I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel and my experience left much to be desired. The most significant letdown was undoubtedly the room size. I can't help but wonder if I mistakenly booked a broom closet instead of a standard hotel room! Upon entering the room, I was greeted by an overwhelming sense of claustrophobia. The space was so cramped that it was a challenge to move around without bumping into furniture or the walls. The bed seemed to swallow up most of the room, leaving barely any space for basic amenities. I had to hop over my suitcase just to reach the bathroom, which felt like a miniature version of what one would expect in a budget hostel. Furthermore, the lack of natural light added to the room's depressing atmosphere. A single tiny window barely provided any glimpse of the outside world, making me feel as if I was trapped in a dark cave. The bathroom was another disappointment. It was so tiny that even turning around was a struggle. The shower stall was so cramped that I felt like I was showering in a phone booth. To top it off, the water pressure was weak, and the temperature fluctuated between scalding hot and freezing cold. The overall cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best. Dust accumulated in corners, and the floors seemed like they hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. I even found a stray hair on one of the supposedly "clean" towels. To make matters worse, the staff's attitude was indifferent at best. Upon raising my concerns about the room size and cleanliness, I was met with a dismissive response, as if my complaints were inconsequential. It seemed evident that they were well aware of the room's shortcomings but were unwilling to acknowledge them or offer any meaningful solutions. Despite the hotel's appealing location and some decent amenities, the abysmally small room overshadowed any potential positive aspects of my stay. For the price I paid, I expected at least a reasonably sized room with a sense of comfort, but instead, I got a cramped and disappointing experience. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and comfortable stay. If you value your comfort and peace of mind, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodations.

Well, the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo is a very nice 4 stars hotel near Rome, a beautiful lobby with great staff and service, and an excellent breakfast. However, the only issue was that the hotel rooms are outside the lobby in different buildings which can be problematic sometimes. Other than that the experience was perfect.

The experience in the hotel was horrible. The rooms are underwhelming, with no amenities, not even a small bottle of water. The temperature is impossible to regulate, making it a very uncomfortable stay. The direction gives priority to external visitors of the event center against hotel guests for parking. The check-in was slow, with staff prioritizing phone calls over guests waiting in the line. Since the hotel hosted a party during our stay, we heard loud noises, banging, yelling, blasphemy, and death threats until early morning. Drunken people all over the corridors, dirty, smelly of alcohol, and unsafe until 5.00 am. I went to the lobby to request that some security took action, with no results. As a consequence I was able to fall asleep only at 6.00 am, and wasn't able to enjoy the expensive breakfast included in the booking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The most rude reception staff, topped by a porter who throws around the luggage with no regards to the contents- somehow he busted open a can of red bull inside a solid Samsonite case. The reception staff lied to myself and the tour operator regarding room changes as there was no WiFi, but blamed us for a miscommunication. Takes approximately 40mins to 1hr to get into Rome, definitely avoid this hotel at any costs.

Great location close to Ciampino airport (15 min drive). Eur Fermi metro station is a 30 min walk, but can be reached by bus or taxi. The parking is very convenient. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of savoury and sweet food. The coffee is freshly made by the staff and was great. The room are spacious and have everything you need. Only negative side is that you can hear noise from the street and the room was extremely warm. The aircon wasn’t working (in december) and I slept very bad.

Fabulous place great pool,( shame you need a swim cap to get into pool). Even if you're like me and never put my head in the water. Lovely pool side bar. Great buffet breakfast( unfortunately no gluten free toast/ bread or cakes). Next to a huge shopping centre with so many shops and places to eat. Only 20Euro from heart of Rome in a cab. If you can work out bus its right outside. Cant check in before 14:30 but they will hold you bags for you. After travelling 30hrs a room would of been nice though

I stayed this hotel with a tour group of closed friends 22 person at building 3 which has 3 floors. The hotel located a bit far from city center of Rome about 30-45 mins by driving. However the standard room is a quite smaller than other hotel at the same level and location. Breakfast is western style and has the same items every day. Huge parking is available and suitable for tour bus. There is a separate function building for c9nference and seminar or wedding party. There is mall near by just 5 minutes walk.

My low rating is due to the completely unacceptable behaviour of the lady at the reception. Although she gave us a double room, instead of a triple room as our voucher confirmed, she was yelling to me over the phone asking me to confirm that we will stay at the triple. When I told her that the room was too small for three people but we didn't have a choice and asked her to give us a few minutes to return the key from the previous wrong room, as we were carrying our luggage, she told me that we were guests and we should report immediately to the reception. Sorry but the client who has prepaid for a room is not suppossed to accept such a behaviour. I didn't ask for the manager because I didn't want to waste more time of our vacation. Although the breakfast was fine and the hotel clean enough, I would not choose this hotel again. And I would not recommend it because it is far away from the city center.

Wow the staffs of Cristoforo Colombo are the best. I give them 100% hospitality and the people and environment is also children friendly. We spent 5 night and it was awesome. I had a great time with my family over there. And right next door is a nice mall. The kitchen staffs were also pleasant

Perfect place for a stay when visiting the old city of Rome. The rooms are a little bit small, but still comfortable. There is an outside pool area. The restaurant offers dining with well prepared and presented menus. The breakfast is rich and complimentary.

The place is super nice. The breakfast is very good. Location not convenient with public transportation. The annoying thing is that you are obligated to wear a hair cap at the swimming pool and make you pay for it.

Very noisy during the night, couldn't sleep and I am assuming the stuff doing their jobs during night. Not recommend at all, most of the stuff couldn't speak english and you can not communicate with them properly. No bottel water in the room, mattress smells bad but my most complain is about the noise during night. So disappointing.

My husband and I, had this trip on November 2023, the location is not so good for tourism but perfect for business congresses, rooms are clean and nice decorated except the first night, the unkind receptionist charged us extra for “ city taxes” and gave us a room in the parking area where all busses come and go…Our reservation was fully prepaid, and no one hears my complain about it… Thankfully they charged us this horrible room to a nice one like the pictures in internet. Never took our money back, at least we had a nice room and good breakfast!
