Big shopping mall with many different brands inside, mostly with clothes, shoes and jewelry and of course several restaurants as well. Nice spot to find some cool jeans or get yourselves a fancy shirt or jersey.

This is one of my favorite malls. I have been shopping here for years. They also have some very very nice Elevators. They also have an incredibly nice bathroom here. The toilets are very clean and the toilet paper is very soft.

This mall is another one of a dying breed that is thriving. It's nice to visit a mall that is as busy as malls that I remember when I was younger. All of the stores were in business, and there was a food court. It is a great experience to be able to shop at the various stores and try on clothes in person. We also found a really a really fun and unique store with some Asian favorites, Mini So.

Fun time was had by all. It was a surprise see holiday singers at the mall. Great place to finish up Christmas shopping.

Absolutely can not believe that they didn't decorate for Christmas, and that's some North Pole a 20×20 red rug with Santa. As a kid, and an adult I always loved to see all the decorations in the mall, and what they would do different from year to year. Not much to look at now ☹️

Nice quiet mall. A few places were closed up. But still plenty of options to shop at. Several different stores. Please pay attention to where you park bc you may go in or out of the incorrect entrance.

Very nice mall experience very clean and well kept great place to bring the kids to ride the train and check out the different shops masked aren't required yet so feel free to stop by and take a look at everything before you know who shuts it down again definitely recommend stopping by the mall experienced nothing like being in person to see what you get to choose from

Hadn't been to a mall in a while, visiting friends and we decided to go. The stores we went to were very helpful and had a lot of fun things that we like, and I was able to get a few things I especially liked that I can't get at home, due to the size of the town and the fact there are few stores like these available there. Really happy with my visit. Nice and clean, well-maintained, lovely decorative displays as well as very clean bathrooms which made me very happy to see. It was comfortably cooled as well. Not too crowded at the time I was there. Nice place overall.

This is a mall within a great location for food, shopping and entertainment. This mall has a lot of parking space with upfront handicap parking. They have done a great Job with the Decor for the holiday season. While shopping of the various poplar stores the walk ways was nice and clean.Plenty food and desert options within the food court.

Sometimes this mall can be a little unsafe.. I was in here one time.. I had a guy intentionally bump into me as I was leaving a store. He said he saw some stuff written on the internet about me being a bad guy, and kept asking me why I was hanging out with a large group of small children with no parental supervision. (I was all 11 children’s guardian at the time.) (Why do people believe everything they read online?) He tried to pick a fight with me infront of 11 children (ages 5-10) It happened really quick. It was mostly just a staring contest though. He ended up getting questioned by police/security. The mall didn’t used to be unsafe like that. I remember a time where it was vibrant and was teeming with visitors. These days it seems only a few people visit. There are no good stores. They have a Hot Topic and a Spencer’s.. that’s about it.. oh and a Belk and Macys… Macys is kind of cool with the Toys R Us section. I remember when they had the statue of the man tying his shoe and I have so many good memories of this place. It’s a shell of what it was. At one time it had tons of potential and probably could have brought better stores. Sad.

Had all the stores we need to visit. Found everything we were looking for. Made my Mother's and I day out very enjoyable. Found this at Hot Topic. Found the other 2 shirts at Rue 21 Tom and Jerry, Let's get smashed. AMAZING DEALS. Definitely going back. Can't wait

All of the malls seem to be going out of business and it was awesome to see that valley view Mall is still going strong and I have been going there for my birthday every year since I was about 4 years old and I would meet my wonderful grandma there and even though she is gone now I love that I can at least go to the mall and remember all of the good times and I hope to continue to do this for the memorys

Very disappointed , that Valley view mall allows there jantorial service to clean and close the bathrooms 45 mins before the mall closes. Seems like they would start cleaning the bathrooms once the mall closes, not while people are actively shopping. Seems like lazy employees ready to go home, which isn't the problems of shoppers. If they want a job with better hours find a different one. The whole mall shouldn't have to suffer because of one persons decisions. DO BETTER!!!

This was actually a pretty descent mall. The family had never been but everyone enjoyed it and we were able to purchase a few things for school shopping.

Your typical Mall with all the same stores and a few different ones from Malls across the country. Well maintained and clean. Needs more food options as they don't have a food court just a small section of a few restaurants.

Great staff and selection in Carter's store. Love the train! Clean, seemingly safe environment in the mall.

Just okay. It was your essentials I guess but it’s nothing super special. I like the lil kiosk with the plugs and tunnels downstairs and there’s some decent stores, but there’s a lot of empty locations too. Kind of sad because I used to love going to malls like this. That was my hang out spot as a teenager. My my how things have changed.

I was seriously considering moving to the Roanoke area (Vinton/moneta/Smith Mountain Lake area) but the traffic on I-81 is ridiculous. The city of Roanoke should find whomever designed I-81 and I-581 and demand their money back. I've driven through NYC at rush hour and it wasn't as bad as I-81 in a small Virginia town. Roanoke isn't big. Sorry, it's just not. Tractor trailers running on every interstate in the nation, in bigger numbers, you're not special. No, the problem isn't big trucks it's piss poor design, neverending construction and idiots that want to do 50 in the left lane. The Roanoke area has more of those idiots than anywhere I've ever been. Get out the fast lane, Earnest T!

Nothing much to offer! Stop overpricing rent and get people to bring their stores there! Lots of local small businesses that would do great here and lots of space for them if they would not ask for so much in rent! So many stores closed down which is almost leaving it like ghost town! This mall will always be packed with people because we have no other malls so why not get it packed with stores for the people! Also too many stores closing down wayyyy to early! Get your staffing together! You should not be closed by any mean at 6 pm on a Friday! This is a small town people look forward to go to the Mall! Let’s bring life back into it! However I am so happy they reopened the children’s play area! It’s free it’s peaceful and the kids have so much fun, and meet lots of kids there! It was a joy to see it thriving during Christmas after all we went thru from the pandemic! I just hope it bounces back fully with lots of new stores! It could really be a great mall! Get on the phone and get us some more stores or you can hire me to do it 💪🏽

One of the best malls I've been in. Plenty of stores to shop and browse, as well as clean environments with the feeling of safety and security. The food court has great options, including Asian and Italian, and the atmosphere is always lively.

The remodeled mall sure looks nice. Love the new look and what the mall has to offer. Food court is delicious, love the coffee shop that is there and the movie theater is great. Lucky to have a decent mall in this area to shop at. Even has an Aquarium.

We like it, it's usually clean, has good stores, tho sometimes the people is a little scary but overall we have a good experience there.

Today there were many shoppers, walkers and families enjoying the food court and shops. We visited Something Else Boutique, Belleza's, Spencer's, Macy's and Hot Topic. First we had burgers @Red Robin. Yummm!

It's a mall. Like all malls, I worry about mass shootings as there is little visible security in the mall. This used to be a nice area, but like nearly all malls is becoming sketchy. Since the Sears went out, I hardly have a reason to visit and that's ok.

Someone riding a motorized scooter saw me walking to my car from way off and was loudly calling after me and moving extremely fast on the scooter to reach me (faster than I knew they could go). Was unsettling. Seemed fishy so I got out of there no questions asked! Glad I spotted them before they reached me. Need some kind of security in the parking lot.

There's been improvement in the mall over the last year or so. New stores. It's clean and nice appearing. The offerings support the realities of the local market. The overbearing security in some stores is off-putting to say the least. $65 Polo hoodie shirts are chained to the racks while $95 short sleeve "preppy" Polos are not. Every customer seems to be a potential criminal, some apparently more than others. Please create a friendly atmosphere that will cause me shop locally, and not just when I'm away in a major city.

Always a great mall, been going here for YEARS. Still clean, still nice and modern. Two floors of stores. Nice directory and plenty of bathrooms and places to sit. Shopping, Food, Browsing, Toys, Hobbies, Shoes, Hats, Ice Cream, Cell phone cases and etc! Easily accessible right off 220 North across from the airport.

I found this mall near the hotel I stayed over the weekend. It was actually alive with shoppers and stores that were still open that I found clothes in other malls.

Traffic entering and exiting, continues to be a challenging experience but some better with the new North from I-581, South to I-581 access, entering/exiting from Hershberger Road is still as difficult as is normal... A good study on how the mall of the 80s continues to reinvent itself and of how what previously might have been inside the mall has evolved into the stores, offices and other stand alone storefronts populated around the once, shopping experience of it's day large mall setting, all under one roof shopping selection... I don't have a solution for the traffic flow, but I still like Valley View Mall... (and the cluster of locations that now surround the mall,) Enjoy..!!

Half the building doesn't have electricity, had to use my phone flashlight to navigate through some of the halls. Couldn't find a single open business let alone a person shopping. Someone left their creepy statue in the hall too. Some exits blocked. Very disorganized, chairs on floor. Don't recommend

Great place! The stairway is huge going down, It is a little dark and moody I thought, I enjoy the background music though! The only reason I'd not recommend this place to others is because there was this creepy thing on wheels, And the stairs broke and caved in. I'm still enjoying the sights 8 days later though!

👍👍 Beware of this pickup truck, the old man likes to park his truck so that you have no way of getting into your vehicle, 2nd time he's done this..Had to bring the manager of Foodlion into parking lot. The man refused to move the truck. Manager made him move.
