OH MY GOSH THANK YOU FOR OPENING THIS LOCATION!!!!!! We have been driving an hour round trip to do the sac location since the Roseville mall location closed. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! For newcomers, get the whole tri tip and a large roadhouse onions ( it's crispy onion strings) and you will eat well for days! We do a rocking salad on day 2 with leftovers, the tri tip chopped up and the onion strings reheated in the air fryer ( or just a dry, hot frying pan on the stove, watch them closely). Their sweet fire sauce drizzled with ranch dressing is better than any local restaurant's bbq ranch. Seriously. I would give Buckhorn 500 stars if I had that option! And join the rewards program, you will get free stuff a lot!

This is my new go to place. The tri-tip is amazing!! Especially if you like the charred crust. I can't get enough of it. I have tried one of their hamburgers which was great, the steak sandwich, I love the roasted vegetables they're cooked perfectly. I haven't tried their salads yet but I'm making my way through their menu and there's really only been one thing I didn't like which was their apple slaw, to me it didn't have hardly any apples and too much Mayo. But then again that is preference. The large Bavarian pretzel was awesome. It was soft and tender and the beer cheese is to die for. The food is just awesome here.

Great place to eat! Excellent service. High quality food. This place hits the spot. The rib and chicken plate is huge. 1/2 chicken and almost a full rack of ribs. The food was perfect prepared. Hot and so delicious! The service us truly exemplary. The same employees have been here since it opening. That is a testament of quality and a great workplace. So so good! Cannot wait to eat here again!

This is a casual, order at the counter kind of place. They have a bar but they don't ring you up or take your order there. So order both alcohol and food at the counter, then take your order number to the bar or to your seat. We sat at the bar. They have limited selection of wines and beer, no liquor. The restaurant was clean and really well decorated inside. The food was good too. My husband is a BBQ conasuir and he loved the tri tip platter. I ordered the chicken with beans and mac and cheese as sides. All was very delicious and way more than I could eat. I had difficulty deciding we food item I should prioritize given that I was getting full. All was so good. They have a little area where you can load up on condiments, including 3 different BBQ sauces. We took home what we didn't eat and I was happy to see they use paper containers, not styrofoam.

Buckhorn is one of my favorite chains, and this location is no exception (I tend to go once or twice a month). Relatively small but nice area for indoor and outdoor dining. The bacon cheddar buck is my go-to but I've yet to be disappointed by anything on the menu. The red ranch sauce is superb.

Normally this place is great but we stopped by during lunch yesterday, Fridsy, and the food was subpar. We normally REALLY enjoy coming here but yesterday was definitely and off day food wise. The fries are normally very hot and crisp. Yesterday, Friday @ lunch service not so much hot nor crispy. We ordered caramelized onions but it didn't get picked up in the discussion so we had raw red onion on our burger. The Red ranch was OFF. Far too pungent, almost a rancid taste. Not sure what happened. We always have the mixed drink to the right of the soda and the strawberry lime was extremely watered down and I found a fuzzy something or other floating in my cup. Extremely disappointing.

Flavorless meat, flavorless grilled vegetables, flavorless sandwich. I have tried many BBQ places, chicken skin and fat didnt render out, soggy mess. Tri tip has no seasoning on it whatsoever and whole bunch of fat. Not worth it for the amount they charge. I would not return again.

Ordered fried pickles and they were crispy and fried perfectly. Also ordered the house blonde and it was cold and a perfect pour/head. Atmosphere is calm and very clean. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Tri-tip sandwich is unbelievable. Bun is the most amazing.

A little pricey, but TOTALLY worth it. I had the chicken avocado sandwich and it is the best one I have ever had. The burgers (hubby and son ate them) are made out of tri tip, and they have this great sauce both on the burger and served as a side for dipping.

Had the best meal! Ordered the FEAST for 2, was so delicious! Rocklin location, clean and great service. Casual setting, order at counter, and get your number -sat at the bar. We enjoyed good comfort food, for sure! Could not have prepared this meal ourselves for what we paid! We will be back! Yum!!

This was my first time to this location. It was very clean and the service was really good. The bacon burger is delicious. The flavor and cook of the burger was just right! As much as I love buckhorns they are pretty pricey.

Food was fantastic. We had the family feast and got to pick our proteins and sides. Highly recommend since you get the most bang for your buck. We visited with our kiddos and had a spill, to which multiple employees saw and stepped over while we got on the floor to clean it up. That was my only complaint. They could have been more attentive

Food was "off the hook" good and I had the tri-tip meal. My son had the giant pretzel and the kids had a number of different items. Beer was good and the place has self service on sauces, drinks, etc. Atmosphere is okay and place is a little pricey. Overall worth going...but better pricing would make it a place we would visit regularly.

It opened recently and we hadn't tried it yet. We went for happy hour at 3. I signed up for their points thing on line and got a free tri-tip bites, which was delicious. Also had rib bites and my husband had tri-tip sandwich... everything was delicious!! Service was great and restaurant was nice and clean. Definitely recommend to everyone!!!

Got the feast for 2 with chicken and ribs and a ceasar salad. Everything was brought out very quickly (which was fine) and all at once. The food was fine, we didn't think it was anything to rave about. About an hour after finishing up and leaving, my boyfriend became very ill and stayed that way fir hours, in and out of the bathroom. I, too, felt a little nauseous shortly after him but not to the degree that he did. He ate more than I did so we attribute it to that.

So we just ordered a meal for mother's day. While the service when ordering was good, our food was cold when we got home (we live 5 minutes away). We were waiting right in front of the register for about 30 minutes. We went up to ask how much longer our food would be only to find out our food had been sitting on the counter for who knows how long. When asked how long it had been ready we were told "Oh I am not sure. The bag feels warm." Our name was never called out. Very disappointing stating we spent $85+ for cold food.

Disappointed. I ordered burnt ends. And was told Tri tip pieces were the closest they have; not even close. Half of each piece was a slab of fat. Thee flavor was ok, but not close to Dickeys or Lucille’s.
