This was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Service and atmosphere were excellent and I felt very welcomed. I ordered the large vegetarian sampler and everything was flavorful, warm, and filling. A large is enough for 2 meals or 2 people. I definitely want to stop here again when I’m in the area :)

The name has changed to Ethiopis Restaurant. I ordered to go and this is the most delicious tibs I have had in a while. I asked for less salt and not a lot of oil and they did. Everything was delicious the collard green, the yellow split peas. The portions were generous. Clean food. This will be my place to go. Please support this business.

Food was great! We are from NY so we’ve eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants and this place was by far one of the best we’ve been to. It’s cozy and, very pretty inside. Looks like it was recently renovated. The service was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Oh my god. I ordered The veggie combo & Lamb tibs, and IT WAS THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN OMGGG! ALL of it was so sooo delicious and flavorful. VEGETARIANS! This is your new favorite place! If I had this place back when I was vegetarian, I wouldn't have quit my diet lol. The veggie combo was so tasty and delicious, it didn't even need meat. Oh god, and it's even tastier as a leftover because the sauces seep into the engira and oh godddddd! These people have some sort of Ethiopian Gordon Ramsay working in their kitchen because the food gave me emotions! It was an emotional meal filled with so much .... flavor! It is soooo delicious and this is my new favorite place to eat, for sure!

They've changed names (Ethiopis maybe?) And shifted to a sit-down place that is lovely inside. Food is still excellent--flavorful and just-right spicy. I got a veggie sampler 5 item) that usually lasts me 2 meals.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. They have gluten free (GF) injera if you ask for it. Recommend that you confirm if it’s GF when served if Celiac’s is a concern. My kids loved it, too!

Great experience! The food is authentic and delicious lots of different flavors and a bit spicy. The price is reasonable the only downside is that the place itself looks too basic

Great foods! A bit under staffed. I wished there were more Ethiopian decorations.

This place is fantastic. I think most of their business is takeout but I recommend dining in here. The food is incredible. If you’re vegan or vegetarian there are amazing options. The meat dishes are supremely good also. The alcohol selection is limited but what they do have complements the food well (try the honey wine). Oh yeah and it’s reasonably priced. Nothing but good things to say about this establishment!

Excellent food, for a vegetarian I'd say this is beyond my expectation. The red lentils and beets are delicious. And affordable too. I've heard from my friend that dorowot is pretty amazing too.. best Ethiopian food in the neighborhood! I definitely recommend it.

Overall, I’d say that Ethiopis has some pretty good food and I like that it’s usually not too crowded whenever I would walk into the restaurant. Not to mention that the servers are very nice and patient. While I wish that they offered either some cheese or yogurt to cool off my mouth if a dish is a bit hot to my liking, in general, if you’re looking for a nice starter Ethiopian restaurant, then I’d say that Ethiopis would be a good place to go to. By the way, I highly recommend the vegetarian platters. They’re very colorful and they’re nutritious and full of flavor. Plus, you’ll be sure to have plenty of leftovers for breakfast once you leave. :)

Very chill and small place. I've been here twice now and my favorite thing is the lamb stew and trying food family style with my friends. It does not look like much from the outside but you can expect warm service and good food.

Pretty tasty Ethiopian food from a good location. Staff was nice and the food came out relatively quickly. The inside of the restaurant is fine--not overly decorated or fancy, but the general atmosphere is fairly neutral. I'd eat here again.

This Ethiopian restaurant is an amazing small business located in Rockville Maryland. The food is absolutely amazing and there are lots of options for many diets (vegan friendly). The portions are really generous and will make you very full. The food quality is top-notch. Each dish is spiced and well flavored. Highly recommend trying the vegetarian platter. Appetizers are equally as yummy. Betty was the server and did an amazing job making us feel welcome. Her recommendations were really good and made for a five star experience. The chefs are also very talented and put out some of the best Ethiopian food in the area. You will love this family small business! Come support this delicious restaurant. The place is very easy to find and there is plenty of free parking.

Go go go - you won't regret it!!! Quantity and quality of food is amazing, service was great and very quick. Photo taken after I ate till I was full. As soon as I walked in, I knew this was a good decision. It smelled as amazing as it tastes. Injera is perfectly tangy. Green beans & carrots are unexpectedly, deliciously sweet. Beef is kickin' with just the right amount of heat to clear out my sinuses. Lamb is savory. Collards are good. Cabbage & carrots are tasty as ever (and my personal favorite veggie). Supporting this local business (who opened during this pandemic - wow!) and eating Ethiopian food is a no brainer. Go make your tastebuds happy.

The food itself is tasty and is very fresh. I had an allergic reaction to the injera. I had asked and my partner double checked that the server heard me ask for gluten free injera. I assumed I had been served it but I started having an allergic reaction towards the end of the meal. The service itself was on the slower side even though there were not many customers at the time. The place felt very clean. The coffee was smooth and rich tasting.

My son took my here today. Such a nice little place. My son loves spicy food, me not so much but I said I would give it a try. Very nice staff, food delivered quickly. I will absolutely go again. The vegetarian menu was excellent. The collards, tomato and lentil platter was so good. I recommend you to visit this nice place. 👍😄

My favorite restaurant for the last several years. The Awaze Tibs is incredible - spiced perfectly - and there’s plenty of Ingera bread included for it. The regular Tibs is also wonderful. The other entrees that are ready to go are all good too! And the sides are all wonderful, especially the green beans and carrots. If you order any of the dishes from the steam table, you can be in and out in less than 5 minutes - can’t beat the convenience! The owner is wonderful and has the best memory of anyone I know - he actually remembers my order! Parking is never a pain, and my takeout is always ready on time when I order by phone. Amazing food, good people, and priced well. You can’t go wrong at Ingera Rock.

We loved going to Ethiopis! We ordered a lamb ethios I plate to share between two people, and we were both full at the end. The food was generous and delicious, prices very reasonable, and the server was very kind and sweet, giving us extra injera. I would definitely come here again!

We had dinner yesterday and all the items were awesome. I loved the Doro wot but the chicken piece was very small. The only suggestion I can provide is to have a bigger leg piece in Doro wot. Other than that, the customer service and the food was excellent.

Ordered takeout. The food was spectacular! Delicious, fresh. Had the Derek Tibs and Doro Wot, both were delicious. All the veggie sides we got were wonderful as well. Definitely recommend this place.
