A great bridge to take pictures from. Especially during the sunset you can take some amazing pictures. You see the, undoubtedly more beautiful, ponte vittorio emanuele II which is a magnificent bridge and behind it the top of a palazzo. So, as most of you will have understood at this point, the photographs are amazing from here. Do cross this bridge when you are in Rome and you will remember me.

January 2023: The bridge has 3 brick arcades covered with white marble. Between the arcades there are two single-lancet windows with rounded arches. The arcades divide the Tiber into 3 branches by 2 pillars that vaguely look like ships. It links the Basilica of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini and the area of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II to the tunnel that brings to Via Aurelia through Via di Gregorio VII. The bridge is dedicated to Prince Amedeo of Savoy-Aosta, Viceroy of Ethiopia. The building of the bridge was committed to the Company Stoelker, while the design was realised by the Municipality of Rome. The bridge was completed in 1942, after 34 months and several interruptions. During the construction, a provisional iron bridge was released, in order to allow the circulation of traffic.

Okay so don’t get me wrong, a really cool spot, but by far the dirtiest place over ever been that was supposed to be nice. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the amount of trash. I mean all of Rome is covered in trash, but I have never seen anything like this. Literally trash covering every step and plant. You have to dodge trash flying at you through the air. There was broken glass everywhere to the point where it was unsafe and it smells strongly of human urine. Its unfortunate that such a pretty place is so gross.

Unfortunately, a lot of garbage spoils the view

It's a nice large bridge with many statues on both sides, but the bridge has a big car traffic and under the bridge there are many poor people. The bridge also needs better cleaning and conservation. The statues are in great shape and impressively big and shows you the way.

The scenery is very nice and it is a suitable place for a leisurely walk. There are many places to rest for a while nearby, so please visit them.

Very interesting architecture, although nothing special compared to other Romes buildings. While standing on the bridge the view would be very nice if the water wouldn't seem so dirty. Nice place to taste the breeze of a wind

It's a bridge, nice to look at. At night there are bars and music on the riverside which can be approached from stairs at the bridgehead
