This park has so much going on. An ice rink, an outdoor amphitheater, an herb garden, interesting rock formations, art, nice walkways....

Great park for entertainment, venues and vendors. Once the parking lot for the park is full you will have to park on the street, which is free after five and on the weekend, And might have to walk a little.

I really enjoyed my first time at Elmwood Park for a concert with Little River Band and Air Supply. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house and the sound Acoustics is amazing. Great viewing from all seats. The only suggestion I have is having more than one food truck, I waited in line an hour to get a chicken sandwich.

Spent about 45 minutes there on a Saturday morning. Nice but more people there at 9 AM than I expected. It's more like a nice office place than a park. Free parking from Friday at 5PM to Sunday night. My dog likes this park more than me.

I took a walk with my dog the other day here and it was so cool to see the artwork! Clean, quiet, great experience! I’m glad Roanoke has this! Wish we had even more stuff like this here.

This park has a nice plot of land with lots of green and activities to do. there are sometimes concerts and other events held in this area that we could go to if we wanted to have some fun within the area. overall clean park and would come again

Love outdoor events like India Festival we just attended here. Parking across the road is not great for families like ours requiring handicap access. A little investment will ho a long way.

Elmwood Park is nice. The amphitheater seating is nice because it assures all can see the stage. But the concrete seating is extremely hard. For the sake of your derriére, please bring a seat cushion! There is a new security procedure about the size of your bag you can bring during an event. Check out the website before going for do's and don'ts. Otherwise it could be a long walk back to the car. 😉

Great venue. A little strict on what can be brought in (no umbrellas, as we were even having a slight shower while waiting to go into the park). Overall friendly staff. More food choices would be nice. Rock 'n Roll Diner is great, but really expensive when there is no competition, plus the lines!!

Saw the Wallflowers here. Will NOT be the last time I see shows here. Seating is comfortable and you are able to walk upto the stage at anytime to get a close experience.. Loads of food trucks, and bathrooms. Very nice and welcoming.. Great job.. We'll be back.

Always a great venue. The stage and seating are wonderful. Views of the downtown buildings and the mountains give everyone a good feeling.

Went to a concert and had to wait 30 minutes just to get in when they said we can get in at 4:30 p.m. We didn't even get in till 5:00 p.m. Then the band didn't perform until an hour and a half later and only performed for an hour. We weren't even allowed to bring chairs in and if you had a bag it couldn't be bigger than 10 X 4 inches. It wasn't one of the better experiences I've had at Elmwood Park but Elmwood Park is a nice venue.

I have attended concerts at Elmwood Park as well as strolled through just walking downtown. Such a beautiful place. The design of the amphitheater is terrific and the hillside in front of the stage is ideal for bringing a blanket and lying on the grass while listening to a great band. There is plenty of parking. There is street parking on all sides of the block where Elmwood Park is located. There is a parking lot directly across the street. And there is also a parking structure directly across the street, next to the parking lot. **Note to anyone parking in the parking structure to attend a concert. ** In order to make pulling out into exciting traffic after the show has ended much easier and prevent a backup of cars winding all the way to the top floor of the structure, when parking, PLEASE BACK YOUR VEHICLE INTO YOUR PARKING SPACE!!! Trust me on this one! The new pay for parking system requires you to pay through an app that you download on your mobile phone. So no more stuffing one dollar bills through a tiny slot in a metal box in the parking lot, or losing your ticket that you need to exit the structure!

Fantastic park in Roanoke. Love the sculpture walk, the gardens. Easy to find parking on the street (just use parking pay machine to enter your license plate and how long you want to park). We definitely need less than an hour to see the park and walk around. So, we entered one hour. It’s free. Because first hour is free. But, still you need to use the parking machine to enter your car’s license plate number and get a parking permit printed out. Once you have the permit, you can put it on the dashboard or you don’t have to. The city has your car’s parking permit and time stamp.

Having to set on concrete or grass is for the birds! As far as the venue it was nice, I think the city should invest a little more and put real seats in. Just my opinion

Not too bad all shows that have distractions such as car show Is live entertainment playing rides for the children You're not gonna do that well as you would in a show that strictly artists and crafters for the simple fact

We loved Elmwood Park. In spite of the lousy weather and most vendors leaving early, event organizers worked very hard to keep the festival on track. Staff kept us informed as to policy changes regarding umbrellas, and we enjoyed our VIP seats (that we purchased) before the show, but went down near the stage before the closing show. The Sessions band was very good, and our favorite, 1964 The Tribute put on an amazing show as always. Because of the cold and rainy weather, crowd size was smaller, and we were able to park across the street from the park and walk right in. Restroom facilities were ample and handwashing area was provided. We hope to be able to go again next year.

I do love this place and the cool things they have surrounding it, but I would love it if the bums could go away from the area! It’s gross watching them pee or change or hang out all filthy. The area was nice when bums weren’t freaking you out with their mental disorders or begging you for stuff. I know a woman that started her own business from scratch and is still going strong today, everyone b rise up and do better. But the playground and the water that shoots out of the ground is very nice.

Great nice place. WE saw the Vintage Trouble. Not a bad seat and a great outside venue. There was the go outside festival. We will be going back for more!
