Order confirmed via Slice and received a message shortly after that the pickup time was moved out a little further due to high volume. No worries, it's a Sunday night and the pizza is supposed to be good. Arrived at Emil... People often mention pizza, order, cheese, sandwich, time, good, calzone,

Moved to SE not long ago and finally go a chance to order pizza from Emilio's. Order confirmed via Slice and received a message shortly after that the pickup time was moved out a little further due to high volume. No worries, it's a Sunday night and the pizza is supposed to be good. Arrived at Emilio's an hour after ordering and they initially couldn't find the order. Then, after repeating the name and app several times, they found the order in the system and advised it would be 15-20 minutes because they hadn't started preparing it yet. I was told it was due to Doordash having 2 orders pending (not sure how that relates to Slice) and that my order would not have been fresh anyway when I arrived (no idea here either). I advised that the app gave me the estimated and updated pickup times and the man at Emilio's told me that normally they have to confirm the order so he's not sure what happened. When I advised it was confirmed an hour prior, he simply asked what the pizza toppings were so he could make the pizza. At that point, I just decided to cancel. He became frustrated and said it would only be 20 more minutes. Look, had at any point other than when I was opening the door to leave, one of 3 people working had just said, "Hey, we're slammed and we confirmed the order and then forgot about it. So sorry. We'll have it ready in 15-20 minutes," I would have just waited. When you blame everyone else and treat your customer like I'm an inconvenience, I'm not going to pay you to feed me. Pizza is one of our favorites and we eat it often. We live less than 5 minutes from Emilio's. And we will never be eating Emilio's pizza. (Due to the wait but now also by choice.)

I order an Italian, it had boiled ham, cheese, some onions, and jalapeños. I’ve never had a sandwich from that part of Italy I guess

Ordered cheese steaks and a chicken cheese steak through door dash. Per the restaurant they do not allow special instructions, you must call them which is fine. Got my wife to call immediately after I placed the order to let them know that on the chicken cheese sandwich, please NO lettuce or tomato, just chicken and cheese, the lady on the phone said that's fine. After I received my order, first think I notice was sandwich packed with lettuce and tomato. Not only that, but sandwich clearly is missing cheese on half of the sub and I specifically paid for extra cheese (1.50 extra). Wife called back, got the same lady and when to told her the issue lady immediately said it's our fault because we asked for lettuce and tomatoes which was obviously not the case. Then we mentioned the cheese said said it was because the sandwich got tipped. Can someone explain how cheese can "tip" from one side of a sandwich to the other? Wouldn't be a problem if this wasn't the second time I've had a issue with a order.

I've been getting the Buy One Get One Free Giant Pizza deal for YEARS for 21.55. I call today and apparently the prices don't reflect their website menu anymore (21.55). Nor the menu in their store. Sounds super shady and I won't be back.

Food good, subs hot, not soggy, aren't stingy with ingredients. . Salad a bit to expensive & was different price than menu for some reason. Recommend.

We ordered two pizzas and a calzone. The pizzas were good; my daughter and I enjoyed them. Unfortunately, my husband’s calzone was not. The steak he ordered on it was raw in places, some pieces of the calzone had just green peppers and onions; it was haphazardly made. It made him sick for nearly a week, even though he couldn’t eat the entire dish.

Got some takeout calzones. The place isn't fancy but food and service were superb.

Idc what others say, these guys have the best meatball sub in town. The way the meatballs are cooked, the spices and the garlic butter on the toasted bread. Not to mention under 10 $ for 13 inch subs which one will last me for 2 days. Love this place.

Food was okay. Disappointed to find the steak was not traditionally prepared but rather just full fluxes of meat stacked together. Flavor was okay. Pizza was okay, just typically Italian pizza you find in this area.

I won't be ordering from here again. Instead of sprinklinga little bit of oregano around the entire pizza, they throw a handful in the center and call it a day. Also got a cheeseburger for my 3 year old and there was so much pepper on it you could see it. Don't waste your money here. Icing on the cake is the guy behind the counter is really rude.

Can't beat the value 😅 f the buy one get one free deal. Staff is cool and friendly, not the fastest. Just have to fend off the zombies in the parking lot lol

Food was great, service was great, staff was extra courteous! However, the location is surrounded by panhandlers and homeless...you can't pick up food without being bombarded for money.

Always amazing pizza. The first time the wife has had it and we ate pretty much the same amount 😂 the kid also liked it which is a task since he’s picky with pizza. Poor girl was working herself to the bone tonight but still pulled it off well. Good job ma’am. Great value with great pizza!

I ordered a calzone and the price was $10.30 and the white blond haired man said it was $12.30 so I paid him and him give me change for the $12.30.I asked for a receipt and it said $10.30+.88 tax =$11.18 which was right.I asked for the proper change and it was corrected. I thought it strange to be told a different amount on a one item order. The calzone was delicious and all the ingredients are very fresh and in my opinion is the best calzone in town.

It was terrible. Odered ahead and of course the order was wrong. Had to wait 15 minutes. The pizza looked nothing like the photo on the site. 16 inch sub wasn't cut and was soggy. Igave this 5 star's because the low ratings goes to the bottom of the pile. I won't be returning. Suuuuucked !!!!

As always Emilios Delivered on time and what I ordered. Just one mistake and I know Jessica and the owners will make it right. I have been eating here for many years and have never had an issue like some of these comments I see on here and to be honest I don't believe them. Do they have the best sandwich in Roanoke NO they don't. But I will tell you this they aren't trying to highway robbery you on prices and delivery like many other places I know local here in Roanoke. for the price on one full size sub you can eat for two days. Keep up the good work you all. And thank you for supporting the community
