with gravity. Sushi rating: A+. Floor grip: Not so much. 🕺

Very clean. Waiter was efficient, if a little cavalier. Tea and both food orders were only barely lukewarm — but tasted great. We had chicken and cashews and chicken and broccoli. Good sized portions with steamed or fried rice. For dessert, we split Irish cheesecake. This was excellent — if pricey at more than $11 per slice. Totally worth it! Chocolate Orio crust, cheesecake, topped with chocolate icy goo, and chocolate drizzle. This description does not do it justice! Really yummy. All-in-all a good experience. Comments from friends lead me to think that the tasty food is usual, the cool temperature is not. So we will try again.
