I have never been disappointed or upset with this place, great food, and portion sizes could feed two people most times! If you're looking for the best Chinese food, this is the place to go!

China Star is one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester. A very nice menu selection and great food and service!

I absolutely love their food here. Only place we go to get Chinese food here in town. Alway fresh to order and have never gotten my meal wrong. Would recommend to anyone in town or some visiting. Their beef lo mein is probably my favorite, a long with their crab ragoons. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Place always seems busy. Only thing is no cards excepted, only cash and checks. Update: they take credit and debit cards now!

We have been going here for several years now. Service is quick and food is always great. They always get the particular requests just right. I suggest calling ahead for take out and verses just showing up.

China star is so disgusting! I’m sure they know Chinese food doesn’t taste the same when warmed up in the microwave after it’s been sitting. So why sale it? Nothing like opening a box of chicken soaked in scorching hot thick jelly textured sauce fresh out of the microwave! They also have a habit of over frying the chicken and STILL selling it, looks fresh but hard af.

Takeout. Food was great. Veggies were crisp. Crab rangoon had more filling than competitors. Declining quality of our long time source for Chinese takeout, forced us to look for a replacement. Looks like we found our replacement.

YUCK… that’s all I can say. We ordered orange chicken and general tsao’s both with chicken fried rice. All of the “chicken” was gristle or dough. The “chicken” in the chicken fried rice was blackish in color and rubbery, my husband found I would say 1/4 of an onion in the middle of his rice. I tried the crab Rangoon and the filling was cold and STUK, smelled rotten… NOT HAPPY. 🤢

Excellent Chinese food! We ordered five entrees and all were amazing. Highly recommend General TSOs chicken, Egg Foo Young, Beef with Broccoli, Garlic Chicken, and Vegetables with Tofu. Also, the Crab Rangoon are the perfect amount of cream cheese.

We happened to stop and order some take out and I saw the cook grab two to go boxes that were sitting next to the stove with left over fried rice and pour it into the pan and re heated it and place it inside our to go order! He looked to make sure no one saw him then noticed I saw him and he then turn quickly looked again and smiled. If I hadn't been standing there I would've have ate that rice. It's pretty sad that they do this to their customers! I will be reporting it to the health department and hope all customers start paying attention how this establishment cooks their food. Never again will we eat here!!!

Good food. Lots to eat. Better than the Twin Cities area

I ordered a large House Lo Mein and Sweet & Sour chicken to share with family for dinner. I was disappointed at the size of the so called "large" container, it was definitely a small size. The price I paid was definitely not worth the amount of food that I got to feed my family.

My wife and I always get dinner here. The food is prepared well and we have never had a problem. It's the best Chinese fare at an affordable price in town.

Stopped to pick up carry out over lunch. I ordered online- it was easy and fast. Our order was accurate and food was hot. Egg rolls were smaller than regular egg rolls. The store does have some limited seating. Restrooms in back- one out of order. The lady who took my payment and prepared our order was NOT friendly. She was yelling at me, with frown on her face when I asked her to repeat what she was asking. I’m not hard of hearing, I just didn’t understand her question. She was asking how many sweet and sour sauce I wanted. Her yelling and speaking louder didn’t solve the language barrier between us. It only made me want to leave. I stopped to get three separate orders to deliver to three friends who I thought needed a day brightener. I wasn’t sure I even wanted the food after dealing with this nagar I’ve women. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I would give 1 start for friendliness 🫤.

$30.00 for 6 shrimp in one entree and 1/2 pack of tofu in the other. The facility was gross and when we called to ask why, there was no apology, just screams! My advice . . . please eat elsewhere!

Rice was dry and bland. Not enough beef in the beef and broccoli. Delicious. Just better options in the area if you don't need to get take-out. Great customer service.

Food is good but they charged me a ridiculous $6 for changing one of the meats in my house fried rice from pork to beef, bring the total cost to $17.

Never gave eating utensils or napkins. Ordered fried rice ended up with noodles. Not the drivers fault just the resturant

Another Chinese restaurant ravaged by the pandemic. They are still doing good takeout business, but no more eating in. The general tso tofu, which was the first time I've ever seen it on a menu without having to special order it, was delicious!

I used to come here at least once or twice a week until I moved in 2014. I went back yesterday for the first time since I moved. I won't be returning. I didn't know spicy garlic chicken was supposed to be sweet and since when does fried rice have lowmein noodles in it?

Reheated food, poor quality ingredients. Buy Chinese at target and cook in your air fryer. 100x better

Love the wonton egg drop soup and their crab rangoon. The house fried rice is the best to me and is my go to.
