My experience with Drs First was an absolute mess and I’ve been a patient for years. But after the foolishness, unprofessionalism and lack of care for a sick patient I am in search of a new primary. I called first thing in the morning to get a same day sick visit. The operator scheduled me for a 2pm in office visit knowing my symptoms and instructed me on the location in Rockville and also to wear an N95 or double mask. I arrive on time to my appointment only to arrive to a nonchalant at the front desk who immediately made me feel as if I was bothering her (I’m under the weather and sensitive mind you) She did attend to me nicely but still not welcoming. She stated they don’t do in office visits and she doesn’t see my appointment with Karen. (So I guess I just made it up Hunh) Anyhow she proceeded to book a Telehealth appointment which i left and took in my vehicle. I arrived at the office at 2:10. Telehealth at 2:40. So that’s a half hour. Telehealth appointment was blah and honestly I feel a waste of time. Anyhow she sent orders to two different places. The first one went fine. But when I arrived to the second they were surprised to have been sent orders because they don’t do any of the swabs sent there 🥴 now that’s another 45 mins wasted. I immediately called the office to express my frustration and Jennifer (thank you kindly) dealt with my issue very professionally and with compassion. She didn’t understand why they didn’t swab me at the Blackwell office for they have the means. She sent me back there after sending them a message. I arrive there five minutes later only to be met with the same front desk attendant who made me feel like I was interrupting her day. She immediately says no we don’t swab. I called Jennifer back and that’s when the front desk attendant began looking for the items. She comes back ten minutes later and says no we can swab you without a negative pcr. I told her when I first arrived and the operator on the phone when o made the appointment I was negative for Covid. 😡😡😡 now I’m super upset because it was such a lm awful waste of time. What kind of patient facility is this that the office doesn’t appear to be on the same page from the operators to the PAs docs and assistants. This is crazy. A person is not feeling well, you have them all over the place and they still go home unresolved in pain and no better. Just ridiculous. We seek medical attention because you all are supposed to be the professionals. Just sad all Around. Thanks for nothing Drs First except Jennifer because she was kind and compassionate. And for the record To all the health care providers: every sickness is not Covid related. People still do catch regular Colds, flus, viruses and have allergies. Please do better. And thanks to those who still have compassion and really care about their patients.

I felt very comfortable with Dr Nia at our first meeting. He was very thorough and took his time to gather information as I was a new patient. He showed genuine interest which is often hard to find in a doctor. He spoke as one human being to another so that I felt respected. So glad I gave Doctor's First a try

It pleases me that, at this point in my life, I've found the perfect doctor! I literally could not be happier. He goes above and beyond for his patients... literally. Kind and very thorough, with a congenial bedside manner and an ability to converse in a language his patients can easily understand. My health has IMPROVED since being in his care. I most highly recommend him!

Dr. Caitlyn is friendly and very detailed with the checkup/visit. She makes me feel like she cares a great deal about my health and well being. She gave me great recommendations and alternatives for my health care. I will definitely recommend her as one of the best!!

My experience with Dr. Kazemi Nia was beyond my expectations. He didn’t rush me and he listened to me. He is gracious and kind. I highly recommend him.

I filled out check-in paperwork prior to the appointment. I was taken to the exam room exactly at my appointment time for my annual physical. They asked questions about my vaccinations, like shingles and tetanus and took time to see if anything was bothering me. I did not feel rushed at all, and the referrals I got were ready when I got to the front desk after the appointment. I had a good experience.

Very caring provider listens and wants to make sure that you are getting better. She scheduled a follow up to make sure that I’m getting better after the treatment she prescribed outstanding!

I had the best experience here. Excellent and attentive physicians and nurses, wonderful phone staff. It was a great experience and they tended to my health concerns. So grateful.

Dr. Kazemi Nia is very patient and thorough with his examinations. He is never in a rush to getyou out of the door and does his best to listen to all your ailments so to suggest further diagnostic tests and specialists to see if necessary. Dr. Kazemi Nia is a rare gem in my opinion when it comes to seeing a doctor these days. The front desk associate is very nice and I've never had to wait long to make appointments or see the doctor once I'm there.

Thank you for keeping me on track with my health. Being a busy mom, and wife with working causes me to put my health on the back burner but this office helps me remember that my health is important. We can get lost in the cracks sometimes but this office helps me remember that this is essential. I could barely walk in the office a couple years ago and now I feel so much better. I have a way to go but I have come a long way. Thank you.

Dr. Kazemi Nia is the best family doctor. He’s very knowledgeable, always listens to our concerns and makes sure that we get the proper care. He can also be reached anytime through the portal. Lastly, the office is always clean and the staff is friendly and approachable.

It is very easy to get appointment. The office is very clean and not too crowded. There is no wait time. We got in at the time of our appointment. The doctor spent good amount of time reviewing the lab work results and explained clearly what is going on with my mom’s health condition. Very happy with the service.

I've been going there for years and have seen several Doctors in First Medical's network and would highly recommend any one of them. They really take their time to find out who you are, what your needs are and how best to help you. And most importantly, they listen!!! I can't emphasize enough how great their association is. I would never go anywhere else.

The assistance at my doctor first is excellent and the experience you have is very good because of the staff, they are very kind people and the good thing is that they are bilingual. Dr. Karen Lizárraga is a very good and kind person, they always try to understand the problem you have. great job

The medical assistant was cold and no bedside manner. The PA didn’t even check my throat when that was my main complaint. I had to ask her to check my ears. Symptoms were text book sinus infection, she was short, and offered no advice, other than otc medication, and a nasal spray. Woke up feeling worse this morning, went to urgent care and was diagnosed with a sinus infection and pink eye.I want to clarify this review is for Karen Lizarraga. I usually see Renee Del Pointe, I have seen her for years and she’s responsive and thorough. I definitely recommend Renee.

My appointment was made mistakenly, for a different location. We switched to video call but the connection was terrible. Karen was diligent and followed up with what was needed. Gave me tips on improving #s and called in my prescription. Thank you, Karen.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the Blackwell Road office. As a new patient, with existing health conditions, it was alarming that they did not request my records from my previous doctor. When I arrived for a follow-up appointment, I was told that no one had requested those records yet, weeks after my first appointment. Additionally my call to request a refill for an important prescription had been ignored. The office was very nice, and the doctor seemed okay, but the lack of attention on the admin side is inexcusable.

A practice that cares about you as a patient. The staff is efficient and courteous. I was seen my Dr Kazimi Nia, who took the time to get to know me as a patient and treated me with kindness in addition to skilled expertise. You won't be treated as a number at Doctors First.

We’ve been with the Doctor First practice for 4 years now! The the doctors are very excellent.! The staffs are incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with!Dr.Baba is simply amazing ! They send prescriptions as soon as they said they will. Very fast! The office is very clean.! Parking is easy and the location is very easy to find! Hand down to this practice!

Dr. Lizarraga at the Rockville office is truly amazing. Thanks to her thorough examination and care, I am on a much better path to health! She truly saved my life. I came to her after experiencing a bad stomach pain at work and also being super tired. My eating was off, I was moody to people around me and couldn't focus. Based on a series of tests that she recommended for me, we found there were much deeper medical issues happening to me that I wasn't even aware of, including having iron deficient anemia. I was sluggish at work and was having a hard time walking up and down my stairs because I was unusually tired. My iron levels were so low that the Drs. didn't know how I was walking around. I am happy to say that thanks to Dr. L's care plan and connecting me to the right specialists, my energy is back, my mood and appetite is back and I am a much happier person. I will continue to take care of other medical conditions that also surfaced thanks to Dr. Lizarraga's care plan. I am so glad I selected Doctor's First and got to know Dr. L and her wonderful staff.
