    Never thought I would see the day. I've been a patient for over 30 years and called today very sick and was told I couldn't be worked in for four days! She actually told me I should go somewhere else. What is happening? Well, you got your wish, I'm out of that place!

    Very poorly run. I showed up to my confirmed appointment and was told the Dr wasn't in that afternoon. I was also told that I had a voicemail telling me that from the day before (false). The woman at the desk was more interested in arguing with me about having sent the voicemail than helping me reschedule. After all that it was going to be 3 months until they could squeeze me in. This was not the first negative interaction with their staff, but it will be the last.

    Very disappointed in RMFM. I left years ago due to poor customer service etc. However, my grandparents both stayed. My grandmother is still a patient there and has been for almost 30 years. She got sick and we called the office several times trying to get her into be seen. The response was they were short providers and had zero appts for the entire week. We were told to take her to the ER. We did and she was sent back home, in the following days she quickly went down hill. Called the office several times again to get help with an appt or a referral to get us some help to care for her. The office triage nurse was extremely uncaring, not only that they started questing US and our care for my grandmother who is 96 and who myself and my parents have cared for all along. The office manager even threatened to pull a phone call I made and insinuated I was lying about what was said on the call. I know what was asked and said (been a RN for 16 years). I do not recommend anyone coming here. They are struggling to care for patients because of lack of providers and many (not all) of the other staff are not kind or caring. Please find another place to go for yourself or your loved ones care.

    Will be finding a new primary care provider! New company bought Rocky Mount Family Medical and they use Quest Diagnostics for blood work. Keep getting bills after bills from them!

    DO NOT go to this facility. All they do is take your money and do not care about treatment. The customer service should be rated a negative one. If they don’t want to help you, they just hang up the phone. I would have given them zero stars if that was an option. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!

    I'll start off by saying my P.A. McLeod and his nurse are great when I see them. I went in months ago and saw McJunkins, he was supposed to order an ultrasound for me. I had to call back several times to get it scheduled. I finally had it done and months later I'm still waiting to hear back for the results. On another note, good luck getting issues solved with prior authorizations. Most everyone you talk to when you call sound irritated that you even called to get in touch with them. I've also had warnings about missed appointments that were supposed to be cancelled in the past and was told nothing could be done about it when I called and asked when they threatened to stop seeing me.

    Update from earlier post - After no response from Family Medical today after my mom continued to worsen from her visit yesterday, UrgentCare gave my mom 3 needed prescriptions and it was less expensive. They were pleasant/caring & so confused why Family Medical did not give her medication yesterday. Avoid Family Medical if you can. It’s borderline malpractice. The doctor finally called after 8 hrs and multiple calls. Previous post- I am not impressed with their patient care. I had to tell my mom to go to a different doctor for treatment. They can and should do better.

    Good evening I had a very beautiful experience with the lab tech Denise. She has a very lovely personality also very professional. We need more people like her. It takes a very special person to work in healthcare. I can tell that she loves what she does, because she does it with such great joy. She really made my visit a very pleasant one. I am looking forward to having that same exact experience. Denise you rock keep your head up and many more blessings are coming your way.

    This practice has been my primary medical provider for many years. I have consistently received excellent and compassionate care. Dr. Angott is great, and I just worked with Joyce Silver, who did a great job!

    I have been seeing various doctors for years now. Dr McJunkins and the staff are always quick to return a call or refill. My previous provider would literally order a lab, charge $600 and then not bother to discuss the results. At FMC, they call me 1-2 days later just to let me know labs are normal, then they discuss it on the next visit. In this age of one size fits all, turnstile medicine, I'm glad they are an exception to the rule.

    I absolutely LOVE my experience at RMFMC.. My provider and his nurse are very professional and attentive to what my needs are. Truly recommend this practice to anyone seeking a primary care provider.

    quest is the absolute worst the black girl upstairs will continuously stick you with the needle because she’s ready to go smoke. very rushed I cannot believe how bad this place is. i got home had bruises on my arm from the needle used. this had never happened to me before.
