don't move here, it's not worth it. although the people in the office are nice, maintenance takes forever to fix any issues. our AC hasn't worked since July 2021 and we've put multiple work orders in with both the old and new owners. we've repeatedly called and they tell us they will get to it as soon as possible but it's been almost a year and the issue is still not fixed. it is 94 degrees in our apartment and despite the fact that we've let them know they haven't done anything to fix it which is unprofessional. you're better off renting somewhere else.

Renter beware! Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience here. Lease rates were reasonable and you get what you pay for. The units themselves are dated and many areas of the exterior buildings are in disrepair. As another review stated, ants were a problem, however, we were able to rid them with several rounds of spray. A/C and heat worked fine and utility rates were reasonable. Location is conveniently located near the highway but also close to a less desirable part of town, however, crime didn't seem to be a problem here. Management/Staff was a larger problem. They were not easy to reach when problems arose and were difficult to work with. You will almost always have to leave a message and a same day call back is rare. Management always pushed back on issues instead of trying to resolve them. Although we won't recommend Hampton Ridge to anyone, if you are looking for a "budget friendly" apartment in the Rockford area and are prepared to deal with the many shortfalls this review and others have mentioned, this might be an option.

Corrupt Managment! Do not return, security deposits and make false claims. They show you a fully refurnish apartment and then rent you out a unit with poor quality and maintenance issues. Managment is lazy and unprofessional. Date of key return refuse to give me any paperwork or do a walk-through. Claim that my security deposit will be mailed to me and it wasn’t. It never was. After 90 days of Calling and requesting my return of secure deposit they then started making false claims. Lucky I took photos of my move in date and move out date. I would never recommend this scamming company to anyone ! Reach out twice and still on the and still played stupid. This company is sad! Ask them if they do walk thought as tenants move out? Because if they did it would be documented but they take your key and act like everything good and tell you they mailed your security deposit out and never do. Slum lords

Please don’t rent from these people. This place is far too expensive for what you get and the maintenance situation is terrible. Good luck getting anything fixed. The new management seems to be more focused on upgrading the amenities than on fixing things in the apartments.

I've been living here for about a month now and I really enjoy it! The units are reasonably priced compared to other complexes I looked at, the maintenance team is quick to respond to issues (especially Kelly), and Christine was especially helpful in answering all my questions and making sure I had a smooth transition for moving into my new apartment. If you have any questions about leasing an apartment here I'd definitley talk to Christine. They all are doing a great job!

We have lived here for over a year now, and I’m not sure why all the negative reviews, I believe from the older management, maybe? We have had wonderful responses from office staff, any maintenance issues have been responded to in less than 24 hours, usually sooner. There is a very responsive “after hour” maintenance call service. Maintenance staff are some of the kindest people you will ever meet! I will say the units, themselves, are pretty outdated, in regards to finishes, cabinets, countertops, appliances, especially for what you pay. But, other then cosmetics this has been a fantastic place to call home!

The prior ratings don’t reflect the current level of improvement that the new management has made! Lindsay is who we talked to prior to move in and she was excellent and transparent about move in costs. She’s been helpful even beyond move in and is very knowledgeable of the property and goes above and beyond. Christine is also amazing and although she is newer does a great job as well! Nathan in maintenance is awesome and explains what is being done to improve the units and breaks down repairs into simple to understand terms as well as provides helpful advice and tips to avoid issues in the future. Bottom line compared to the previous reviews I’d say this property has pulled a 180 and is only getting better! Friendly, responsive staff, updated, clean units with nice amenities and a neighborhood that is both safe and family friendly!

Kelly S is a huge assest to this company. He came as soon as we reported our issue and fixed our dishwasher. He is positive and willing to help. He is knowledgeable and can pin point the problem immediately.
