I was going to another place for brunch, but when we arrived, they stated it was a 40-minute wait. We were hungry and decided to find another place. We found this place on Google and decided to go. We arrived at the place and we had to get our own seats. You then have to order your food and pay before you eat. We placed our order, they brought the bacon, and I was expecting the food to come right after they brought the bacon. 5 minutes went by, and I had to ask for them to keep the bacon warm. The food arrived with my coffee. You have to get up and put the sugar in coffee. Food come a metal sheet and wax paper on the bottom and food on the top. You have to make sure you dont eat the paper. You have to get your utensils from the cashier. You have to ask for ketchup, salt and pepper. If you are looking for brunch with mimosa, this is not the place. Decorations are cute.

Delicious food; chicken was a little fatty, but all flavors were excellent. Never has cold Earl Grey tea, and it was just as delicious as having it hot; only you don't get that aroma like when it's hot. Service - good for the most part; first server seemed a little curt...not sure if we came in unaware that they were soon closing. If she had given us the alert when we walked in/sat, we would have ordered to ho or just left. Anyway, the manager was more pleasant and generous; we appreciated her kindness. Atmosphere - love the open concept...brings the outdoor indoor and vice versa. I would like to dine here again; I promise to view the hours and go earlier 😆

This was a gem! They have a few outdoor seating if you want to bring your dogs. Seamless ordering inside then they bring your food out. We ordered coffees and food that do not look like the ordinary diner food. They taste exquisite as well! If you want to bring your pups, this is the perfect spot! Even though the outdoor seating is by the highway, it's worth it to check it out. Since cars are parked next to the outdoor seating, it serves as a layer blocking out the noise.

Our favorite breakfast spot, highly recommended. The stuff is friendly and polite and their dishes are tasty, and simply delishious.

Street meter parking available. The food was good, a little under flavored for my liking but they had condiments on the side which was helpful. The service was good. They’re very kind individuals who work the counter. However, it’s a little different that they expect you self-seat, order your food when you’re ready back at the register, then sit back down and they’ll bring the food. Different dine-in experience. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s not bad! The atmosphere is very cute. Very creative decor. I wasn’t able to try any of the sweet breakfast items so I will surly come back to try that and up my ratings hopefully! Looking forward to it!

First timer, experienced a clean place, friendly staff, and delicious food. Had the proscuitto egg sammie, and banana crumb pancakes with a side of eggs and maple bacon. Food was cooked perfectly, and came out looking nice AND hot! I had an oat milk cappucino and i can't wait to go back.

Another Saturday, another review and again we find ourselves in Rockville center but this time at The flour Shoppe Cafe. What a charming little place on sunrise highway with bar stools and seating on the inside with a nice amount of outdoor seating in the front (if you don’t mind the vehicles whipping by). Service is a simple order and pay at the counter first with a numbered wooden spoon given to signify where you are when you grab your seat or table. Food wasn’t quick which is alright in my book as long as it was made well and right and boy was it made right. Perfectly cooked as instructed and tasty. Coffee was delicious as well with a vast amount of options to choose from. All in all another great pick in the Rockville center area! We will be returning soon

This is is a very cute breakfast place and a hidden gem in RVC. It is very small so the wait time is extremely long. I’ve gotten a few of their breakfast sandwiches and the banana pancakes which are all delicious. Unfortunately last time I ordered the coffee crumb cake pancakes, and they were absolutely disgusting. It was as if they poured straight black coffee into the batter. It left me very disappointed. Aside from that I do love this place

This place is still standing and it should. The food is tasty. However they should have waitress service. I shouldn't have to find a seat then get up out of my seat and place my order and when finished bring my dirty tray up to the front counter. 🙃 so much trouble. Another thing is the decor I remember it being brighter and smelling delicious baked goods. That is gone. That is sad 😔

Me and my friends were looking for a place to sit indoors because all the places in Manhattan were outdoor dining. We traveled from the city to check out this place. We were able to sit where we wanted but had to go to the register to place our order and the waiter brought over the food to us. None of us really enjoyed the food but the water. Three adults and one child. I felt the food was rushed and not seasoned well. And I ate a half done raw burger! I was really hungry so I went with the burger and added salt, pepper, ketchup and it already had bbq sauce so it made it more tasty. I didn’t notice how raw the burger was until my friend ask “you eat your food that way”? And I said what you mean and she pointed out the half done cooked burger. I should of took it back to them and ask for a fully cooked burger which I would of thought they would of asked how I wanted it done but I just let it go and decided to write this review and took photos. And they were about to close so we didn’t bother because my friend said his burger was the same because he noticed it but said he didn’t want to make a fuss. I know some people eat their food this way and I didn’t want to waste it but I shouldn’t have eaten it my stomach was messed up right after. The cashier and waiter seemed nice but the service of giving us a raw burger made me give them two stars. I will not be going back and don’t recommend because the food that we ordered wasn’t tasty.

I have gone to this Bakery a number of time at least four times. It's such a quaint cute little bakery shop. I want to like it. It's a small business in the community and I would like to spend my money and small businesses. But each time I go it is nothing but a disappointment. Every time I go in I stand there and no one greets me. No one says good morning, good afternoon nothing. I stood there and watched three female employees and one male employee just stand there today talking with their backs to me. ...a paying customer and no one had the courtesy to say hello, good morning nothing. Then when another co-worker walked in the back all four of them immediately said good morning to the co-worker. Why not greet the customer that standing right there? This isn't the first time that has happened either. Now let's get to the food... I have walked out once because they left me standing there for so long and no one asked me what I wanted. I have placed an order picked it up in my route home realize the order is completely wrong. The most recent bungle at this Bakery was this morning when I place an order came back, was standing there waiting... There was a bag on the counter behind the cashier, I stood there for about 10 minutes. Until the cashier finally realized my sandwich was sitting in the bag behind her. So now I have a cold sausage sandwich and to top things off the sandwich which is not cooked all the way through... Well today is the final straw. I just cannot support bad customer service and flat-out not good food. I will not be returning to this Bakery.

Stopped in for brunch because not many places were open before 11am. Easy to find parking (at least at 11am)meter parking in front of the cafe. It's a tad confusing for us first timer. We have to pick up our menus, get a table, decide what to order, go back to the cashier and order, gave us a number and they delivered the drinks and food. The place was quite packed for weekday. Only 2 wait staff working. They were trying. One was more pleasant than the other. We ordered 2 teas (they use Mighty Leaf teabags +1) Also, Chicken & Waffle and Breakfast Bowl. The food came out hot. Love my breakfast bowl. The chicken & waffle was a tad disappointing. The chicken was really good and juicy but the waffle didn't seem to be made at store. It was too sweet and not crispy at all... Overall good experience and will def come back and try other menu items if back in area

One of the cutest cafes in RVC! The Lemon Blueberry waffles were wonderful! I had it with a side of maple bacon and it was such a great brunch.

A friend of mine recommended this place and I can see why. The food was absolutely delicious. The coffee was great! The atmosphere was very tranquil and pleasant. I will definitely be coming back.

I love this little gem in RVC. The menu is reasonably priced, the food is fresh and healthy options. They also have a nice menu for coffee, teas and espresso. The service is friendly and polite. I love coming here. Please enjoy the outside seating during the warm season!

It's a nice cozy spot. You order your food at the counter, and they bring it to you at your table. Something that annoyed me: when they dropped the food off to my table, they didn't bring silverware. You had to get up and go get your own. That was a little ridiculous. At least have the silverware at the table or bring it with the food. The food was good. Maple bacon was tasty. I rated 1 star for service due to the fact that they only drop food off to you, and you are obviously on your own from there. If I'm going out to eat, I expect a minimal amount of service, and this wasn't up to par for my liking. I was expecting them to ask me to wash the dishes too. Instead of asking for a tip when paying, they should have tipped me since I did just as much work as they did.

  • 2/5 Alex S. 10 months ago on Google
I ordered on-line to pick up and was surprised that Tip is preset and mandatory. Ordered a few salads and asked for substitution of Champagne dressing. Once at home, we realized that we did not get the dressing we ordered. We live too far to warrant a second trip. we called but they did not offer to deliver it. If you are charging a Tip for service, at lease provide an acceptable level of service

Really cute spot, have been wanting to come here for a long time. Really cute and cozy atmosphere, outdoor seating is available and inside there are a few tables and “bar” seating. I must say I’m a bit disappointed. The manager was friendly but another girl really wasn’t and her attitude was uncalled for but what really wasn’t great was the food was cold! We waited awhile so to have the eggs, bacon, bread, turkey, and breakfast sandwich all arrive cold was really disappointing. Would like to give it another try because it really is a cute place with a nice menu, hoping for better next time

Flour Shoppe is a really cute and well decorated place to grab some brunch. I love the mix of metals and woods, the twinkling lights hanging across the brown tin ceiling tiles, cheese grater light fixtures, and other little details. I ordered the Egg Platter which came with 2 eggs, home fries, toast, and a choice of bacon or sausage. There might have been some timing issues with some new staff, since everything but the toast came out at room temperature or a little cold. The potatoes were fried with a bit of cheese which was a really nice touch and delicious. The bacon was super thick cut which I really appreciate, but the maple pepper glaze was super thick and tasted like teriyaki and not really my jam. The eggs were fine, nothing too special. If I come back I would definitely try something else from the pretty extensive menu.

First cashier wasn’t very welcoming I had a few questions on the menu since it was our first time but she looked like she did not want to be bothered . she was rude but as we looked through the menu another girl came in and she was super nice . Toasted vegan marshmallows were very tasty I liked them. The chicken sandwich was ok nothing too crazy . Will I go ? Maybe not but it was a very cute place .

Love this spot! Food is fantastic. Almost nothing we haven't tried, and have enjoyed it all....except the coffee....typically bitter & lukewarm......but there are a hundred more reasons to dine here! Omelets & sandwiches are always fantastic, love, love, love their sausage....oh man, that mac&cheese breakfast bowl.....and their pancakes are divine. Would give 5 stars if all this great food could come with an equally great cup of coffee.

You have to pay before you receive your food/drinks, which is unique and a great feature about this cafe. I loved the mac n cheese, especially with fried chicken pieces. Some of the items run a little pricey, especially since I would never spend more than $40 for two people at a cafe, but it’s great nonetheless. The staff are friendly. The vibe is rustic yet modern, and very comforting. I would recommend this spot as an afternoon date stop or brunch with family.

Very few restaurants and cafes are worthy of recurring visits and this is one of those places. The kitchen takes pride in their food and how it’s presented. The outside ambiance is a chill place to enjoy any meal. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

This place is an absolute gem. Granted I have not had more than their cake, croissants and coffee, but from what I had it's absolutely delicious. I hear people rave about their breakfast and lunch menu as well, which I will try. But personally what I love about this place is that the desserts and sweets are not overly sweet, which a lot of our bakeries are plagued with nowadays. Worth a try without question.

So many great, delectable savory and sweet options on the menu but I was in a rush so i opted for the most basic NY decision, Bacon-egg, cheese! It exceptionally good and cooked to perfection👌 service was super quick and the staff was kind and prompt. If I’m ever in the region again I’m definitely coming back 🙌

Sat at the bar for 10 minutes. Completely ignored with someone else's dirty tray in front of the us from the previous customer. Only 4 employees. Very busy. Very overwhelmed employees. Feel bad for them. Not their fault this place is so popular and small. You need quarters for the meter. The app to pay the meter doesn't work.

I've been in this place several times prior covid. This was my first time having breakfast after more than a year and a half of Covid19 pandemic. My experience here was pretty bad. Poor service & burnt potatoes left me very disappointed. I hope they change cause it was one of my favorite spots for breakfast.

Adorable little hidden gem of a shop! Chicken salad croissant sandwich and side salad were so good and everything so fresh and home made. Rainbow cookie latte with almond milk had real chocolate ganache in it. Got some little tarted/mini cupcakes to go. Would absolutely go back in a heartbeat and try other sandwiches or breakfast!

I love this breakfast/lunch spot so much! I brought out of town family here, and every dish was absolutely delicious and well made. The flavors are on point, and the service is always friendly. I've enjoyed better brunch here than at popular spots in Brooklyn/Manhattan. Thank you to the cooks and staff :) The only change I can think of is wishing it was a bit brighter/lighter inside.

Amazing food that's always switching it up for fun. Great prices, pastries to go and coffee. One of my favorite breakfast spots. Bring quarters for the meter outside and come early if you want a seat. The place is small so be considerate and keep it moving to let other people sit.

I came to this place for the first time in 2020 and it was busy and everything was perfect. I am sitting here now and not only are the servers extremely rude my hot coffee was not hot at all. So I asked for it iced. I ordered avocado toast which was pretty good. My friend asked for chicken and waffles and they said they didn’t have waffles so they brought out French toast without the chicken. My sons pancakes were burnt. The iced coffee and avocado toast were pretty good but everything else was a big fat NO. So sad because this place has so much potential never coming here again.
