Worth visiting, a hidden gem in the center city with a lot of valuable pieces of statues and painting that illustrating the history of Roman empire. If you go up to the 3rd floor, you can enjoy the top view of Piazza Navona.

Worth a stopover on the free museum days the first Sundays. The exhibits mostly centred around 19th century Rome so I didn’t find them as engaging as ancient art or history museums. Mostly every exhibit is translated in English but I was disappointed many of the beautifully panelled rooms didn’t have explanations of the design. Was there about 40 minutes.

Not a very "well known" museum in Rome, but it's one of my favorites. The gallery path makes sense and is organized in a manner that illustrates Rome's history after the fall of the Roman empire and how it grew amd expanded over time. It illustrates what a lot of the famous monuments looked like back in the day and explains extensively about Rome's various upgrades and changes, including a bonus film about the gallery/building's own interesting history. Highly recommended if you've seen all the main sights in Rome.

This is a very nice museum, with a very unique collection and display. There are plenty of great works of art to see, there are lots of nice, statues, paintings and artifacts. The collection is very well preserved and displayed. The grounds are very well kept and maintained, there’s lots to see and do in and around this area. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend checking it out.

A bit expensive, but worth a visit. There weren’t many visitors and the paintings were very historical. Offers an excellent view of the plaza through it’s windows. The air conditioning wasn’t that strong though.

The building is amazing and especially on the third floor there is a very interesting little exhibition of the evolution of the Roman architecture. The second floor you'll find a little bit of history of the clergy and romans aristocracy through the centuries but no ground breaking paintings.

Such a great hidden gem! My spouse and I went at 2:00pm on Sunday and we basically had the whole museum to ourselves. It has 20 different rooms that go through distinct points of Rome's history. We spent 3.5 hours there but could have been there for longer. It was such a lovely experience and thoroughly worth going to, especially if you're feeling a little overwhelmed by the masses of people at the Vatacin

Another blockbuster palazzo/museum, very well labelled and organised. Good explanations of how modern Rome came to be with the re-engineering of the Tiber, urban redevelopment and construction of public parks.

It's a nice museum, though I would've found it more interesting if it were structured in a different way, I believe. The museum is made up of two routes, one where you learn about Romes history and the other where you learn about all kinds of people, that lived in Rome and their stories. I personally would've preferred the people and their stories to be sprinkled all throughout the other historical paintings, stories and artefacts, that you can see on the first route.

Incredible beuatiful and interesting museum (yet underrated) next Navona Square. Fascinating story of how Facists (Mussolini) demolished and clear up the papal buildings to bring out the old Roman ruins in view.

Amazing pieces of art are displayed. However, the temporary exhibition is ONLY in Italian. In a tourism capital. How did you think? The art deserves more of the written history, and the signs need more information. I suggest a sticker “route” on the floor as many other art museums do, to give the visitor the correct order of viewing. It is confusing and underwhelming as it is now, just showing the masters work is not enough.

(Translated by Google) Palazzo Braschi is a beautiful building with an extraordinary view of Piazza Navona, home to the Museum of Rome, the keeper of many portraits of Popes, cardinals but also various personalities of Italian history and beyond. It houses, among other works, the splendid busts of some representatives of the Barberini family and two very rare fragments of the disappeared apse mosaic of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican (Original) Palazzo Braschi è un bell'edificio con vista straordinaria su Piazza Navona, sede del Museo di Roma, custode di molti ritratti di Pontefici, cardinali ma anche personaggi vari della storia italiana e non solo. This is one of the best organized and curated art museums I have attended. It not only does an amazing job of outlining a collective narative of the city, but does so through art pieces that encapsulate the zietgeist of the era they depict. My wife and I attended the museo at 2pm on a Sunday and had ample space to enjoy the pieces while having light conversation. The staff are kind and helpful, giving assistance when needed. We highly recommend this as a stop for any one staying in the city for a visit or someone who is just passing through.

A collection of second class "art". It is uninteresting and uninspiring compared to what you can enjoy elsewhere - you are in Rome after all so plenty to choose instead. If pressed for time, don't waste it here. But otherwise ok for a couple of hours, if only to get out of the sun.

(Translated by Google) A magnificent building that houses a beautiful permanent collection presented in an exhibition itinerary prepared with great care. The path is "divided" into two parts: the rooms that make up the so-called "private apartment" of the Braschi, where the themes and works have a more intimate character, and the "public" rooms in which the story focuses on public and official aspects of the history of Rome, starting from its image over time and through the great events that characterized the transition to the modern age. I was also personally very impressed with the temporary exhibition on antique toys.

A splendid gem of a Palazzo - especially about the development of Rome as its modern self, around the historical centre. A very interesting overview of some Italian history. I loved the early 20th century films of demolishing, digging out, and restoring ancient Roman monuments in Rome; the amazingly painted rooms; the stunning floors, the staircase; and the elevators. Almost 100% accessible - I cannot be completely sure because I can manage some steps. I recommend this museum for a quiet afternoon - follow it up by people-watching in Piazza Navona.

(Translated by Google) Palazzo Braschi is splendid, recently renovated. Inside a temporary exhibition, until 10 January 2021, very well set up with toys from 1860 to 1950: dolls houses furnished and not, dolls, cars, trains, planes, ships and sailing ships, spinning tops and much more. Very nice and interesting exhibition. A must see! Online booking or via 060608 Municipality of Rome.

Beautiful museum. Exhibition on Rome as Italy's capital is certainly subject to historical interpretation. It's imperial Rome and the Catholic Church that made Rome what it is today -- not Freemasons and their anti-clerical allies.

(Translated by Google) We visited today the vintage toy exhibition, with our Samuele, almost 5 years old. Splendid palace, framed by an always spectacular Piazza Navona. The exhibition is very well prepared: sober taste, graceful atmosphere. The treasure hunt integrated into the itinerary was much appreciated by Samuele and allowed us a complete and detailed visit of the ten rooms. Dear staff, provided the bookshop. We returned home happy with our findings.

I went to see the Klimt temporary exhibition today. Booking was necessary, but really it was probably the most crowded exhibition I have ever been to. It must be because it's just begun, but I don't see the point of booking if I have to queue behind people taking photos of the paintings to be able to see the paintings.

Next to Navona piazza, I paid for the regular exhibit ticket. Two floors of art that is interesting and good enough to spend an hour of your time. The temporary exhibition requires a higher ticket price an occupies the 1st floor. It was hot inside when I visited during August.

Not a bad museum and a beautiful building but the entrance price is a bit high for the average collection it has. Museum itself is rather small, the collection is not that special. Expected more. (Also, the staff barely spoke english and we had trouble getting the discount we deserved)

I cannot comment about the quality or content of this museum as I am not an expert, but I did like the fact that it had a good variety of exhibits touching different subjects and different types of art (sculpting, painting, audi visual etc.). Also the museum is not busy at all, letting you go at your own pace. It was a quiet disconnection from all the business of every other touristic place in Rome. It offers a great view as well over Piazza Navona and some neighboring rooftops.

If I left a review here I would be silly. I just sat outside it on the bench underneath one of many magnificently carved figures that are apart of the arches. I only wanted to dry my t-shirt in the sun spot that bench attracts. The heat which I would like to say I handled well had me sweating perfusely so I dried my t-shirt here. I only seen the ticket stand inside the Museo but I'm sure it is a great place to visit. If I ever return I will be sure to make this a place to visit as I missed countless museums whilst here but what I missed I didn't miss.

An Antonio Canova exhibition mostly his plaster sculptures with a few marble pieces. His work is only part of his story. He has restored so many busts that are in very prestigious locations by many of the well known and well loved Masters. His work is beautiful the building the exhibit is located in is also beautiful. But the beauty ends there. Too many people in very small rooms. More photographs of his work than the actual work. It was very very disappointing and overpriced.

(Translated by Google) I state my ignorance of figurative art, but the visit to the palace disappointed me. The immersive sensation in the life of the Roman past is completely missing, which is claimed to be brought to life through paintings, placed however in environments completely transfigured by anonymous wooden panels and futuristic structures in (ugly) mirrors that should contain multimedia supports, but today they are off. Personally, it seemed like a useless waste, not only of money, but also of an opportunity.

(Translated by Google) Palazzo Braschi is not only home to a beautiful museum, with a respectable permanent collection (without considering the temporary exhibitions) but as a local tour guide I can tell you that its value goes far beyond this. In fact, Palazzo Braschi can be considered as the last noble building in Rome wanted by a pope, Pius VI Braschi, in the second half of the 18th century. For centuries many popes were the expression of noble families who, if only for social prestige, underlined their opulence through princely and magnificent residences, at least until history, as well as in part ethics, did not profoundly modify this custom. The building, of classical inspiration but with eclectic elements typical of that period, therefore represents a point of intersection between the new and the old, a point slavishly confirmed by the numerous art exhibitions that, periodically, find a home here, between the beautiful rooms of the palace. Whenever there is an exhibition here at Palazzo Braschi you will hardly be disappointed by the exhibition.
