Edit: Well it's evident that new has worn off. Been to this place twice more, ordered the same pizza, and it's no where near as loaded down as it was initially. Now it's super thin and the same price. That's a shame, thought I had "go to" place for pizza in Roanoke. Original review: and I found our favorite pizza in Roanoke. We got the cheesesteak roll and the 4 cheese pizza (added pepperoni) and they were both delicious. The food along with friendly service made for a great dinner. Roanoke, show this place some love!

Very pleasing atmosphere and great selection of food beyond just serving pizza. I had the meat lovers calzone. Ordered a small one just for myself, but it was still a decent size stuffed with a lot of meat and cheese. The dipping sauce made it 100%. Glad to have stopped in and met the owner, Mo. Very nice guy. Will be going back to try other items on the menu (burgers, pasta, deserts, etc.).

Everything was delicious! I will be getting the lasagna next time. I had the chicken basil roll.

This is my third time at Basil’s and every time I am here it is such a great experience! Customer Service is top notch! Food is incredible! From the live basil plants in and out of the building to the dining room the atmosphere is clean and accommodating. I have a disability and a large family and every time we are here, customer service never treats us poorly because of it. They always accommodate our needs. This food is wow! I have four boys and their favorite pizza is the Alfredo pasta pizza. Ours is the margarita but they have so many options! Not to mention this is one of the few places in Roanoke that has fresh basil on their pizza! Their steak and cheese sub is so gooey and the baked bread is incredible. Even their French fries are above average seasoned well and crispy. The tea is never sour and if you aren’t in the mood for pizza calizones and Stromboli, they have Mediterranean and pastas too! I’m convinced this is my new favorite place here in Roanoke! The friendly service itself was enough to keep us but this place does everything right! They even have a drive thru if you are in a hurry!! Just so thankful they are here and hope they never change! Enjoy!!

The calzone and cheese sticks are to die for. The salads are packed full and the pizza is fantastic. The staff is outstanding and all around amazing experience 10/10 will be back

service was wonderful!! Monica was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond!! Calamari was good not over cooked... Fried mushrooms were golden brown and light....A+ Cheese steak was flavorful... Deluxe calzone stole the show!!!!! The crush was Excellent!! The ingredients are fresh and wonderful.... A+ This establishment is a wonderful place to grab a bite to eat!!! Give it a try and you'll agree....

We had a cheese calzone with spinach added, it was fantastic, the fries are pretty good for a pizza place, the onion rings could've been cooked more. Service was perfect and charismatic, to say the least. Worth trying if you're curious, however the price tag is a little high, so pick the right occasion!

I spoke with Ted when I called in to place an order for carry out. It was a busy Friday night, and the phone kept ringing in the background, and he politely had me hold for a few seconds, and came back to take my order. You could hear it was chaotic, but he handled it in the most professional manner. When I came to pick up the food, the same politeness and professionalism was in person. THEN, when I brought the food home, it was EXCEPTIONAL! By far, hands-down, the best Italian cuisine I’ve had in Roanoke, Virginia since living here for almost 6 years.
