Very fun way to stay cool this summer . Very affordable $5 per person , kids 4 and under are free . They have places to change and get snacks(drinks and snow cones too) and of course the carousel. Also there is a train ride that runs around the park on a schedule. A little further down the road there are tennis courts , baseball field and a small park with swings

Nice place to walk, bike, or picnic... I chose to kayak along the river. There's a boat ramp at the far end..

Awesome time for next to nothing, costwise. The only bummer, was while we were there, the train stopped running while it was just us and my 4 y/o grandson was heartbroken. He LOVES trains. Overall a great place to hangout, stay cool, for a minimal cost.

Photos show a playground and it looks like it has been removed. Everything was closed down when we were there. So probably a fun place in the summer but pretty empty and nothing to do in April.

It’s great for this area! We loved the splash pad…. BUT it is extremely SLIPPERY! I would suggest it being scrubbed to remove buildup that has made a slippery film I’m assuming. So many kids having fallen just in our 1st visit here, including my daughter, who at the time weren’t running at all! That could turn into a liability. Also, the young staff is aggressively yelling “walk” at these young kids, and that’s uncalled for. And why are they FOUR workers sitting by the splash pad?

I came here a year ago (August 2018) and i am here today 8/8/19...this puddle is still here at the foot of one of the 2 benches on the splash pad side (thought it would be fixed by now). There is 5 umbrellas but neither are above the benches, so bring a lawn chair if you'd rather be under the shade. The grass plus water makes a weird smell at this area but i guess it's tolerable. Besides the splash pad, there is a carousel, train, and another little thing they get on and it goes around. I see a skateboard section and a basketball court section as well. They have a concession stand too. It's only $5 to get in and it gives you access to everything. My kids like it here.

The children and I had a wonderful time. Merry-go-round was fun, and the children enjoyed getting wet!🥰

I don’t understand why the lights cant be turned on at night and why the skatepark closes at 7. You really don't understand how much this skatepark means to people I can’t skate during the day because I work during the day, but without this park I can’t relieve my stress, pain, and bitter emotions. It’s the only place I feel happy to be . Please consider changing this for me and every one of the guys and girls who feel the same.

Sunset park is a fun place to take kids. It has sprinklers and rides. There is a train that goes around twice, and a carousel. The prices is reasonable. Only thing I didn't like is the snow cones. The ice was like the ice from sheetz with some food coloring for a 1.00. So the ice didn't melt in your mouth you had at actually chew the ice and it didn't taste like nothing.

Awesome place if you're in the Rocky Mount area. They have a skatepark, pickle courts, water area, tennis courts volleyball courts with sand. Lots and lots to do there's a boat launch, paved walking paths.

I enjoy the thought of this place. However, the service is horrible. Always is. The workers seem to have attitudes. They close down everything early before closing time. Wish the city would update the property.

Awesome place to stop when your hotel room is not ready. There’s a splash park, merry-go-round and train ride! Only $5 per person for all attractions, and huge cups of ice cream (lots of flavors) for $3! The manager is super nice, as well as all of the employees. Great place to kill some time…

Nice, if flat, disc golf course with both shorts (orange) and longs (yellow) laid out to deliver largely different courses. Didn't drain well so avoid course after a big rain. Long hole transition from 10 to 11 is confusing and a long walk. Check the map on Udisc otherwise walk the road and add you pass the ballfield in the right, look left.

My 6 and 7 year old really enjoyed the splash pad. It’s a good time for little ones. I just wish they would repair some of the pavement.

Good place to bring the kids but a bit run down. Still worth going to cool down and enjoy a couple amusement rides.

Nice enough splash pad but seen 2 kids in 30 mins hit the ground HARD because of it being slippery. They had employees with ice packs I guess for this reason. I feel really bad for those kids...

All of the photos show a fabulous playground at the splash pad but it is not there. The other playground does not seem very safe. Plywood over an opening and broken plastic that is sharp.
