Our visit on Saturday morning. There is not much going on. The market is felt to be geared towards tourists. Spices, products with truffles, oil and vinegar. But also t-shirts and flowers. The square is lined with a number of restaurants and bars. A visit is nice if you want to get to know Rome away from the big culture.

Experience this place as a flower, fruit and veg market during day time. Don't get sucked into the vendors (the ones that sell everything else but flowers, fruits and vegs) as they could be quite aggressive. Come at night and you will see this place transfroms to something very different. The restaurants, cocktail bars and terraces around the market are fabulous places for romance or meetings of any kind, along with sightseeing of sunsets. (July 2022)

Very charming space with so many unique and variety of dishes and places to eat, shop and drink in a relaxing atmosphere til late dinner hours, a stroll is not as simple when so much to consume in every direction!

Make sure to check the hours of the market ahead of time. Great area to shop around getting everything from fresh flowers, to fresh fish, limoncelo, or souvenirs. Lots of restaurants in the square as well. Can be quite busy but it adds to the atmosphere of the area. Very interesting history as well so read up on, or look into it before hand to notice some extra cool things.

It was a lot smaller than I expected. However, it was nice to check the market out and the surroundings. They mainly sell fruits, vegetables, souvenirs, pastas, spices and etc. It’s worth to go check out and walk around there.

A beautiful spot in the center of Rome that has an open air market with many vendors and food stalls. You can buy anything from shirts to cheeses to olive oil and so forth. Well worth the visit. Enjoyed some nice cheeses and food here at the various food vendors in the market

Campo dei Fiori is not a flower market that many tourists assume. Campo dei fiori literally translates to "field of flowers" and derives it's name from the middle ages when it was a meadow of flowers and vegetable gardens. Now it is the site of a farmers' market with vendors selling fruits, vegetables, and other artisanal food products, surrounded by cafe/bars, restaurants and small shops and bookstores. The farmers will often allow you to sample what you are buying, and sure you can buy fresh produce in many markets around Rome, but this one is famous probably because of its long history and location in the middle of the Centro Storico district. Go any day of the week if you want to avoid the crowds on the weekends. Note that most of the vendors close up shop at 3pm.

One of the oldest markets in Rome. Since 1869, every morning, except on Sunday, the square is heaving with colourful stalls sellingΒ fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry and fresh fish. It's also within walking distance to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Via del Corso, Trastevere, and the Colosseum.

During the day there is a vivid market targeted for tourists, it looks local first but all the items sold here are repeated in the next stand. I wanted to take a photo of Giordano Bruno's statue which wasn't possible at day time (too many people and stalls). In the evening the piazza has cleared and only the restaurants surrounding it remain.

Great place for shopping local goods, flowers and souvenirs. Around 15:30 they start packing staff so it’s better to go in the morning when you will have greater selection. There is a gentleman selling kitchen supplies and he has his own show, make sure not to miss it. πŸ˜… Next to Campi de’ Fiori are a lot of local restaurants.

Had to meet here fir a food experience trip and so glad I came . Beautiful square with lots of stalls unfortunately not all run by Italian people. The store holders hassle you to buy but just ignore them

Incredible place, I wish I wasn't traveling with carry on luggage only to bring back everything you can find there. Sauces, spices, pasta, fruits and vegetables, just to mention a few. There are also lots of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the area.

Very nice place to visit and eat at. My suggestion is you have never visited Campo de Fiori go and visit. The Leonardo da Vinci museum exhibits are a must see. It's amazing you won't be disappointed.

Great evening location with lots of bars and restaurants. Music is good and varied and food is decent. A knock on the rating is the often dirty surface after evning events and market days.

Campo de’ Fiori is a piazza with the best of both worlds; Make-shift stalls selling t-shirts, souvenirs, vegetables, spices, kitchenwares and many others by day, and restaurants and buskers after sunset. The restaurants co-exist with the make-shift stalls in the daytime ensuring that there is something for everyone. It’s great if you can book an apartment with a view overlooking the piazza.

A market with food and goods. I bought nice leather bags and cheese with truffles. The products could be expensive compared to shops, so be mindful of it

I like these kind of markets but the sellers there don't leave you alone to go around and enjoy the market😣so we left there quickly.

Great places but beware of sellers over passionated to wanting you to try out their special sauce and oil, the guy even started swearing in different languages after knowing that you’re not buying, only having been there for two minute. Otherwise great places and scenery.

The market is not as large as most would imagine and there are no flowers despite its name, just fruit and vegetables alongside tourists souvenirs. The veg are fresh as Greta the dog eats a carrot there every time she passes by, as a treat from a friendly stall holder. Look up the monument to Bruno who would be friends with Steve Jobs and Elon Musk instead of being branded a heretic and burned at the same spot where his statue stands looking towards the Vatican. Get fresh juices (recommend the pomegranate) and peep into the shops nearby ( recommend 23baullari for nice shirts )

Fruits, vegetables, various wares. I was most intrigued by the colourful pasta, but upon seeing my interest in his product, the vendor began touting persistently. He kept pressuring me to have a taste of something despite my numerous rejections. I had to walk away at that point, as I was getting annoyed. There was a stall selling some roast pork. We got some in a bread roll. Tasty, albeit expensive at €10 with a mandatory bottle of water that leaks.

Lovely market. You can buy fresh fruits and vegetables there. You also find other Italian products such as olive oil, pasta, etc. as well. However, it seems like several stalls are selling the same things.

Beautiful outdoor market. You can buy fruits, vegetables ameat and more. There are vendors selling everything from pasta to clothes. Pick up a fresh fruit juice or simply buy a cup of fruits. Visit Norcineria Viola for great cured meats. The spicy pork jerky is amazing.

Classic tourist site, but still great. Many vendors with great fruits, vegetables, liquors, olive oil, and many more. Don't forget to check the small butchery with the pig head at the entrance. One of the best in Rome!! I always buy sausages to take home when I'm here. He can shrink wrap it so it easy to transport.

Not only has a perfectly centered spot but also has the statue of Giordano Bruno who was a philospher known with his cosmological theories. It is believed that he is the first person claimed that the earth is now flat. He was burnt by Rome Inquisition

If you're looking for a vibrant place to eat with good food, Campo de Fiore is one of the good squares to eat at with lots of variety from Italian cuisine to some French, American and Middle Eastern dishes. There's also a Gelato place nearby. Very energetic, but chill atmosphere. The Tiramisu and Cheesecake at the Mercarto was delicious.

I was sad, because it is place with monument Giordano Bruno, who was burned and died there and around monument was open air food market. I visited place in the evening and it was very dirty both of 2 days of my visiting. It didn't look nice. I thing, that it isn't right place for open air food market. Flowers were there only a few, so "Campo de fiori" is only historical name. There are some interesting buildings here.

Cheese, salami, and Italian spice mixes. All of the vendors we spoke with were great. Very friendly and helpful. Seems to be a mix of locals and tourists. All the cheese we bought was vacuum packed and labeled properly to bring back to California, so we had no issues at customs.

It is a traditional Italian open market where you can find a lot of stands with many different spices, stands for fresh fruits, and a special corner of the market is reserved for stands with beautiful flowers...and all around the market are coffee shops and restaurants where you can taste delicious food and drink tasty coffee and reasonable prices.

Memories of Campo de'Fiori in Rome! Mangos, sauces, lentils, pasta, vegetables I've never seen before, liqueur, cheese, and my fruit cup! Some say this market is too touristy. Sure, some items are, but I love looking at food and would highly recommend a visit. Food markets are worthy to stand alone as tourist attractions in my book! During the day the space is filled with vendors and ringed with fairly touristy bars and restaurants. It doesn't mean you shouldn't visit, just be prepared to deal with an endless stream of travellers wandering through aimlessly. Lovely at night and during the winter, otherwise, go and see it, but when you want to eat or drink...move to the side streets where the options are significantly better.

Pushy vendors, aggressive panhandlers. American tourist trap. Also, was the Executioner's Square where Bruno and others were burned alive. Just saying.

  • 4/5 Catherine Y. 2 years ago on Google
The top tourist market in Rome. The best place for multicoloured pasta and ready prepared sachets of condiments (which no local would buy) at tourist appropriate prices. Likewise you can find pretty crockery, various liqueurs and some fresh produce. For more genuinely Roman fare a wander down some of the neighbouring little backstreets will reveal treasures.

Lots of restaurants to choose from, and it's a safe area. Better signage is necessary for finding the taxi stand. Streets were dirty/sticky.

  • 5/5 Cristian M. 1 year ago on Google
In the mornings the market is full of sellers with fruits, vegetables and spices. After 5 PM they leave the square empty and you can enjoy the restaurant from the sides. An important point for your visit, considering Giordano Bruno died here for his ideas.

Lovely vibrant market around the sombre statue of Giordano Bruno, who was burned there at a stake. Exorbitant prices. You can get these products much cheaper off the beaten track, e.g. in Trastevere/Monteverde.

Great Market and very interesting place. The food in the eateries around there was very tasty. You do have to watch some of the sales guys as they are very persistent even when you say no. We did have one following us around trying to get us to buy and sample. You just have to learn to say no and stick to it if you don't want it. It's a very cool place to visit.

This was a meeting site for a tasting tour I was going on. It was quite exciting with a lot going on and I wish I had time to do a little bit of shopping. As in any public market, space, be prepared to be approached, watch your bags for pickpocket orβ€˜s, and of course, negotiate negotiate negotiate. I recommend doing a lap before you make any decisions, and if they offer tastings go for it.

  • 4/5 Cal L. 1 year ago on Google
I visited in the morning around 11AM, and all stores are in full operation. You can expect to see olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pasta, flowers, cheese, magnets, keychains, fruits, and kitchenware sold here. I observed that 70-80% of sellers are not the native Italians. They appeared to be immigrants (?), the common faces seen in most Italian souvenir shops. There are more tourists than locals who shop here. If you want to experience a fragment of local life, this place may not be it. A good alternative is Testaccio Market, where the shop operators and crowd are mostly locals. Nevertheless, if you are short on time or happen to be in the neighbourhood, it's still worth visiting. It is convenient to do some shopping for souvenirs, although you could get better deals at supermarkets since most products sold here are grocery items. This market is not far from Fiumi Fountain/Fountain of Four Rivers, and the nearest metro station is Spagna.

This is a nice market although it’s very touristic. The locals don’t go here and the selection is mostly edible souvenirs. There is some vegetables and fruit selection and a bit of clothes as well
