Great gym in terms of equipment. However, the entire company is a scam and is full of snakes. Multiple friends having issues canceling their memberships, random rate hikes, and being charge for services they did not want. Never left a google review before, but they sent debt collectors after me when I had to put a stop payment order through my bank. Also, the couple ladies I spoke to who work there are very uneducated on the contracts they have. Everyone's a lawyer nowadays I guess.

Extremely disappointed in this company and strongly recommend going to another gym. My wife has a new medical condition and needed to cancel her membership. Edge Fitness Clubs (parent company ABC Fitness Solutions, LLC) asked us to provide a doctors note indicating medical necessity for cancellation. Once this note was provided, they indicated not enough information was given and sent their contract policy. My wife provided them a second updated doctors note and the company still would not cancel her membership and asked for even more detail. Federal HIPPA laws protect the details of her medical condition. Two doctors notes have been provided to this company and they are still not canceling our membership and making this process extremely difficult. We have talked with others who go/went to Edge Fitness Clubs expressing the same frustration. The benefit of living in a competitive market society is that you have options. I strongly recommend you exercise at another company.

Great gym overall, however, there’s often issues with it. Sauna isn’t as hot as it should be, with temperatures usually around 130-160, not enough squat racks for the amount of members that they have, useless movie theater that occupies valuable space, and the equipment often has issues that makes them get taken down for a while. One pro for it is the price, which is pretty fair for what you get in return.

This gym is way too busy for the size. I end up standing in line to workout and use machines, dumbbells, racks, you name it. You spend 90% of your workout waiting for people to finish. In my opinion this gym needs to be a LA Fitness size or Lifetime size. It is not condusive to the amount of members it has.

This gym has so much potential. I have been a member since they opened years ago. Sadly as a woman, I don't feel super supported by the staff and their policies. Also, the women's only section is honestly a joke. Way too many cardio machines, super light weights, and we don't even get a squat rack. I realistically cannot even complete my workouts in there so it's sad that the space goes wasted. (and you have to PAY to use the women's only section LOL) I have dealt with harassment and feeling uncomfortable from other members, and even a staff member. There is only one staff member, Danna, who is seriously incredible. She always goes above and beyond to take care of things, is super friendly, and very knowledgable. When I've gone to staff to handle harassment, and inappropriate behavior and comments from other members, they do not follow any company policy or protocol. The male staff members simply say "sorry that happened" and do not offer any type of resolution unless I insist on speaking with Danna to handle it. Overall they need to do way more to help women feel safe, and respected in the gym. As mentioned, Danna is amazing and they could really use her as a staple to build a new company culture around. Honestly disappointing that in 2022 they are not more inclusive to women with their facility, policies, and company culture.

Halfway decent gym if you are looking for something affordable. My main complaint is that the staff lead you to believe you are on a month by month contract when you sign up until it comes time to cancel. You are then booted off to a 3rd party, offshoring support staff that tell you that you need to move 25 miles away or be struck by lightning to cancel your membership. It would take me 30 minutes to drive to a location from where I have moved, but because it is not far enough away in mileage, I am up creek with about a paddle and paying for a gym I will never see again. Based on my experience, I would recommend that everyone stay as far away from Edge as possible.

I want to give edge fitness 5 stars, but unfortunately I cannot due to the following reasons: Be very very careful of the fine print in your contract (which you’ll probably never see)... If you want to cancel your membership, the staff gives you some story that they don’t handle accounts at the club. Well that takes you back to the day when you signed up at the club, so really they don’t handle cancellations there... Anyways, they make you email or call a company called abc fitness, which then states that you cannot cancel your membership unless you are moving minimum 15 miles away from any club, serving in the military, or medical reasons. And you must provide proof... which seems a bit invasive of ones privacy. They tell you several times those are the only three ways you can cancel your membership. So after some back and forth with the customer service agent and asking her what if I just hate the club and don’t want to be a member I finally got the answer. Here’s the caveat, when you sign up you are automatically put on auto-renewal so to “cancel” your membership you need to email or call them at least 60 days prior to your auto-renewal date and stop your auto-renewal. If you don’t do this, you will be stuck paying for another year. I find this to be very scummy and really happy I didn’t find this out before it was too late Second reason: It’s always so busy unless you go at very odd hours Third reason: Weekend hours kind of suck, the hours they are open are extremely busy. On a positive note: the place is very clean and a good price. TLDR: if you want to cancel your membership, call abc fitness at least 60 days prior to auto-renewal date and turn off auto renewal. Otherwise you’re on the hook for a whole year.

YOU cannot cancel your membership in the club. YOU WILL BE CHARGED ONE EXTRA MONTH once you successfully cancel the membership I’ve watched some of the STAFF MAKE GIRLS UNCOMFORTABLE every single time i’m there. They also don’t tell you the membership goes up $5 after the first year. Most workers are unfriendly and none of them ever stay because it is a revolving door GYM is way too busy at peak times like 5pm Music is so loud that i had to buy other headphones to block out the noise The gym has nice equipment and is clean but there are way too many negatives The gym is cheap for a reason. STAY AWAY

I was so excited to sign up here. I went and tried out the gym and loved eveything about it. So much so I decided to take my free session with a personal trainer. As someone who is very careful with who they choose to share info with, this personal trainer was very kind and professional. I decided to sign up for personal training with him, believing he would be the one training me. Unfortunately it fell threw and after a week of no contact, i come to find out he no longer works there. And i am still required to pay the $385 a month for personal training. Even though the person and reason I signed up with is no longer there

Overall, this is a great gym. The best way I would describe it is between a Planet Fitness and an LA Fitness. Great variety of machines and equipment and overall a clean facility. Keep in mind, after about 3-4pm on a weekday it is very hard to get a good workout in due to the number of members here. It can be hard to follow a routine when every machine, bench, and squat rack is taken during weekday evenings. My only complaint would be the large windows above the weight racks. During the day the sun is shining right in your face in that whole area which can get annoying during workouts.

I’m in Michigan for vacation. I friend recommended me this place to workout, I got a 3 day pass, so I went this morning and they told me I can’t use my 3 day pass bc I need a valid Michigan ID but they gave the option of paying for a day pass (which I don’t mind). But makes no sense for me that I can’t use a 3 day pass bc I don’t have a Michigan ID but I can pay for a day pass? I’m sorry but that makes no sense, the situation was really uncomfortable, definitely don’t recommend this place.

Lately the gym is not clean as it used to be. Machines and floors. Last Sunday floors were so muddy even inside the restrooms. There should be a daily cleaning service, specially now that there is snow and with Omnicron cases rising. Front desk is like a mini club, chatting and not paying attention of customers. Who ever is the owner of this gym, should visit periodically unexpected times, no advance notice to watch service, cleaning, etc The treatment of some team members is not customer friendly, if they do not like what they do, they should do something different.

I’ve been going to the gym for a year & some change & while the gym is decent, and things stay pretty clean, they have the worst front desk service/attitude. A couple of the trainers are great/friendly, but a few of the other trainers/employees look like they’re terrible to work with, they have unfriendly/unpleasant demeanors & facial expressions, especially compared to Farmington. One of the trainers was training his client so poorly, pacing around her, looking uninterested and not critiquing her unsafe squatting form. The energy they give off at times is so ugly & y inviting to be around.

I’ve been a member here since they first opened this location and it used to be THE BEST gym around in my opinion. Now, it has fallen off the map for me. The equipment is phenomenal and I love the staff, but holy mother of ***, I CANNOT believe they are still accepting new members. Good luck trying to actually get a good pump with how many people are here. No matter how creative I get with my exercises, there is absolutely NO ROOM for training. It has become so congested and I am sad that I am looking to transition to a new gym. I’m not saying that it is a bad place, but my personal opinion is that a gym needs to be all work and no play. Too much socialization and grouping happening and it just ain’t the right vibe for me! No disrespect, but just my thoughts! :)

NEVER EVER JOIN ,Worst management. My membership was only for 11 months , didn't use it for more than 45 days due to covid. They have your ideally expired in Jan 21, but they automatically put you on month to month membership ( management decides to continue just because they have your cards details)when I explicitly told them membership should be only for 11 months and then I decide whether to continue. Now so sweetly they say sorry we can reverse ur payments. Worst management don't join them. I'm surprised they used this tactics on many customers .

Too many kids, and inconsiderate woman that say they are using a peice of equipment but spend 10 min talking to their friends or on their phone between sets. Beautiful facility though. I canceled my membership after 2 days as you only gavev3 days to do so. Also, there is a reason their app does not offer a way to see how crowded it is because it's always over crowded. They over sold memberships at this location. Don't get fooled.

Ever since I signed up for a membership I feel like I’ve been played: I thought I was signing up for 1 year ended up being two years ok fine I get it commitment. But I asked if I could add on shakes on my account and prepay them. They said yes add whatever you want. Ok cool. Then I go in to pre pay for two. The lady that I talked to kept pushing me to do 10 or the 20 which was over $100. I was like no I’ll just do two she kept stalling saying how cheap it would be to do the deal. All I wanted was two on the account. All I feel any time I go in there is pressured to spend money. Definitely not a gym to be comfortable in. They really need to work on customer service. And not be so pushy. Just my opinion and stating facts what had happened. Not bad mouthing the whole company. Just stating what I had to go through just to simply pee order shakes.

The Edge is mismanaged. I had my items (wallet, credit cards, cash) stolen from the locker room. The management basically said tough luck. I did make a police report. However, the management didn't comply. Horrible gym. Do yourself a favor and find a gym hat is safe and cares about their members.

I’ve been attending the Rochester hills gym since I moved to Michigan in June and they have really made a lot of improvements just in those few short months. For the low price, it’s a really great value. The gym is always clean and members are usually good about re-racking weights. They recently added a new squat rack (now 5 total) and a new cable machine with loads of new attachments. The one complaint I had prior was that the gym gets too crowded during peak times but even during peak hours the max time I’ve had to wait for a rack or a bench is 10-15 minutes. Hopefully this change will reduce that and hopefully management will continue adding new equipment to reduce the congestion. I would suggest adding a hip thruster machine or a new hip thrust bench so we don’t have to use up a rack or deadlift platform to do barbell hip thrusts.

I wish I could say 5 stars, I really do. The place is clean, bright, welcoming, and quite complete; however, its downfall is that it's so doggone crowded. Everyone and their dog has a membership here and it makes planned workouts a little difficult. Perhaps I am just foolish enough to go during peak hours, but I'm also not a huge fan of the music playing in the background. The density of patrons is not a very legitimate gripe, because it just means it's a good place and people recognize that, but it plus the music warrants a 4 star rating.

Honestly the gym itself is awesome and has everything you need if you want to take the gym more seriously with really professional and high quality machines plus more stuff like sauna, movie theatre cardio, BFP Scan , smoothies, massage chair, and has a great open space for stretching and a studio room that you can use when classes aren’t in… But the HOURS ARE HORRIBLE I’ll give them credit for bringing back 24hr for Monday-Thursday but they close on 7 on weekends and 9 on fridays. This wouldn’t be as much of a problem if they didn’t advertise as a 24hr gym. It’s not 2020-2021 anymore it’s time to extend the hours so people can fit going into their schedule easier… almost everyone I’ve talked to even emplyoees agree that some days they can’t make it in because of the strict weekend hours. And I would understand more if it was even 12? 10? BUT 7?! THATS WILD. I have a friend that has a planet membership as well to combat just to combat these weekend hours almost no other gym in the area closes this early on the weekend…Every single person I know that goes here (a lot) or even acquainteses agrees and had several friends switch gyms because of this reason alone :(. I understand this is a corporate issue and not this gym particularly but I wish I could leave a 5 star review that it deserves but until the hours are considered reasonable I’m keeping it on this lower side.

Cinema is a waste of space and almost always empty. Never enough squat racks/equipment unless you want to come in at an inconvenient time (11pm at night if you have any energy left to workout). Way too many members and always waiting for equipment...I would rather pay twice the price and have them cap membership. Inconvenient cancellation policy with countless complaints from Edge members. Impossible to cancel utilizing staff at the club, you will need to call a number and get the runaround.

I love this location the best. I’ve been to the Sterling, Warren, Farmington and Westland ones and I love this one the best. The gym is well maintained, I feel 100% comfortable no one leaving phones or bottles by machines to hog them. Machines are rarely broken compared to other locations. Even while busy and crowded I can still get a good workout in I would only say they need to get better with making the shakes at the shake counter.

  • 1/5 Greg T. 11 months ago on Google
I signed up here because it was my local gym, and at first glance the facilities are nice and the price is unbeatable, but the first two times I went I could barely get on a single machine I wanted. That's part of why the membership is so cheap. It's unbelievably overcrowded (probably because people get sucked into the cheap rates, but you get what you pay for). That was nothing compared to the fact that after realizing I made a huge mistake and wanted to cancel my membership they wouldn't let me cancel unless I stated I had a medical disability to do so. I thought this was a joke, but the service rep told me that I was straight up stuck in my membership for life without that reason to cancel unless I joined the military or moved (which I had no intent to do). Do not be charmed by the low rates. You'll be stuck going to an overcrowded gym your entire life. Overall, it's a beyond unethical business model and you will have to improvise almost every workout. Do not make the same mistake I did.

Fantastic Gym. Edge Cinema is a pleasant surprise. Sometimes I just go to the gym to watch movies on the elliptical / treadmills. Causes me to workout more days a week than I normally would. That's a win in my book!!

My home away from home. Staff members are always so welcoming, friendly and know how to make you feel comfortable. I appreciate the atmosphere they create as well as other members, the cleanliness, the amount of equipment, the kids zone for my daughter, honestly just overall a great gym and I will continue with edge most likely until I'm unable to move. Lol

Great place to workout! However could utilize the space of the movie theater and add more equipment. For the size of the facility is too small. Again great gym overall though!

Super clean gym. Shout out to Dana. She is always there to help with any questions. Even when she has clients, she acknowledges me and my kids when we walk in or leave. She jumped up from her office to make my daughter a shake because no one had gotten to us yet. She definitely is one to go above and beyond. Dana is a phenomenal leader. You can tell she genuinely cares. (4 out of 5 stars because childcare is not always open due to lack of staff)

It’s gotten a lot better with staffing and professionalism among the gym. Although I’ll still say I feel sometimes the staff and members treat this gym more of play ground, joking, and social area, instead of always trying to improve the experience for the members of the gym. Like playing bad music very loud and repetitive at the end of the day before closing to push people out-

  • 5/5 Riley J. 1 year ago on Google
I really enjoyed my workout here! The staff are very friendly and everything is consistently very clean - wet ones by the treadmills and an individual Clorox spray in every bathroom stall. I’m not used to this gym setup but I’m really impressed and looking forward to more workouts here!

  • 5/5 Iam A. 2 years ago on Google
I love Edge fitness! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I truly appreciate the kids care that they offer as well. The only thing I didn't like was when Covid stated, you either paid a unreasonable fee to cancel your membership, or go in. You can only freeze your account for so long. Overall the cleanliness and benefits were good before the pandemic even started. Thank you!

Love this gym and all the staff. I have been coming here since they first opened and so happy I joined. Everyone at the front is so happy to greet everyone and 10 stars plus goes out to Danna for always and I mean always working and she never complains. She is so helpful and friendly and goes above and beyond. 10 stars plus to Jamie (personal trainer) she is amazing and encourages you during every session. 10 stars plus to the instructors Annie, Katerina, Grace and Sabrina they all do an amazing job and make the workout enjoyable with their personalities. All staff should be recognized and appreciated for always going above and beyond for the club members. Thank you all

Women’s area, edge strong classes, kids area, guest passes...some of my favorite perks about this gym. However, the best part for me has been my personal trainer: Jamie Olsen has been an OUTSTANDING trainer and motivator and I am beyond grateful to have found her. She has given me better insight on what goals to set for my body as well as workout routines and feedback on nutrition. Her welcoming and friendly demeanor make it a pleasure to interact with her each time and the reason I keep coming to the Rochester Hills Edge Fitness over others. A strong asset to this location!

I love my gym! Each time I walk in, the front desk staff offer smiles and greetings. The equipment is maintained and updated. I also love the women’s gym area that I can go to in the back! My favorite part is my personal trainer, Jamie! With her help and encouragement, I lost nine pounds and am living a healthier lifestyle. She’s the best!!!

I started with you guys just over a month ago. Most of the staff is friendly but I am very fond of Danna. When it came to upgrading my account she was very helpful in assuring that I got everything I wanted for a decent price. She is also very attentive to any possible needs I may have at my time of working out. Matt is also very helpful and patient. Would definitely renew my membership. Price, equipment variation and closed off women's gym for those who are uncomfortable. Tanning and massage available all for not much money in comparison to other gyms. Location is perfect for me.

  • 5/5 Leanne B. 2 years ago on Google
This club makes you feel like you belong! Whether you are a serious weight lifter or a mom like me trying to live a healthier lifestyle, this place will help. Danna at the front desk always makes me feel welcome, she knows the answers to all my questions and always checks on me after a tough workout with words of encouragement, she even joins us in class when she can! The trainers, especially Jake, are next level, they take the time to learn what your goals are and then make a realistic plan with you! Jake always challenges me to do more than I think I can, all while maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. Keep up the great work guys!

The Edge fitness is a wonderful gym priced extremely competitively with top of the line equipment and extremely knowledge and friendly staff. I made the decision to enroll in personal training and I have seen tremendous results. Drew who is my Personal Trainor has an exceptional degree of knowledge and care for his clients. He truly focuses in on your development and helped me to understand key lifts better like squats. My development in the gym was vastly accelerated due to my decision to train with Drew, he taught me the importance of mind muscle connectivity, and time under tension through the eccentric movements of the lift. I personally recommend Drew to all my close friends and family if they are serious about achieving their next milestone at the gym. Also a huge shoutout to the whole staff at the Edge they really are great to chat with, and always are happy to talk about their fitness journey which I found motivating for myself. Because of the Edge and the encouraging staff I found a new found hobby for fitness and I have never been happier.

I LOVE this gym, BUT - the women's area needs at least 1 Squat rack (get rid of at least 3 of the 10 freaking treadmills) AND they have 2 assault bikes in a private session room that they won't let anyone use... I've been a member of this gym for 7 months now, and I have NEVER seen anyone use these bikes. Let us use the assault bikes!! ALSO, the employees who clean this place do an awesome job.
