👍👍 It's quiet & peaceful. We have a bit of country close by to get away from it all. I pointed out a baby Great Blue Herring on the other side of the river. It stayed there for a long time.

One of mine and my kids favorite places to picnic. It's beautiful. There isn't a playground which is fine by us. It's just a joy to sit and hear the waterfall.

Very relaxing. Kids love going and playing. The water fall is beautiful. It could be cleaned up a little. Just to remove all the big logs out of the water 💧

Beautiful place that is randomly found driving along busy roads, so it's definitely in an unlikely location. Other than disgusting garbage here & there, this is a lovely place to visit!

Still needs cleaned up, but had a nice quiet walk and enjoyed the scenery. The geese seemed to be happy.

This is such a great little park! I love taking my dogs here to play in the creek. There are a couple of hiking trails. Decent amount of wildlife to see. The creek is clean for fishing. People pick up after their dogs. Ducks, herons and cranes can be seen in the creek. It's stocked with trout, crawdads for kids to hunt, lots of mud and queen snakes, minnows to chase....

Really enjoyed the fall's. I do wish there had been more picnic tables, and those that were there was in pretty bad shape. My grandchildren loved everything about the park ♡

This is little park is part of a couple city parks that are a secret to most Roanoke Valley citizens don't know about. Mason Mill was a privately owned grist mill probably grinding corn and a multitude of other grains from and for their neighbors. Soon after the industrial revolution and the passage of time the mill wasn't needed and the dams, the flume, and the grindstone started to find another way to be used by the local population which had grown tremendously. For years to come the area was used for swimming and playing. Many a family and just generally young folks swam, dived, splashed each other and just had a good time. Go visit this beautiful patch of fun, fishing and history.

The waterfall was gorgeous and it has great history that goes along with the mill.
