Very disappointed with the afternoon tea, definitely not worth £68 (£17pp). Tiny Tim's in Canterbury is MUCH BETTER. The only thing nice was the scones, since the desserts were either really dry or totally frozen. Everything including sandwiches must have been prepared days beforehand, which made the experience 1/5 ☆ It just wasn't fresh enough sadly. Very disappointing. Won't return.

Not the best burger ever, but also not the worst. Same goes for the cream tea. Shame the clotted cream came in a plastic container. The fresh strawberries were a nice add on though! Staff seemed very stressed, which made the whole visit not that relaxing.

Afternoon tea was not good. Tasteless sandwiches, several flavors where not served even though they where on the menu. The cakes where not good. Tea cups seamed very old and not clean, toilets broken. Do not recommend this to anyone.

Had a takeaway latte and the milk was curdled and sour tasting. Disgusting. Update in the response from the owner. My partner had gone out to get these and taken them back home, which was then we realised. I'm not going to walk back to the town for a replacement coffee which should of been right first time.

We went here for breakfast, Or tried to. We ordered our breakfast and three hot drinks and waited for 45 minutes for the food, which didn’t turn up We appreciate that staff are busy but we had no communication at all. We spoke to them on two occasions. We were advised the first time that ‘we’re upstairs and they’re downstairs. We don’t know’. We asked for a refund, and as we left, the owner, then came out to have a go at us and told us to leave his premises because ’we are busy’. He stated that we shouted at his staff, which we did not, at any time. He then told us to get out of his premises. Rudest owner, I have Ever come across, I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody after the way we’ve just been treated. If our order had been forgotten, we would’ve understood but without communication, how are we to know? Really unnecessary reaction from the owner. You’d think an apology would be offered rather than rudeness. Response to the owner: We categorically did not verbally abuse your staff. We asked twice where our food was, no verbal abuse was used at all. Don’t you think other customers would’ve heard if we did? You didn’t apologise, not once. Nobody did. We had no communication from anybody until we enquired as to what was happening. It was me you shouted at as I left with my family. If you had spoken to me, or my family, directly and with politeness, we would have had a conversation with you but you went at me, quite rudely. Your staff were certainly busy, but nobody was rude to them.

The title says it all really. I planned a surprise party for my parents here and had 18 people coming including 5 kids. From the initial booking right through to the end of the meal, the staff were helpful and friendly. We were given the whole of the downstairs, which was fantastic as it meant the kids wouldn't bother anyone. They also blocked off the bathroom for just us so that we wouldn't be disturbed by other guests (so thoughtful!). They even decorated with balloons and flowers; the flowers the owner had arranged himself just for us too and let us take home afterward! We had the high tea option, which was £13.95 a head and the amount of food was amazing! The cakes both looked gorgeous and tasted amazing, I had the gluten-free cakes and they were so good! The sandwiches were also great with a range of fillings (I even got to choose what I had in mine!) Unlimited tea and coffee kept everybody very happy and full too! They also let you bring your own alcohol and provide glasses, which was brilliant and this meant my mum could have her favourite bellini with her meal. This experience was one of the best meals out AND parties we've ever had, my mum was so surprised and said it was the best party and just how she would have wanted a party to be. We also were told they can do a sit-down hot meal with a roast too (with notice of course) so I don't think there's anything they can't do here! We absolutely recommend this place for a party and can't praise it highly enough. If you're looking for somewhere for your party, check out Tiny Tim's!

Took my family out to a day trip to Rochester. Whilst we had a lot of great options around we thought the name and history of the place we thought it would be good idea to dine. I’d like to point out that we were the second last customer before closing on a weekend. We ordered a variety of food for the family, one of them a simple Tuna and Sweetcorn Sandwich, but we received a a sandwich with just Tuna and no sweetcorn, no problem, simple mistake. When I pointed it out, the waitress said they ran out of Sweetcorn, a slight frustration as if we were told earlier then we would have ordered something else. We also ordered a plain scone and received a fruit, again, nothing was done. Food was good but a bit dissatisfied with the service, but hoping the business takes it as feedback rather than a criticism.

The coffee is good but when I leave the cafe , I feel like I have a smell of oily fumes on my body.

I was going to leave a 5 star review as the food is delicious and the decor is so cute, it’s one of my favourite cafes, however when I was here yesterday a staff member (the owner maybe?) suddenly started having a go at a girl as she was leaving telling her to not shout at the staff, I would just like to say I was sat near her and never once heard her raise her voice but I sure did hear the staff raise his voice. It was also a coincidence he did it just as she was leaving, I’m all for sticking up for yourself and your staff members but why wait till she’s half out the door to say something to her so loudly for everyone to hear? I brushed it off thinking it was a bit harsh but not my problem, now like I said at the start I was going to leave 5 stars but decided to have a look at the reviews and noticed not only did that girl leave her own comment but someone else has mentioned something similar about the boss having a go at people when they have any criticism. Also any low review seems to get a very passive aggressive reply. I find this so strange. This cafe is clearly thriving so why reply so passive aggressively to people? I think whoever does the replies maybe needs to just ego check themselves a little bit. It makes me wonder if I came her again and had any sort of issue would they then start on me? It’s a lovely cafe so I will come back however that will be in the back of my mind and I hope I don’t have to deal with it.

We had a Christmas Afternoon Tea today at Tiny Tim’s. It was amazing. We were able to choose our sandwich fillings which was a lovely touch. We had gorgeous freshly baked cakes, scones, mince pies, Christmas cakes - way too much that we all ended up taking some home. The staff were so friendly and service was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will return! 🥰

We hired the downstairs for an afternoon tea hen party celebration. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they offered a wide selection of sandwich fillings. They catered for us all and it was all prepared fresh once everyone had arrived. There was too much food but we had 1 person who didn't arrive. They gave us boxes and foil to take home as didn't want to waste anything. Tiny Tim's is such a hidden gem in the heart of Rochester, highly recommended. Thank you

We were the only two people in this place, it was deserted. Other coffee shops were full. Service was good. Atmosphere was some what lonely.

Last year I had my very first afternoon tea here on my birthday and absolutely loved it. After that, I had a few more afternoon teas, (one even at a very fancy and quite expensive place where my sister in law had her hen do) but Tiny Tim's has raised the stakes for afternoon tea extremely high for me. As I wouldn't shut up about this, my partner decided to give it a try too so we rang up last minute on his day off and turned up an hour later. The staff is absolutely lovely, the atmosphere was very relaxed. We did get some extra sandwiches with our order too which we really appreciated, it was such a lovely touch! The quality of their food definitely stands out. Every single item on the tiers is fricking delicious. Sandwiches are made with soft bread and are freshly prepared upon order, scones are served warm and the petit four are all to die for! I always get so excited trying them all 😁 I honestly don't understand the bad reviews on here but surely those people don't appreciate good quality food. For about £20 per person I think it's very fairly priced considering the cost that goes into ingredients and production. Being a home baker myself I know how much time and effort goes into preparation. Adding the cost of everything else that comes on top of it, you can barely make any profit without people starting to moan. So please, If you can't appreciate good food, stay away from Tiny Tim's. However I know I'll be back for sure! 😊

My first visit here as I saw it was dog friendly. My dog was welcomed and his sausage and bacon came chopped up in a bowl. The vegetarian option was lovely. We will be back!
