Very cool pace for ages to hang out. There are two sculpture gardens to walk and enjoy, ticket once, multiple entry. The gardens are filled with awesome sculptures and artworks, it is very well maintained, footpaths and clean and property paved, most parts are wheelchair friendly. The restaurant also provides a great place to stop for lunch and a rest from the gardens, great service, great food. Lots of parking spaces out back.

The website describes it as 6 art galleries, so I was disappointed to see it was actually just 6 different small rooms. Despite that, there were lots of brilliant pieces on display, from all around the world. The polar bear was my favourite! Highly recommend you avoid a public holiday weekend, we went over Easter weekend and it was uncomfortably packed. Would say it's worth a visit.

This was my first visit to Sculptureum & we were not dissapointed. (Just blown away). We were greeted with a warm & friendly smile by the lovely lady at reception. An impressive, out of this world, selection of beautiful artworks from a wide artistic base awaits to blow your mind. The property is huge, beautiful and is very relaxing. It's so rewarding to take the time & explore the artworks & the Tranquil Gardens. Food to buy onsite. (Menu attached in photos) Enough space for parking. The kids just love running & playing around. A place for the whole family to enjoy! Everything is just perfect. It's an amazing place for artists to be appreciated. Wheelchair Friendly. It takes about 2 hours to walk through, take your time as there's so much to see & appreciate. 5 STARS for sure. ***** *Photos attached*. P.S - We will be back. Date: 04/09/2022

Visited on a public holiday. There was a long wait to enter. The garden is very ordinary. Not many exciting sculptures. Some items in the gallery was good. There was an offer for the tickets and we went for half price. Otherwise they usually charge 45$ per person which i feel a bit too much for this place. Kids will have a good time.

Amazing! Loved it!!! Went for the sculptures and art and was very impressed. So refreshing to have fun pieces displayed in a fabulous setting. Very original and much needed alternative cultural experience for New Zealand. Book online it is cheaper and also the Book me website quite often have deals for this attraction

We had a couple of grabone vouchers and decided to visit. The sculptures and the gallery were outstanding. Great customer service upon arrival. Great for kids as plenty for them to explore, such as birds ,turtles, and a bunny. Restaurant and wine tasting require booking. Otherwise, hot chips, coffee, drinks and ice cream are available from the ticket counter.

A truly amazing place, well worth the hour drive out of Auckland. Spent a good couple of hours here wandering through the amazing outdoor sculptures and gallery inside. I thoroughly recommend this place.

We did as afternoon activities for family. We liked the sculptures and the walk around. We bought tickets on bookme for $27 per adult. Definitely better price than $50 on sport.

One of your classic outdoor museums, quite a lot of visitors but didn’t feel too crowded. Worthy of visiting once. Not sure about a second time though. You can spend half a day there, including eating at their restaurant.

The entrance and parking are easy to find from the main road. The first garden (across the little bridge) is okay, but would not be the main attraction (some strange sections....some "shrine-like"). The posters have a sort of "young" language (basic, not hip). The internal art gallery is mesmerising. I could have spent much longer in there but found the one way system sometimes shunted you done the line a bit quick. The other garden (with the famous pink snail) was very entertaining for my 4 year old. It has cute and cartoony sculptures at the beginning. The outside gardens are covered with well-established trees and are cool with gentle breezes. There are some truly serene spots to find a bench to sit and contemplate. The food truck area was nice enough (shaded tables and beanbags and some outdoor table games). However the hot food took about 30 minutes to cook. We only ordered hot chips but they were cooked in 5 separate batches.... Also the 15% surcharge on $7 portions of chips was quite steep. Probably wouldn't have food there next time, but also didn't get the sense it was welcoming to picnics. Took a pram the whole way with no issues. Was offers a quiet corner to breastfeed my baby which was lovely and private.

Highly recommend visiting. Recommend doing the package that had food and tickets which was perfect - saves time as they have set menu. A huge variety of art to look at. Gardens are beautiful too. Lots of inspiring places to stop and reflect. (Love the Steve Jobs section.) Very well organised pathways. It started to drizzle rain and they were prepared with umbrellas at stations to borrow.

Went with family, there were nine of us (aged 17-70+yrs) and everyone loved it! Plenty of parking. Well kept place/grounds. Popular restaurant. Staff are amazing, welcoming and friendly. The weather was overcast but umbrellas are provided for the walk/stroll. Awesome gallery and garden!

Visited Sculptureum today. Amazing. Exceeded my expectations. The colour of the leaves are still so vibrant, even at this time of the year and that's just the trees! It's amazing how art can really trigger emotion. I came out feeling inspired and wanting to nurture my own (tiny) creative nature😍

What a great spot to explore! Would be great for families. Excellent customer service, very friendly and welcoming. We were traveling in a campervan and were relieved to find parking was a breeze. We visited in peak season (early new year), so arrived early to avoid crowds, and glad we did as when we left, the car park was very full! Arriving early allows plenty of time to stroll leisurely through beautifully shaded pathways, discovering quaint quirky signage and clever displays along the way. The art gallery was impressive, unexpected, and somewhat mesmerizing, with a great dose of colour and quirk! Loved it. The one-way automated doors were great, but were a touch confusing initially. Perhaps some glow in the dark signage or LED lights could be a fun addition here? (Although it is barely a second in between doors closing and opening). Smart supply of loan umbrellas available at the entrance to the final garden were a nice touch. Wish we'd lingered a touch longer here, but needed to get away and was incredibly hot day, so we kind of raced through (not before snapping the famous snails though!) The restaurant appeared incredibly popular (definitely book ahead!). We were pleased to find the food caravans but wish there could have been a smoothie or milkshake as an option.

Went with family, there were 13 of us (aged 2 years - 70+yrs) and everyone loved it! Plenty of parking. The gardens and grounds were well kept. Staff were amazing. There are umbrellas in case if it’s raining. Amazing place, a must visit for everyone .

An experience not to be missed. Amazing gardens and art gallery. The quality of the sculptures, art and garden designs are one of the best in Auckland. Once finished, enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant.

Fantastic sculpture park with multiple areas. Lovely restaurant too. The sculpture park works well with children, is quite expensive - but the pieces are incredible and the garden is very well structured and maintained.

This place is worth going, and I would like to visit again in the future:) It is saperated into three gardens and six galleries where there are more than 800 works displaying. I love the Palm garden the most, and the Pink Snail Garden is fun too! Other than sculptures, there are also some real animals, including bunny, turtles, parrots and so on. One of the parrots can say 'Hello' again and again, which made us lingering for a long time😆 Free carpark outside, and the ticket is 49.50 pp (it's 38 pp if you're a resident). Staff is nice and welcoming.

Very interesting to look through. A real range of art and sculpture and well laid-out. Nice little aviaries to add something extra, which my non-arty partner enjoyed. Being locals, there seemed to be a discount available with online booking that reduced the entry price for us.

Two beautiful gardens and an amazing gallery, lots to see and plenty of awesome photo spots! We came on a lovely sunny autumn's day and easily spent more than a couple of hours here, would have stayed longer as the art gallery was surprisingly good and we loved everything on display there. Really enjoyed watching the colourful birds, rabbits and turtles too 😊

The absolute stunning place if you are interested in different forms of art. I loved gardens and art gallery. Kids will love this place with multiple farm animals and birds in the gardens. Must visit if you are close to Matakana and I personally feel its under-rated place. But worth to visit it.

Took the kids for a day out at Sculptureum and we loved it. The grounds are beautifully kept, the staff are welcoming and lovely. We enjoyed the art and gardens so much. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but we'd love to do that next time.

We are so glad to get the special tickets to visit this unique place. The garden is sitting on an open and wide area. It's amazing as you pass through the main entrance. With over 800 items of collections, you don't need to be an artist, you will be impressed. Lovely restaurants on site.

A day trip suits family with kids. I love the private art collections in the gallery. Feeling peaceful and refresh after walking in the garden a couple time. We also chilled out in the restaurant. Ensure make your booking before arrival to avoid disappointment.

Lovely collection of artwork, displayed both indoors and outside. The gardens are truly the highlight, and all the info markers have a sense of humor. Nice for a couples outing, topped off by a light meal at the on site restaurant, Rothko. BTW, decent vegetarian options.

Good value for money. Different type of creative gardens. Also bought wine from there. The receptionist was amazing, she has so much energy and passion at the entry to help the guests.

Great place to add as a stop on a day trip to Matakana. I would suggest going on a Saturday, making the most of the markets in the morning and some food, and then a trip to the Sculptureum to spend the early/late afternoon wandering the artworks and gardens. Enough to keep a family busy for an hour or two, if you have some snacks and a packed lunch (although cafe and restaurant on site).

Sculptures were interesting and the place was really well kept! The recommended time on their website was very accurate if you were going to take your time and read the descriptions on the artworks. It was a bit hot when we got there so it was really nice that there were umbrellas available for guests to take by the entrance. Really good experience

I can easily say this is the best art collection and gallery myself and my 80-year-old Gran have ever seen. My Gran is very arty and loved every area of this place. A wonderfully curated collection of modern art (with a dabbling of historical pieces also) set in a perfectly landscaped environment. Easy to walk, a layout which takes you around every work of art so nothing is missed. We experienced a wine tasting part way through the day of wines produced on site. Visiting a standard Art Gallery after this will be a very dull experience.
