This place to me is very very overrated. We visit the place every time we are in Seychelles with any of our clients. The food is ok . They have a huge bar and a big wine cellar. The peg measure at Th Maharajas is out of the world. Not anywhere in the world have I seen 40 ml as a single peg and 80 ml as double. I might just be very amateur for this I believe . Service is good . Prices are exorbitantly high .

Avoid this place at any cost! We ordered tea and samosas and got a plate of tiny samosas after what felt like an eternity. The tea was the worst I've ever had. At it cost 700 SCR!!! Insult to Indian food. MAHARAJA ONLY IN NAME. NOT WORTH EVEN FOR BHIKARIS!!!

Food was mostly ok, especially vegetarian. But garlic naan was very bland and not enjoyable on its own. However, scummy pricing practices and weak service ruins the experience: rice is not included in any dishes and prices are listed without VAT.

The maharajas overlooks the marina at Eden harbor where we rocked our catamaran thus it was the most convenient restaurant for us. We could literally see our table on its patio from our cockpit The restaurant is part of a hotel but it was virtually deserted both times we dined there though perhaps we ate on the early side before most locals or other travelers dine Service is a bit leisurely - “island time” - which was okay with us. I believe they would have been happy to speed up our food if we’d asked The restaurant has a wide selection of food and alcoholic beverages and they were willing to make non alcoholic versions of those drinks too The curry entrees come with very heavy amounts of sauce as seems to be the style of curry here in the Seychelles. Maharajas named some of their dishes after celebrities. My lamb curry was “Josh Rogan” style. Had he been a guest? Dining on the outside deck is more pleasant than inside where there doesn’t seem to be any air conditioning. Inside has heavily carved Indian style furniture, a lot of cloth and fabric and stylized oil paintings. There are walls of wines separating dining areas. The bathrooms are clean and comfortable Prices are high for the Seychelles but Eden harbor is an upscale tourist area

If you are looking for some genuine Indian cuisine, head to this restaurant. Though takes a lot of time for the food to arrive after you place an order. But still worth a wait. There is no wifi at this place. Mrunal, the manager at this place is an Indian guy and was super friendly to us. He asked us about the food quality and any feedback. Overall, I would say visit this place for treating yourself with some good food only if you are ready to wait a bit long for your order to arrive.

Nice Indian restaurant with great views. Food was very nice and the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the service was very slow. It was a particularly busy night but there should simply have been more staff. Take a leaf out of Bravo's book (restaurant next door) where they have way more staff per customer.
