My partner and I live in Chico -- 1hr 45 min drive from Rocklin. 3 weeks ago we drove down to purchase a bar table. We were told we'd have to wait for the next shipment the following weekend! Totally understandable. (I learned that I could call ahead to check in about that kind of thing) The problems started when we drove down last weekend (2nd weekend in a row driving down there) to pick up the table. We checked in at desk, then drove around to warehouse and were given a box. We drive back to Chico and realize we were given box 1 of 2. We were not given the legs to our table after spending the majority of the day going to pick the purchase up. Management at this location let us down. They refused to ship the legs to is via ups or fed ex. It took an additional week to hear back from an agent (after thr manager got back from vacation) that they're only willing to deliver at the END OF SEPTEMBER (it is the middle of August as I write this) or we can drive back to Rocklin to pick up and receive a $200 partial refund on purchase. Let me tell you, $200 barely covers the gas we've spent on this odyssey. It nowhere reaches making up for the disappointment and time spent walking around a box (labeled 1 of 2)in our dining room while seeing a $700 charge come out of my bank account...as well as the amount of time we will spend this Saturday doing it all over again. I believe this store should have bitten the bullet and shipped our item to us, given we've shown dedication to making a purchase at their store. Mistakes happen but how a business handles them really shows their character. Throughout this process, there has been little and poor communication from the store. I had to call to confirm it was ready for pick up. I've had to call to check in on the status of the legs. Initially, we were told they WOULD ship the item to us. Then, they took that back and the manager did not call me as the agent said would happen and as I requested. Scandanavian Designs Rocklin has made it clear that our time, effort, money, and satisfaction as customers are not important to them. I will not shop here again and will recommend people spend their money elsewhere My partner and I both work busy jobs, so the added trip does take away quite a bit of time from our rare time off. This store has a great looking building, but when it comes down to it their quality of service is lacking. Such a disappointment. .

We love this store. My wife and I have purchased a large sectional and a dining room table and chair set from the Rocklin store. Both times Renee was our salesperson. She is very friendly and didn’t rush us at all with our purchases. Their quality has been very good and and we are happy with our purchases. Renee even called us after our last purchase to let us now that the dining set went on sale a week after we bought it and that she would be refunding us the difference. Great store and great customer service. We’ll definitely be back.

We purchased bedroom furniture about a year ago from the Rocklin store. The set is beautiful solid cherry, well crafted, and made in Oregon. Sales experience was very positive, and the furniture was delivered in a week or so in perfect condition. We are extremely happy with our purchase. The store has a wide variety of furniture that ranges from imported MDF/plastic to domestic solid wood, and priced accordingly. Be sure to browse the entire store or you could miss the perfect piece you're looking for.

If I could buy furniture at only one place, it would be Scandinavian designs in Rocklin. The good experience wasn’t just the beginning and the end of the purchase, but also afterwards. Jeff, the manager, and Alicia, the sales rep are two of the best that I have seen in this business. They made sure I was satisfied even after the sale. They are both personable and professional.

We recently purchased a couch at this location. Great customer service and all around experience. They gave us updates on the arrival of our couch which we appreciated. We will definitely make any future home purchases at Scandinavian Designs. Highly recommend.

Very good collection of modern and trendy furniture for various rooms. Our salesperson Elizabeth was super friendly and knowledgeable; she went above and beyond to help us find the best stuff at the best available price. When the furniture was delivered, we had some scratches on the legs and again Elizabeth/Scandinavian Designs were able to address it promptly. Overall, high quality furniture showroom and salesperson that I have no doubt recommending to anyone.

If you are looking for contemporary furniture and house goods, look no further. Scandinavian designs has great quality pieces at prices That are approachable for many. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I have had the pleasure of dealing with them for many years.

From the name, I expected modern stylish pieces. It’s very traditional, bulky, and better suited for people looking for what is probably good quality but very outdated furniture that definitely errs on the very conservative side. You won’t find trendy pieces here or the latest designs. It attracts a more mature/older crowd. Definitely fills a niche, just not mine.

The knowledgeable staff knew when to help us and when to let us just think and ponder. Furniture took a long time to come, but it came when promised. Selection and service are top notch.

I am so happy with my furniture purchase from Scandinavian Design in Rocklin. Sales staff was very friendly and low pressure. Our couch, love seat and dining set arrived in beautiful condition and the delivery team was on time and very careful and respectful of our home. I will definitely shop here again! Prices were much better than what I had expected.

We love this sectional! It's very comfortable and there's plenty of room for the whole family to gather. The pillows can easily be fluffed and the covers removed for dry cleaning. Two covers did need to be cleaned just one month after delivery because our dog was sick on it, but they came back from the dry cleaners looking like new. The fabric is comfortable and has worn really well so far (we've had it for one year). We were really happy with how fast it was delivered (one month after ordering, Dec 2021) and with their delivery team.

The best furniture experience ever. Our chairs were delivered more than a month earlier than we thought! Very happy with the entire experience. Our sales person, Renee, is the best and the products are exceptional.

I have nothing but great things to say about the Rocklin store. They don’t bother you when shopping (like a lot of furniture stores), but when you do need the help, this is where they shine. Very impressed with the level of customer service I have been provided so far with the Rocklin store. Carl has gone above and beyond to help us, to the point of contacting the furniture manufacturer in order to track down hardware needed for one of the pieces we ordered. The furniture is beautiful, reasonably priced and the associates truly are customer centered. Highly recommend Scandinavian Designs.

One week ago, I took delivery of a nice table. I like the design and the quality of the furniture at Scandinavian Designs. The showroom is huge and well stocked. The warehouse isn't. This was the second attempted delivery of the table we had ordered. The table on the first delivery was damaged and we refused to accept it. The second table had several small nicks on the surface and were noted on the receipt that I signed. No one has contacted me to arrange for repairs. However, I have had two requests for surveys to help them attract new customers. The surveys also give you a space to document problems 'so they can try to make it right.' I have copied what I wrote to them below and have yet to hear from anyone. "Feedback June 6, 2022 First, we really like Danish modern furniture and have a number of pieces already. Second, your inability to maintain a suitable level of stock makes me wonder if you are a viable business. Third, after a wait of several months, we were told that the chairs we ordered were in the warehouse but do to a 'discrepancy with the inventory system', they really weren't. The next availability of the chairs might be September or more than six months after we placed the order. Fourth, when the two tables that were part of our original order were delivered by your contract delivery firm, one table was damaged and we refused delivery. Fifth, when a replacement table was delivery this past weekend, it had several surface nicks and we are waiting for your response as to how it will be repaired. Sixth, your contract delivery team scheduled a delivery time of noon to 2 p.m. and arrived at 10:30 without making contact although they said they had called but left no message. Seventh, after they had finished with their private cell phone calls, I asked them to move my old dining table approximately 25 feet, down one step and into the garage. They refused unless we paid them extra. Finally, we are still waiting for the completion of the order and anticipating hearing from you about repairing the table that was finally delivered."

As an update to my initial review, Scandinavian Designs reached out to me and made things much easier and turned this into a much better experience. Very solid move on their part, and appreciated. I now have my bookcase and it looks great! We have bought many things here over the years, and have enjoyed them all. And the showroom is nice to wander through and get the touch and feel of everything. I would still recommend calling the store before your scheduled pickup time, just to be sure. You never know what might have happened to your item in shipment, and you may save yourself a trip.

Great experience shopping and purchasing here. They offer the best mid-century style options in the region and the quality is great. Our sales person Renee was awesome and not at all pushy, and super helpful coordinating our delivery with our schedule. Will definitely purchase from them again.

We have purchased living room furniture, bedroom furniture, and a bookcase in the last 2 months from Scandinavian Design. Furniture is very nice and good quality. Delivery has been great. Communication with store has been good at times and just okay others. Online store communication has been great. We will purchase again.

Carl is extremely helpful on every visit. The customer service here is top-notch and never pushy. They give you enough space to browse and check-in just enough times. Their furniture design is fantastic and the quality of material and craftsmanship are worth the money. Money other furniture places offer lower quality at not much lower prices. Some places have lower quality and even higher prices.
